I love the binding board. I wrap my finished binding on a cardboard tube, a half of a toilet paper tube is perfect, then I slide it onto an upright paper towel holder. The one from Dollar Tree is perfect. The binding unwinds perfectly as you are then sewing it onto your project.
Not in this video, but this method is fine for bias binding too. You just have to be careful of the bias and not to pull the fabric too hard and stretch it.
I do this on my ironing board, and use baby diaper pins. Works like a charm!
Thanks for sharing. I couldn’t find one of these boards
@@verwilliams1 I just googled The Kwilt It! Binding Board and sellers are shown. They're about $42 +/-

oh yeah lots of us have been doing this a long time on our ironing board with a few pins.👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
That was fast and easy! No more burning fingers. Love it!
I remember seeing my mom and my grandma doing this -- and I've done it for the past 50 years.. Nothing new here!
Look at this as a portable ironing station, which makes it easy for you to do your binding! This is great item to take to retreats!
What a clever idea
Thank you
😮wow good idea
Fabulous!
I would love to have one of these so I went to your website but was unable to find it.
Doll making needles are several inches long. Their length makes them great for binding boards. You don’t have to fiddle with short pins.
Gee I figured that on my very first attempt at binding, great minds…..
Nice idea, but not new. I wont be able to do this as I have an oliso iron 😅😅
You can use your oliso iron with this, I do! I just turn off the pop up option while I am ironing the binding.
Thank you for that tip! 🧵
How does the fabric not scorch while the iron sits on it so long?
👍❤️😊
Ummm.... you gals dont use binding cut on the bias?

Doll needles work better. Use a piece of cardboard to wrap it. What kind of reflective material is on her ironing board?
She probably used thermolite as it’s reflective. You could do this on your own ironing board, like I do.
@@m0ther0ne does it darken the fabric on your ironing board? Or overheat it?
Use a small clean trash can to hold your flat binding before you press…
