Matt's a hypocrite, he reversed into that filling position because he didn't want to wait for the person behind to finish paying. "Gas" is short for gasoline, which, by the way, is a word coined and used by the British, before they moved to "petrol." People in the UK have a tendency to coin words then move on to different words, just like soccar is a British coined word, replaced by the term "football." This actually happens in México most of times. In the north of México is really common to have pick up trucks, it’s your dad standard vehicle basically. Thing is most streets here are very narrow, cars park on the sidewalk, etc. Downtown, there’s street markets everyday so they cover the sidewalk and a piece of the lane. Even for a experienced pick up truck driver, it’s hard to drive those streets. Fun fact, it was actually motor spirit. Gasoline and Petrol come from the brand names of two companies that sold it long ago. Gasoline was coined by John Cassell as Cazeline, but because of copycat motor spirit brands that used his brand name, the name slowly evolved to gasoline. Petrol was also a product name, but because it was in such wide use for a long time as another word for any motor spirit, when the company tried to trademark it, it was denied. Therefore, we are all wrong. Losers

He said “why do they call it ‘gas’?! It’s a liquid??” We know, it’s just short for gasoline
We know it's gasoline but "gas" is not liquid, it's not like you're filling up with hydrogen
Also why do they call it petrol in the UK? petroleum is the unrefined version of Gasoline.
Well you guys know how gas works, right? The fumes are what's burned; not the liquid form.
@@applewoodsmokedbacon929 Well, it's considered a petroleum product, is it not?
Fun fact, it was actually motor spirit. Gasoline and Petrol come from the brand names of two companies that sold it long ago. Gasoline was coined by John Cassell as Cazeline, but because of copycat motor spirit brands that used his brand name, the name slowly evolved to gasoline. Petrol was also a product name, but because it was in such wide use for a long time as another word for any motor spirit, when the company tried to trademark it, it was denied. Therefore, we are all wrong. Losers
I want to see a North American dually pickup. That would be honestly hilarious.
F-550 Earthroamer LTi Would be great.
Hahaha coal rolling fiats and minis everywhere.
That would take both sides of the road 😂
@@BrandonTheInquirer well I mean, rams are fiats so
A dually being over 3.5 tons you would need a commercial license to drive it at least in France
Ahhh. As the typical Merican I loved this. It was hilarious to me to see people so annoyed, and you still had Texas plates on 🤣
ok in fairness, ram trucks are absolutely massive. My dad bought one and I thought my car was big until I took it out. Damn thing so long it was sticking out of the parking spot by a good amount. And good luck getting it in a garage to work on. I love them, but I'm happy to admire from a distance and steal it on the weekends
Big pickups like these would definitely be easier to live with if they had rear wheel steering.
Except trucks like this are usually used for actual work, albeit this one is a little too fancy to beat up. You definitely wouldn’t want the added complexity of rear wheel steering when your job is half a mile up a mud “road” on a strip mine lol. That shit would break so fast and cost a fortune to fix.
I think Chevy did that in the early 2000s
@@handthing9709Good old Quadrasteer. In the market for one, truck or S.U.V., doesn't matter, preferably both for a project I want to commit to.
@@charlesbrown4483trucks like this are not used for work, they’re used to get groceries by suburb dads who want to feel big
@@coopersanders2340 Not this one specifically. But most full sized trucks are objectively used for work. There’s a reason the 15, 25 and 35 lines of trucks are used en masse by so many companies across America. They’re actually suited for doing the work.
Over here in the states, a lot of folks daily drive heavy duty pickups like the f250 or the ram 2500 and living with a Mammoth in the states would be just fine, it's a very interesting perspective on how American vehicles are to live with in Europe! Interesting video!
Driving a new lease pick up for daily communte and complain about gas or groceries prices. So hilarious.
@@redwhite_040 the gas prices in Europe have been double or more and even in some countries with even lower income than USA. They just love to complain about gas.
I currently live in Belgium. The funny ( and mysterious) thing is that every time I see a Dodge Ram or Fors F150 it is comfortable parked in a parking spacs. While my relatives who drive around tiny cars cannot find any free spots. You never see a dodge ram doing double row parking
@@movietrailers6149 lol your a moron even if it cost you $100 to fill your 10 gallon tank, it'd take me $200 for half of mine. You drive small shitty European vehicles, we drive large durable American trucks that carry 50-100 gallon fuel tanks. It's not the same 😊
Why on earth would a sane person choose a pickup as a daily
😂 love this video, Mat. You should have revved those 1000 horses at the gasstation
He should’ve
*liquidstation 😂
I always wondered what it was like to drive an American truck in the UK it is a really stressful just watching you on the video thank you for showing us how way different it is on the roads out there...... Come on down to United States you can drive fast on the roads over here thank you so much
Especially in Texas where the speed limit is 85MPH!
He deliberately made it look more difficult than it really needed to be.
Come on over to Germany in Europe where there are no speed limits.
