I have been studying romulan philosophy at the Imperial University, with the great scholar Mog T'pwis, and I can tell that this moto of theirs, is foolish, and a lie. Every one claims purity and power, in order to hide their own weaknesses and anguish, toward the unknown. The third law of self-critical insight, written in the Ak' Tshu Book of B'larr, teaches that, before collapse, there is pride, and beneath the surface of self-affirmation, there is doubt. As doubt hides under the pretention of certainty, pride is merely disguised as purity here, and it has been a tool for the military, to overcome the opposition of anti-war activists, amongst romulan people. Baru na shi' klak.

@@donpula6349 Star Trek Picard said that Romulus had 900M people. That number seems far more likely to me, that the Romulans started 2000 years ago with only a few thousand people.
@@tomasr. 900 million? A vast interstellar empire with 900 million on their homeworld while there are trillions of lives in the galaxy and 1 trillion in the federation alone and the writers expect us to believe the Romulans would be a threat to the federation let alone the klingons? Thats just bad writing... especially considering how badly they were hurt by the loss of their homeworld if their population was more spread out across the empire that wouldnt be believable.
I can't believe for a second that the romulans could spread so far and control so much with such a tiny population.
@@andrepettersson175 Maybe there are 1 trillion individuals in the Federation, but mostly we see only humans (like in the Dominion war). So there is nice that is 185 members of the Federation (most of them have never been seen) , but military power is mostly made up of Earth only. If we see Starfleet Command somewhere, it is made up of 90% if the humans and the vulcans. Simply most of the worlds in the Federation are due to military protection and economic cooperation, but otherwise the Earth does not control them in any way and does not add to the power of the Federation. According to some novels, in the Romulan War they destroyed a few worlds by nuclear bombing (Andoria, Coridan), so they rule with fear. There are probably several serf worlds in their empire as well, but their government and army are made up exclusively of Romulans and Remans. How they can be a threat to large Federation? Nice example is in the Expansion series, where for Earth with 15 billion inhabitants and 195 members (but 30% unemployed) is a threat Mars with several hundreds millions (mostly soldiers and engineers).
@@andrepettersson175 900 million people were evacuated from Romulus. That means that at least 900 million people lived there, but presumably there were far more on the planet that were not evacuated and still more in the rest of the Romulan Empire where evacuation would not have been necessary.

The Gladius Warbird is a Kelvin Timeline Refit of the older T'Varo class.

@@user-roninwolf1981 Yes. It's very similar to the 22nd Century Bird of Prey. But it's design is exclusive to Fleet Command.
It would be absolutely amazing to have these ships in STO.

Don't know much about Star trek but this race or whatever they're called sounds badass.
They are called Romulans "those who march beneath the Raptor's wings". Basically distant cousins of the Vulcans (space elves) that rejected Surak's reforms using logic to suppress emotions and left Vulcan to their new home "Romulus". They embraced their dark violent and passionate emotions while creating their own empire called the "Romulan Star Empire". They often use trickery and guile to conquer others and are extremely xenophobic.
They are indeed badass. Sneaky, deceptive, highly intelligent, cunning, ambitious, etc.

“K” is a letter that is emphasized so often in Klingon names that it is ironic that this is not applied to their planet.
