My appreciation for a new set of injectors has deepened immensely and the individuals who have honed their mind skills in order to achieve this level of awesomeness, such as yourself, sir. Gracias.
I appreciate Clint's videos, and refer to them often ! In this one however, he misspoke more than once when measuring the armature gap. He accurately had the correct .004 Feeler Gauge, but stated .03 and .04,. Just caught me by surprise. I know that we are only human .
Good day Clint. Regarding sonic cleaning, other than solenoid, is there anything else i should not be putting in there. I will be using purple power. Thank you for all the videos.
Following your video step by step. My pop-it has some fairly good wear it seems where the spring sits against it. Is that normal, or what is the tolerance for that wear? Id send a pic but i dont know how to on you tube
In future video please cover buying a new, vs rebuilt, vs rebuilding yourself injector. Personally, I just want stock injectors. New ones don’t seem to be much more than rebuilt. And rebuilt ones don’t seem to cost much more than quality parts to do yourself.
Is it possible for the injectors to fire oil from the upper part of the injector into the engine ? Or O rings leaking oil into the fuel rail from the hp oil rail? Thanks in advance.
Hi Clint-you are placing the parts in the jars filled with purple power concentrate in the ultrasonic tank? In other works you are not mixing the purple power and water you have the pieces separated, in the concentrate jars, in a water bath essentially? And reading your comments below... everything but the tip and solenoid goes in...
Perhaps you can help me with this, I had two different injector companies tell me that the orientation of the poppet needs to go back in exactly how it came out. They said if the get moved or mixed up then the cores are junk. I don’t understand that. My factory injector poppets came out facing a different direction. Armature holes not lined up to the poppet holes. I don’t get it. The way you line up the holes makes a ton more sense.
The poppet is in a shape of a cone and as long as that armature is at or above .002 before break down it will ride correctly any thing below that the poppet is junk any way and needs to be replaced, Its not like a rocker or push rods where it has worn in over time. Even the Ford tech update in 1998 to dealers point this out to correct the direction from up and down to side to side for the reason I pointed out. If the poppet with the armature installed during rebuild measures that the top or bottom is at different measurements that poppet is shot anyways and needs replacement
@@rigoffear ok so my 96 7.3 takes 13 quarts how much of the stiction do u use someone told me replace one quart with this stiction and leave it in thank for answering that comment I left I just noticed it now or I would have replied back sooner I went and bought both the green stiction and the I call it jack Daniels🤣 hot shot how do u go about it in your truck 🙏
like it won't unscrew or does unscrew and you can pull it up a little or a inch or so ? Both can be a condition where the glow plug ballooned from age or excessive over running of the glow plug timer If it has ballooned the best way is to remove the head tap it out //// 2nd way clamp like you never clamped before a needle nose vise grips to the plug run the engine for 3 to 5 minutes then turn off tap the grips with a hammer down and pull up, twist and keep doing till it loosens up and comes out and spray a wd40 type of product down the hole also WARNING the plug may just blow out on engine warm up if unscrewed so put a heavy moving blanked on top or the likes It can dent the hood upon exit

Mr. Allen, where are you located and how do I make an appointment?

Yes very common issue on worn / aged O rings

Id be cautious about the aluminum part going into the cleaner. Some cleaners could potentially damage it.
Thank You!
Thank you. Is Armature the best height at .004?
.0035

Right on
What injector cleaner is safe to use on these can someone tell me is Lucas ok to use?
He mentions Hotshot Secret. I use their stiction eliminator and injector cleaner (diesel extreme) religiously. Love their stuff.
