This is interesting to me as someone who works the professional shows here in the USA. One difference I can immediately see is we don't angle the cannons much here, mostly because we aren't using such a large space to launch and have to do our best to control where things come down. So the fan types here are smaller and don't launch near as high as the cannons.

John, as a long time follower/subscriber, I appreciate the effort you put into you various posts.
Its always obvious to me you do your research ahead of time & provide valuable (wanted) info re history, back ground etc of places or areas you visit. You do this whether you visit a region, or regional city or even just a Tokyo sidestreet.
Its obvious you dont take the easy way out re a post ie wake up, get dressed, ride down a street & then just walk down the street commentating simply what you see. That to me is the easy way to do a 45min live post.
But as followers stuck overseas, the incites, old photos, maps, graphs, charts you show us makes watching your segments so much more fun, interesting and valuable for us that (one day ..lol) we might also do on our next trip to Japan.
So this Fireworks project again shows us your effort to "get off your butt" and do things the hard way. Well done to you & Kanae.

welaka I’m from Indonesia and and here, there is no festival like that except for the new year and even then the celebration of fireworks is not as festive as in Japan 🤣

More like Mortars I love seeing Kanae doing more of an active role in your videos not just behind the scenes especially when you are together be so nice for Kanae be included in the making of the fireworks not something everyone gets to do in a life time be great to see you both be involved.
