I think the hood is ugly and the wheels are hideous. But that's subjective - my personal taste. What's not subjective is the horrible crime they committed by butchering such a well preserved survivor car. While I wouldn't have optioned a 1973 Camaro in that color or that vinyl roof, you have to honor that car and the people who no doubt spent a lot of time, money, and effort (and maybe love) keeping that thing together in that shape. If I was the guy selling it to them and I knew this was what they had in mind, I'd probably have to see an extra zero added to the selling price before I could part with it. And maybe not even then.

Jeremy McClanahan nobody! And I mean Nobody! Would register their car in California. Taxes are crazy high and you have to renew every year. It’s a tax hungry hell hole. Every year they want 167 dollar just to register my 40 pound dog.

@@kmoss9521 Did you ever think that maybe there are licensing fee benefits for military personnel? Like, the California DMV waves vehicle licensing fees to them.
Also, a portion of California DMV fees are considered personal property taxes. Guess what....personal property taxes are tax deductible.
In my initial statement, I said that someone can register their vehicle in one sate but be a resident of another. Never did I say that it is a good idea or a bad idea. I have provided you with just a few DMV benefits for California that might help make sense of why someone would.

When it is your project, no matter what it is, you can do whatever you want with it. Was this car "destroyed"? Hardly. Highly modified to do what they wanted? It looks like it was. If it was supposed to be a concourse restoration on a one-of-a-kind musclecar then perhaps they didn't do it justice.......but this was a pro touring type build with a nice foundation to start with.
I'd really like to see the people who comment on how bad these builds are to show all of us others just how to really do something right by posting their builds on cars and engines. I'll wait.
