    70s-90s shit was so much more hardcore than it is now. Despite people thinking crime is worse, it isn't. Great to get these stories down on the record as a part of history.

    I am shocked! Bewildered and baffled. Bamboozled. Discombobulated. Bewitched.
    Nothing like that ever happened in San Francisco Chinatown.

    Hey bro…this channel sure brings back a lot of memories!! I know how it was back in the days. I grew up in Queens and got in some strange situation with KP, WT & BTK. Not bad but just strange as I think of it now. Cheers!!!

    It's interesting that Tung On paid other guys red envelopes, I assume these were bigger gangs and it was just better to keep the peace? Would these be Triad gangs that go back to HK?

    • @chinatowngangstories
      @chinatowngangstories  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      A one time fee to the more established gangs. When the Flying Dragons and the Ghost Shadows go up to offer protection and find out it’s under Tung On protection, it’s better to let them leave with a red envelope out of respect. If they come back, then the shooting begins.
