Dont be so hard on yourself. It's not bad koi keeping at all. Best if it happened now as if it had happened a week later, you probably would have thought that the new fish came with it, or he could have been infected, so it's a positive thing. Nice video!
Thanks, I do feel a bit bad for not finding it before I out the new fish in 🙂 I did scrape that chagoi to make sure it was clean and it was, seems to have settled in well now and getting stuck into its food. They seem to have all perked up and there appetite has increased loads since the treatment so it's definitely helped. Second dose is going in tomorrow so they probably sulk about for another day. Hopefully that will be it for treatments now this year 🤞

Pond looking good mate , dont worry about the parasites , its part of Koi keeping . You have noticed it and treated them early . Don't beat your self up about it .

Totally agree with flukes and possibly tric you normally have a few in the pond but costia can be a killer if left untreated as I've had happen to me in the past. Taking no chances since the shiro had gone pink and veiny

It's been a never ending battle with parasites this year. Atleast I've finally shifted the flukes. Hopefully this is the last time I'll have to treat this year
@@DerbyKoi I see you've been having some fluke problems too? Have to give us your thoughts on the fluke solve plus. Just about to watch your video. PP followed by fluke solve did it for me. Touch wood they haven't come back yet and I've scraped about 10 fish since.
@@dannycurrie1 cheers mate. Iv lost patience with it noe so they will just be replaced with hardy nice looking fish like shubumpkins n comets. Hope it doesnt come to that but two arnt looking good
@@dannycurrie1 sturgeon prefer cold water n mine gets quite warm in summer plus the whole getting enough food down them issue. Not lost any yet but im thinking albino grass carp, mirror, ghost carp, shubumpkins n comets if i do leave the koi world (less inbred better immunity) 10 koi in mine hope i can just get over this bacterial infection. Nothing on scrapes. Cracking vid as per mate for me your up there as one of my favourite channels 👍🐟👏

Keep up great mate koi just have parasites don't think ever get rid of them just live with them only when out of hand you have to treat 👍
