- At the 2024 Beijing Auto Show, Xiaomi's CEO Lei Jun embarked on a tour visiting the booths of leading electric vehicle (EV) manufacturers such as Nio, Xpeng and Li Auto. Xiaomi, a newcomer in the EV market and a Chinese consumer electronics giant, showcased its first EV, the SU7, last month.
Foreign automakers from Japan and Germany were also present, striving to catch up with surging Chinese EV makers who are dominating the world’s largest auto market. The Porsche Macan EV, the latest electric model from the renowned automaker, is equipped with a 100kWh battery pack supplied by CATL, a leading battery manufacturer based in Ningde, China.
Makoto Uchida, President and CEO of Nissan Motor, highlighted their strategic focus, “And now we want to make our strategy even stronger in China, how we can make sure to deliver the car which meets the customer needs and meets the speed. If we cannot do those two aspects, I think it is very difficult to keep our business in China."
Apart from Nissan, 117 global debut vehicles were on display, including 278 models powered by electric, hybrid, and hydrogen energy.

The friendship among China CEO is really heartwarming & down-to-earth.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
It's so safe there for the top CEOs too - walking around like any normal person without bodyguards ! No kidnappers & robbers to worry about !
They won't be able to do that in any lawless gangster country !😅
@@tkh2944 Lol, of course they have bodyguards. You just don't see them in the video.

He and Xiaomi is relief to be out of India.
What do you expect from a country where their population is running away from?

Light years ahead of India
No one cares about India though. What was even the point of mentioning them?
So what India is light years ahead in curry 😂
India is light years ahead in rape too

A type of friendly, open competition the US is terrified of
Nice XiaoMi.. good job
Positive Competition and Cooperation!! Nice!!
China is gradually doing what they should have done earlier... putting a united front, not internal competition
Friendly competition between the management of manufacturers is always a good sign.
The real competition should be in the marketplace so that customers can benefit from lower prices and better quality.
🤣🤣🤣 Nissan. Its days are numbered.
Japanese brands these days can only rely on US tariffs to protect them from going the way of the dinosaurs.
Look how worried those Japanese executives faces were in their speech. 😅
Lol, Japanese cars are still the highest quality. Not so much for made in China.
The manufacturer was like it's too expensive for the consumer. The German was like no worries we won't allow people to get cheaper high quality cars first that the middle class need desperately. We will charge a premium first and we will milk that strategy as long as we can. That's the strategy of the west
Nice XiaoMi 👍.....
I've watched a lot of Chinese drama from the kingdom period. Seeing each CEO complimenting each other remind me scenes of high ranking official giving each other praises while privately each of them plotting for their demise. It might speaks the same as it is the culture but it might not its 2024 afterall.
Hi available to the Philippines? Thanks 🇨🇳🇨🇳🇨🇳🧑🏽🦽🌴🦅☕️
European manufacturers in panic............good luck mercedes,audi,wolkswagen..........hard time is coming
Germany and China announced technology sharing. Volkswagen in Germany chose to cooperate with Xpeng Motors, and Mercedes-Benz chose to cooperate with Huawei.
I like how the CEO in China cooperate with each other.
He surpasses Elon musk
2 emerging CEO who invested in EVs extensively. The one to watch for in the future and definitely successful years ahead
"I think we need to work together to boost Beijing's automotive industry." - Because if you don't the west will conspire to destroy it with conquer and divide tactics...🤪
Uhm xiaomi doesn't need the west to interfere to have their ev industry flop. We've already seen how many accidents those cars have been just after debuting
It's just the beginning😊, it will improve and fix issues. @@Sean-giang
@@roro4787 uhm there is a reason why Apple or Samsung haven't jumped into producing evs because they don't just react to market trends for face value
Little Sean have no more things to troll and here he try to represent Apple and Samsung giving defensive speech. The fact is both company have no innovation strategy, just relying the symbol of their brand😂

I do hope Xiaomi CEO and others top CEO from Chinese Electronics Industry refrain from being out in limelight, we all seriously hope there won't be another kidnapping incident like what happened Meng Wanzhou, now that Trump is getting to be elected again.
Meng was arrested for sanction violation and bank fraud. The two Canadians were kidnapped for her release.
Don't worry, they won't be visiting US and their 5 eye alliance countries
Tofu car xiaomi
Aren’t his cars falling apart?
Only Clowns like ya watching propahs are falling apart. Guess how many car accidents happening each second
Tesla > xiaomi
It took them years to copy Tesla’s electric platform, but it’s practically impossible for them to catch up with Tesla’s AI capabilities. Traditional automakers and copycats simply lack the knowledge, data and hardware required to compete. Yet, they are so proud and self-congratulatory in this video it’s hard to feel any sympathy.
