- We've been waiting for quite a while to shoot this one. My friend Sean Smith did the design work, Gabes did the interior and it was built by Stones Metal Shop and its a serious badass. 600 whp from an n/a LSX with stunning fab work and all the right sounds.
Sit back and enjoy the ride...

Probably the best interior I've ever seen. The switches and gauges look phenomenal.
owner looks as tough as the car
I wouldn’t mess with him either 😎
What a magnificent channel. Thank goodness for TH-cam and car content like this. Love this.
Love second gens. So beautiful.
wldwst22 me too and they don’t get enough love imo. This one is perfect to me
Love those flush windows and other small things on the body
Yes my favorite too😁
@@AutotopiaLA shhhhhhh
This car is the epitome of “just enough”. All the right mods but the original lines and bodywork have barely been changed. Flush fit glass and wheels make it that much more badass. Awesome Camaro
Actually alot has been changed altering the cars original body lines. Completely ruined the back end it just doesn't look as good as the original rear end. Should have started with a junk yard car no need to RIP up an original beauty.
The interior just stunning I like every iteration of the car great show!
Cedric Demps one of the best interiors I’ve ever seen. That steering wheel!
Wow is right. Everything is tastefully done. The paint & cerakoting look great together and not one drop of bad ass is missing either.
TheGunfighter45acp agreed all the way
Wow! And I thought the other 71 you highlighted was sick. Just gorgeous!
These are two of the best 2nd gens I’ve ever seen and driven
Mustang guy here but this Bowtie is hot, love the 70 and 71's.
Thanks for the video about real cars I grew up with.
Fantastic. No one does custom work like you guys in the Usa.Europe my ass!!!!
Especially with restomods and pro touring cars
Can't wait to save up money and finally start restoring my dad's 71 widebody spilt bumper Camaro👍
Awesome!! I want a 70-71 badly
Love the Camaro. I had a 75 but always wanted a 72 with the front teardrop bumpers.
70-71 is my favorite Camaro ever. This one is stunning
Yt? Cool ass car needs tub
Needs more 1000hp
That was my first car! To bad I had a gas leak and it caught fire! Sweet machine!
Jaw dropping build thats oozing with precision , quality and trickness of a European exotic. GM should clone this car for the masses.
I wish GM made this car!!
Ac from Lamborghini while there is a ferrari horse on it😂😂
Some people get a little nervous on camera. Easy to make a simple mistake. Pretty sure Steve knows every choice and every detail of his build
Yeah I noticed that too. Besides Lambo always uses hexagon. But who cares, like Ferrari's way better
Belíssimo exemplar amigos linda cor interior e a preparação em si sem palavras lindo perfeito de verdade abraço a todos
So tastefully done. Stunning
Absolute beauty right here
Your videos make staying indoors a little easier.
Thank you and I know it’s an odd time right now. Glad we make it a little easier
What a beautiful machine
This one is on a whole other level
This guys crazy, he should have started with another pos Camaro. Car looks 👍
He is crazy but what an amazing build
AutotopiaLA for sure
I keep comin back to this video
that is the nicest engine i've ever seen...love the matte finish my first time ever seeing that finish on a engine
I'll take that over a Lamborghini or Ferrari any day
Any day! Same for me
Had to put on my headphones for this one, Nice clean take on that car.
the most beautiful Camaro i've seen
It’s about to be available…don’t know the price but won’t be cheap that’s for sure
This is PAINT!!!
Sounds and looks as unique as perfect custom mashups can get, how awesome are the throttle sounds 👌
Thank-you so much 🤩
Mate, you got a new subscriber, this car is awesome, is not from this planet. Describe me in few words, what did you feel, when you drive that monster?
Just Wow!!! And very tasteful
Absolute class on this design and build
Wow you dudes are awesome 👏 in everything you do! Man o man it’s custom perfection 🦾👉🏼👌🏼💪🏼😃👍
Insane how great a three versions are. I like the ending but all were great.
As a Mustang guy, I really like this one! The second gen Camaros don't get much love.
JL Farlow they don’t and they’re my personal favorite. This one is stunning
They are my fav gen of Camaro as well
The original blue looked great
Gabriel F it did but I love where it has gone personally
Gabriel F vesture
I loved the orange version...so nice, this one looks awesome but prefer the Orange
Oh most def those first 2 restos were primo. Good to see yall old heads building shit around suspension tho. We evolve together generationally, us car guys and gals. Next generation of car enthusiasts gonna be doin garage aero with self taught CAD skills they learned from youtube videos to make dads Fox Body take a whole G of force more in turns. Lets gooooooo.
Buy one yourself and do that then. This is his drea
This car is a beautiful Frankenstein Monster. The Lambo touch, the European mix on an Ameeican musclecar classic is so creative. Makes someone like me think Wow, how do they know ?!! I think what a mind for cars, what an eye.
Awesome build👍🤙
Very nice old school styleing
70-73 my favorite years for the maro!
Danny Smith sane for me all the way
Sorry to inform you but that's because you are one of those guys that has great taste. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. haha I had a 71 RS. Like all the stories go, I regret selling it.
Not me... the 67-69 are my favorite. But I still love the 70-73. Love them all 😍😛
@@vibes3360 the 67 had the wing window the 68 didn't and the 69 had the arch wheel wells were the Bodyline followed out of them it was pretty cool every year was different on those even though it was only a 3-year run
Wow simple be so distinct Love it
This is one of my favorite customs ever
This is my favorite body style 70-71.
@Craig D ok body is the same, grill, lights and front bumper different. But the 70-71 pretty much identical
Insane.
Such a sick build
Not a big Camaro guy. But this is beautiful
Hands down most perfect Camaro I’ve ever seen.
Been eye ballin this maro, thanks for the upload on this beauty👌
It’s such an amazing build and design. Stoked we finally got to shoot it
Love this build you have excellent taste....I wouldn't change a thing respect from NY
that exhaust note is like a symphony.
Woops, was it me or did the last burnout look like clutch smoke 😳
no lol
They weren't even getting on it.
@@csmith4463 right but the wheels weren't spinning and there's no black lines being painted and the smoke is coming from center of the vehicle
@@zr1vetteman09 I'm not arguing that it wasn't the clutch. It was the clutch. I just also know that Steve told them to go ahead and push it, but they didn't.
It was clutch smoke 100%. Feel bad for the camaro.
Let that 454 exhaust roar!!! Needs straight piped
Damn nice car!
Looks and sounded great! Interior is simple and very good taste!
Beautiful god damn. I'm a sucker for red and black though
Me too and the design work is spotless here
Best looking '71 Camaro restomod for sure, The vents are Ferrari, you can see the prancing horse on them.
Had a 95 z/28 miss it everyday. I've always wanted a open face split bumper! Beautiful car.
Shawn. Can you ask one of the more important questions which is frequently not asked: "How much did you spend on the car in parts and in labor?"
SanFranciscoBay I used to ask and people get uncomfortable about it but this car is around $400K for the last build not including the original buy and first build
@@AutotopiaLA I agree. Some people openly discuss the costs of cars and others avoid it. Ask the builder and they will give you close numbers. Ask an owner and they may or may not want to discuss it.
Where can I find a shell
This channel gets better and better.
I just saw 2 boys inside the Beast.
Saw this car fathers day weekend in brea. It better in person.
HAVE MERCY! I've died and gone to friggin' heaven! I hope! LMAO!!!!
Same for me! Absolutely love this design and build
I’m done 😂😂😂
Stunning Camaro!! Absolutely perfect👍👍👍
Bigred911s 911GTS agreed all the way. Perfect choices everywhere on this one
Amazing car!!! Love the color. Would like to know what DTR lights are those in the bumper
Lord have mercy. Such a sweet build. This channels my new addiction 🤤🏆🏆🏆🏆
Another awesome video. Keep them coming!
Man the attention to detail and amount of man hours that went into that build are insane. It's a nice touch how they color matched the intake and exhaust piping and in Cerakote! That alone with all the matching engine bolt-ons are a big touch, yet a shit ton of extra work most builder's skipover.
That is one of my dream cars. Its so perfect and Im so green with envy.
SinSear001 it really is a perfect restomod
Love this car.. one of if not my favorite classic car
Every car you show is perfection
mrharden11 lucky here in SoCal to have access to so many amazing vehicles
Early 2nd gen Camaros deserve more love because this style is so under appreciated. The execution of the mods on this car are nothing short of spectacular. Love how the exhaust exits through the valence below the rear bumper a la first gen Mustangs. Makes you kinda of wish that stylists at GM Design Staff had "borrowed" it.
Same for me. Personally, 2nd gen is my favorite Camaro especially 70-71
AutotopiaLA Mine too. It all started with my AFX Chaparral Camaro slot car.
Sick ass 71 camaro
Definitely one cool looking car and that gauge cluster is epic, love the look it just stands right out as soon as you look inside the car.
The TT seats off eBay made me giggle a bit, not what I would have expected =)
I didn’t expect to hear TT either but they sure fit and the upholstery work from Gabes is spectacular as usual from them
Beatiful, nice camaro
This one is making me miss my 70 1/2 split bumper. Nothing like this one but it was a fun one. Should of never sold that it. Great video as always though! 🍻
Looks cool overall. Interior very nice. I have a 70 Z28 with ZZ 572 cubic inch putting out 621 HP to crank. I have sniper Fuel injection. Mine looks like his before. Blue with black stripes. I like that look better honestly. I don’t like the cheap looking spoiler on front although that’s how they came in 71. I also think back looks too bare with no spoiler.
nailed it. Sometimes I think people go too far with custom stuff, but this one has just the right amount of custom touches & tasteful mods
This may be a fave
So awesome!
OMFG... Perfection.
1:34 Who recognizes that cool guy ? Barry Meguiar from Car Crazy .
Major Wilkes Jr. He is cool 😎
Sweet build omg
This car is perfection!
😷👍🏻 𝘿𝙧. 𝘼𝙥𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙙. I'm a complex guy - I see an Autotopia vid drop and I drop everything I'm doing and get lit, crank the external amplifier, and enjoy the virtual adrenaline. Your channel reminds me of why I appreciate living through this stone age of civilization... future gens will never have the visceral experience of wrestling, coaxing, & finessing combustion beasts like this. Sean has impeccable taste
ᙅYᙖᙓᖇ ᗪOᙅ™ thanks!! Seems like we have the same taste 👊
perfect in every aspects. That sound is just incredible
Son Pham this whole car is simply perfect
Lovely! But was that the clutch going at the end?
That was me...clutch was tricky as it didn’t engage until the pedal was almost completely out. My fail and the clutch thankfully was fine
Clean, smooth, perfect ! (and thank Christ, it`s a STICK ! :-)
Beautiful build and seems like everything is working right now
My favorite Car! I personally wouldve left it original if I got it that way.
Sometimes when you have something for a period of time. You get bored with it.
@@csmith4463 True👍🏼
@ 8:48 this vents look like they are from a Ferrari. Considering the fact that there is a PRANCING HORSE on them. Last time i checked lambos had a bull! Hahaha all good I’m just trolling!
Troll! 😂 Yeah, simple mistake from Steve
Surprised no one has mentioned that those are actually Ferrari air vents, not lambo, but no biggie
Great episode and amazing build! So much detail. Owner was heavily involved in the build, very cool.
Sean _'it's just a car'_ Smith. :-) This car has been absolutely perfected to the maximum! So tastefully done all around. Love this guy's style and attitude. 1st class.
ᙅYᙖᙓᖇ ᗪOᙅ™ he’s the best. Absolutely love what Sean does and his sense of humor is hilarious!
Nível de customização absurdo! Perfeição em cada detalhe. Greetings from Brazil, amazing channel AutotopiaLA
Thank you!!
How cool is Steve? Lets Shawn have at it with that sweet Camaro.
gsg9ff he’s such a great guy! Glad to know him
Another excellent vid and badass ride👊
This has me missing my 70 Camaro. I also had a 72 for parts. The crazy thing is that they both had column shift. Insane what they're worth now.
Sooner or later I want a built 2nd gen. Still my favorite of all Camaro’s
Exceptional
Nice car .
Yeah, truly a work of art
Now that's a Camaro any Ford guy would want!
Also...the link for merch isn't working.
I may have put the wrong link...www.atlamerch.com
It is that type of lit!!
I am surprised that street isn’t jet black with all the heavy launches ! 😂
I had a 71 back in the day owned it until 86 Had a 350 hp 350 Nice car I sure miss it now !
I want a 2nd gen badly. This is my favorite of Camaro’s
Whats this color code? Beautiful! I Have a 55 chevy love to do this color......
I've missed out on so many cars, alot of catching up to do!
Bad ass Camaro, best looking body style for customizing, man I need a job like yours, let me know if you need a day off.
I’m 2nd gen all the way! We’re building one this year based around the 70’s Trans Am racers
