This is the absolute best video for this genre on TH-cam. The way Kenny spoke the story arc was intriguing from beginning to end.
As a listener, it's still a mystery why his father didn't want any profits from the robbery, but to me that sounds like he did it out of spite; a personal beef. And I was surprised to hear younger Kenny wouldn't have seeked revenge if he learned of his father's death. At the end it was touching to hear his regret abandoning his familial duties as a son and brother when he was a gangster.
Kid Jai sounds legendary, especially after hearing about his character and promise keeping. I assume he's too much of an "old school gangster" as Kenny said to ever speak in an interview but maybe I'm wrong. Looking forward to Part 2. Cheers

Here is the the logic. Your dad's Hit Sing partner used his Hit Sing Seniority forced his way into your Dad's lucrative seafood business. Based on your description, you dad saw it as a insult and if he let's continue other will follow. So he decided to teach him a big lesson by making him lost big financially and indirectly let him know he did it but your Dad under estimated the insult he put on his partner and his balls. This kind of tactic is very common in Chinese culture. The reason your dad didn't want any of the money 1)His goal is not money 2)150K is not much in his eyes 3) That's how he establish relationship. After all, Kid Jai look after u for life.

"he still treats me like a kid sometimes and I'm 54 years old". There is a bond of love and respect between those two that can only be honoured and admired. Many a father and son would willingly give plenty to have just a part of what those two have. As an old old man, I think it's wonderful.

Why Kenny’s Father didn’t ask a share of the robbery? Because he wants to have stronger bond with Kid 仔 by giving him a gift, which are the money from the other guy and the unknown source of those goods. In Chinese called borrowing flowers to worship Buddha(借花敬佛)。 Some aggressive Chinese business people like to build good relationships with the organized crime leaders, so one day they might need their help.

@Zika om the international level its a combination of nationalities. I.e china sells ingredients to mexico to manufacture meth or fentanyl etc..
But mostly the italians are the distributors/importers, in a international scale we're talking about. Then under that theres a class or so lower - crime syndicates, chinese, europeans, then buy under the distributors and sell them to whatever state, then gangs or biker mc's, smaller organisations sell them, then basically it just keeps scaling down to the guys in the street.
From the guys in suits to the guys in the corner of the street. Lol.

He fought AD for some petty shit and he started crying when nobody was supporting his music. I lost respect for him after that, he thought he was about to leave prison and take over the rap game. You know how hard that is for a asian?! Dude is average at rapping but he thinks he’s the nicest rapper in NY lol. Yea my point is, real asian gang members hate people like China Mac. It was easy to fall into that life 20-30 years ago. You hang out with people that looked like you. They were your friends. next thing you know your group of friends has a nick name. next thing you know one of your friends gets into a fight. next thing you know you, you're at the park fighting against some other kids. and boom one of them has a gun. that's how easily a gang war starts.

    • @cvgodd1432
      @cvgodd1432 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Even easier than that lol.. you go talk to a girl. That girl used to date a gang member. The gang member finds out and gets someone to hurt you. Now you want revenge. That easy and women have caused more wars than anything else. One thing my father always told me is to NEVER fight over a girl. There’s literally billions of women on this earth, why fight over one who probably going to leave you anyways. I understand when people defend their wife or girlfriend but a lot of men know a girl for a few months and are ready to die for them. The girl just likes the attention and once it’s all over they not dating either one of you guys lol.

My theory is Kid Jai is using your father to set up for his own game. Also and Kid Jai has you as his wing so if your father made any mistake you are gone. At the same time he also took the responsiblity of you. Pretty crazy theory though. Kid Jai is crafty old man.

@@Amgis9369 That's the funny part the father didn't want any of the money. Also you would be dumb to wear those stolen necklace. You don't want that heat man.

@DaiMa but it makes no sense that his father didn't want the money though and this is all according to what that old man kid jai said, a deal like that goes down like that and they get rob, and kid jai is the only one benefiting from this deal ? It sounds like they did plan to rob the deal and kid jai snaked Kenny's dad in the end, and kept everything to himself, if me and you are friends and I come to you with a plan to rob someone ...... why would I not want my cut at the end, the story doesn't add up and I don't know if Kenny notices 🤔

@@jack604 actually it could make sense Kenny’s dad didn’t want the money.
The key piece in this is that Kenny’s dad said I’m sorry to Kenny’s mom. This right here says Kenny’s dad was involved with some things that was not good.
So don’t think the uncle did any double cross.
Here is a theory. Since the two business guys were actually relatives perhaps Kenny’s dad felt that the transaction taking place warranted a lesser profit. It’s like why are you trying to make so much off your own cousin.
The transaction was all under the table. Maybe Kenny’s dad felt the other guy was being too greedy and needed to realize you can’t conduct business without paying up.
Getting back the jewelry and wearing was more about telling the other business guy watch the way you do business. Perhaps a bit extreme.
I guess the lesson is be careful about wishing to have a lot of money. It can bring out the worst in people.
