Hi Mark, I've done a PP treatment on my pond and turned brown in about a hour, before I put the PP in the pond the water looked pretty clean, so I don't think the treatment has been very successful. Any thoughts on the please.
How many grams of PP should i use for 110g? Do I have to repeat it? My 3 shubunkins are constantly piping but not flashing and I know its not flukes, they were treated w prazi and fluke m. I know there is plentyyy of oxygen. I have no clue whats going on, ammonia, nitrite are both 0. Nitrate is a little above 40. Ph is around 7.2. Water temp is about 60 (the mini pond is in my basement until getter weather) or should i try using Terminate first? Kinda like a wishful shotgun approach. I did net the biggest one and looked at its gills and they are a normal bright red/pink. Any ideas???
I realise these are Koi, and mine are goldfish, but if u could possibly give an opinion on to why my fishes head has white patches from orange(like a depigmentation) not ich! I doubt it's Costia. The fish is very active, eating, clean water. Thank's
hi mark could you recommend a good treatment for fish lice {Argulus} iv just added 2 new koi and iv just noticed that thay have a few of them on there fins. thanks .
Why does everyone use PP for Costia. I wipe out Costia with Malachite Green and Formalin. Works in just 3 days and it’s a much safer treatment than PP. Only benefit I see to PP is the water change issue.
@@thelight9109 It will, koi are goldfish are both carp species with different lineages. You just need to very away of the dosage. Don’t buy it for koi buy it for goldfish at the pet store.
what treatment can be used in a salted pond as i know potassium cant be used. i have been doing large volume water changes and pond salt vol is still at 2%
Can any 1 help my fish seem ok then a few may fall to the floor sit there for a while then off they go again some lie down look dead then again after a while off they go. I tried salt baths that didn't work. Water check good treated for trichodina as they were present. I have just come across sleepy disease but cant find any info on what to do

I discovered that some of my smaller fish that weren't looking too good I put into a separate tank same pond water added aquarium salt and ipa stress coat and constant temperature 22 degrees these seem to pick up, so I added the stress coat to the pond, the fish seem to be ok now. Iv kept koi for 18 years had flukes once other than that all ok until I introduced some more fish. May be best to introduce new fish when the water temperature is above 20 degrees.
@@andrewbailey2547 yes I use the stress coat and salt in main pond, helps when doing a water change,and I dose with pp once a month, all good, happy pounding

After these treatments is it advisable to buy a filter booster to regenerate the beneficial bacteria?

Hi. It sounds like fungus or a bacterial to me. Can't really say without a picture. If it is fungus or a bacterial a salt bath will cure it.👍😀

Hello. No don't use with them as could die ok. If you can use a kids pool and put them in that while you treat your pond.
