      I feel exactly the same. Years of surgeries made me weak, out of shape and with osteopenia. Senior-shape videos have been able to get me moving again. So many options and the relaxed disposition is very encouraging!! A thousand thanks !!

    I started my day with this workout today and I loved it! My cleaning lady who is a bit older than me, saw the changes in my body today and asked about my secret.     I got my first band for Christmas and really enjoyed this practice! My band is circular but it worked fine. I’m excited to take it with me when I travel, so I can continue strength exercises on the road. Thank you for all your videos. I enjoy the mix of styles!

    as you said at the end, "this was tough"! And, like others, I haven't done band for some time. I always workout bare foot which makes the band tricky. And, that was a great workout anyway. Will try again.

      Thanks Cris! Essentrics is a licensed program that you have to be a part of in order to label workout as essentrics.(therefore, I can't on my channel) Just like I can't label my latin dance workouts as Zumba. My barre and pilates workouts are most similar to essentrics movements.

      Unfortunately, I can't wear these shoes again. I got them for my daughter, then quickly wore them when I filmed the video before she wore them outside and to school! They are really lightweight and comfortable :)

    I know it's going to be challenging when the warm up is a LOT! 😂😂 I DID IT... with 15 lb bands! Loved the leg exercises at the end!!

    ⁠@SeniorShapeFitness thank you for your response about the weight recommendation. For some reason it wouldn’t let me reply to your response. I’ve only done your resistance band workouts so that is specifically what I’m asking about. The bands that I have do have a weight number on it. Some say 5.8 lbs or 13.6 lbs etc. That was the number I was asking about. Maybe yours are different.

      Ok, got it Tammy! I have 3 different kinds, none of them have weight ratings on them. In general, start with a lighter band (they are usually thinner), then progress if you feel it’s too easy or when you get stronger. Hope that helps!

      Thank you, you are very welcome! You can do this workout a few times a week. It's best to alternate with other types of workouts such as cardio. I have many more videos with the resistance band as well so you can mix it up!

    @SeniorShapefitness You say you are using a ‘heavy weight’. Would love to have an idea of what weight you are using to gauge a starting point or range. Thanks for the workouts!

      Hi Tammy, I always say in the beginning of the videos what weight I’m using. I also put video information in the description box. This video that you commented on is a band video, so I’m unable to let you know a specific size dumbbell. In general, I consider “heavy weights “ to be 8+ pounds ( in my videos and for my audience)

    I haven't used this type of tubing with the handles since my shoulder PT some years ago. Fortunately I still had it kicking around so I could try this workout. I like the feel of it much more than a regular flex band, and the handles are comfortable with my RA hands (no digging from clutching a pinchy, cinched up rubber band). Do you have any more tubing workouts? I think it would be great on the floor for a Pilates side kick type workout. Thank you! 💙

    Hi Lauren. I ordered these bands and they are of terrific quality. I can't wait to use them. However, I had to pay an additional customs/import fee of almost $50.00 to the UPS driver. This was on top of the normal tax and shipping fees. I live in Canada but I haven't seen additional customs fees like this in a long time. I know there's nothing you can do about Alta's practices, but perhaps you could add a disclaimer to your recommendation saying there might be additional fees for international orders? Many thanks!       Hi Lauren I also think the ALTA bands look great. I am in the Uk and delivery alone was to be around £50 - so great as they might be alas delivery is prohibitively expensive !! Have purchased a cheaper alternative to see how I get on Keep up your good work with all these great workouts.

    Alta bands seem fantastic! My tube bands are always popping off their handles! Can you clean them after using for a while?

      Hi Robin. I do love my bands, especially since they don't pinch my skin or pull my hair. They don't come with cleaning instructions, but I think a damp microfiber cloth would work great!

      Hi Nadia. I always put the information about the video in the description section. I just cut and pasted it for you here: My resistance bands are from Alta and are amazing! They come in a pack of three bands that are covered in a silky fabric so they don't pinch or pull the skin (such a nice feature) and are extremely high quality. They also come with velcro loop attachments so you can put them on your ankles as well as a door attachment to adhere one side of the band. Definitely worth checking out.
