Hello thanks you very I really appreciated this video. I am trying to make a greenish black pearl with iridescent purples hues on the sides of the pearl. If ever you needs ideas for videos. I'd be very happy to see you make a tahitian pearl.
Pro tip: When you're selecting your colors, it's much easier to just click-drag on the color wheel to get the colour you want. The swatch will update in real time, so you don't waste a bunch of time trying to adjust HSL values to get the color you want.
@@blenderbitesize I agree... because I was watching you spend 30 seconds messing around with value bars, and I just click-draged to match your color. It was easier, faster and better. Liberating! ;)
Excellent done. Reducing most or all of the color ramp values to about 50% also produces an pleasant dark pearl effect too.
Your tutorials are simply awesome, thanks a bunch for all of them!
Thanks for the feedback!

Sometimes, doing it another way can be liberating. Thanks for the tip though. Appreciate it.

nice
Thank you.
Just to save you time in the future: The Subsurface IOR (and other subsurface settings) do nothing at all if the initial Subsurface value is zero.
Thank you.
