Steering Clunk Fix - 06-12 Toyota RAV4

The steering clunk is very widespread in many Toyota vehicles including the RAV4. It is caused by a defect in the steering linkage under the dash. The linkage is easy to replace. Affordable replacement parts are available. Only tool required is a 12mm hex socket wrench.

this is a 2009 Toyota RAV4 the complaint is just a small movement of the steering wheel will cause a faint clunking noise this is the steering linkage from this Toyota Rav 4 which has electric power steering the location of this linkage is right underneath connecting from the steering rack up to the electric power steering motor replacing the linkage is very simple it has a bolt in the bottom and a bolt in the top you just undo them and then this linkage actually compresses both bolts are 12 mm hex head

Hi, what's the mileage on that car? Also could you do bank 1 sensor 1 O2 sensor on the rear exhaust manifold replacement? Is it difficult? There's none on youtube. Hope you enjoy this up coming Christmas.

It is not that difficult if you can get under the car. It's very easy if the car is on a lift. If you're trying to do it on your back with the car on jackstands, it could be difficult to reach.
