    Amazing quality with the RODE mic! Also your control panel looks really good and immersive. Was thinking of using the same type of layout however lack of space I will have to split up control panel making it half of the size as I originally planned.

      @cammy9r 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sounds good, but have you considered building your own button box? It is not all that difficult and can be any layout and size you want with POTs, switches and encoders. Like undead parrot I like the Leo Bodnar boards but I use also Arduino and the HID interface cards. I started out with the interface cards (12 button arcade controller board) but then found out about the others.
      First project was a 48 button box that fitted around my x52 throttle then the rest built up from there. Version 2 is done and now thinking about others. I don't find Arduino easy but there are plenty scripts out there to modify.

    Very impressive! Now I really can't wait to see your second build! Maybe you could even offer your first build for sale on Ebay; unless ofcourse you salvaged it for all the switches and such. 🙂
    EDIT: Regarding the heat you might want to consider a mobile AC unit. I have my computer upstairs and it can get quite hot during summer so I bought a mobile AC unit for a few hundred bucks and it's powerful enough to cool the room down by several degrees while I hardly even hear it with my headset on. So that might be a solid investment. Or you could go with a split-unit that's much more effective and makes even less sound as the main AC unit is mounted on the ouside of your house with the blower being the only thing inside.

    • @UndeadParrot
      @UndeadParrot  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks!
      For now, I'm using two separate tools for this:
      1) Virpil's software to change the lights. A bit complicated to explain, probably should make a video of it.
      2) Joystick Gremlin to change the actual controls. I made separte mode (with my normal mode the parent) for landing, with less responsive joystick curves. Then just mapped the button to enter the mode, and flipping it to other direction changes the mode to general.
      There apparently is some JG plugin to control Virpil colors. Haven't had time to check it out yet, though I probably should.

    • @UndeadParrot
      @UndeadParrot  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, same issues here. SC is really badly optimized for wider resolutions. I'd expect CIG getting into it, but at least according to comments last year, they don't see that many people using really wide setups so it's not a priority for them.

    • @UndeadParrot
      @UndeadParrot  ปีที่แล้ว

      This version was build mostly for Star Citizen. Lately, with my newer modular setup I'm also getting into DCS.
      Mostly I've been Star Citizen though. I don't play it for what it may become, but what it is now. Even if it wouldn't ever release, there's still years of playing it ahead.
