I was just diagnosed with pernicious anemia. Three months of weekly B12 Shots after a B12 level of 99. After my endoscopy, the gastroenterologist diagnosed elevated antibodies to intrinsic factor and atrophic gastritis. Told only solution is to monitor B12 levels. if you cant handle methylcobalamin because you notice your anxiety gets way worse or you have other symptoms, you can try hydroxocobalamin which is a different form of B12 that is for sensitive bodies. It is unmethylated and people report not having the anxiety flare ups that methylcobalamin gives them. DE-STRESS and get your stomach acid up like Dr Berg states. B12 deficiencies are among the top 5 most widespread deficiencies in the world now. This proves it has nothing to do with veganism. Which is better absorbed, B12 on an empty stomach first thing in the morning (after acidifying the stomach with apple cider vinegar), or B12 during a meal?
Cyanocobalamin and Methylcobalmin are two forms of B12 available. But Methylcobalmin is active form of B12, which will be absorbed without undergoing any process in stomach or body.
