Seeing John get his butt kicked by Rellana is nice to see haha I think shes such an amazing boss I think one thing John could improve to take less tries, is to not rely on the second combo of Rivers of Blood, since these enemies can punish you through it, but it doesnt matter Another thing i learned is that when using summons, you should wait till after the boss's combo on your summon before attacking In any case it was a great fight to watch!
At the end of the game, I love when you say to the bird. S you know, if you all come together instead of separate it, you might have a chance and then lo and behold there you go 3 at a time. LOL love it.
All greases work on any weapon so long as the weapon isn't a "unique" weapon such as Rivers of Blood or Moonveil, and it isn't given any special affinity such as Magic, bleed or occult. So you can apply bleed grease on a katana that already has bleed buildup, but only if it's a regular Uchigatana/Nagakiba with standard, heavy, keen, or quality affinity.
Jon headpieces that are good for your build. Number one is Okina Mask. This increases your Dexterity by plus 3, which is just great. It also sort of fits the Samurai theme. The other option is the White Mask, which increases your attack rating by 10% for 20 seconds when something around you suffers from blood loss
John’s DBD side was coming out when he said Michaela. I love watching him play this and think it’s awesome that he uses the summons. I use black knife Tiche and I didn’t notice any nerf on her. She’s still as bad ass as ever😁
I appreciate that even with all the crazy cosmetic choices in this game, John still holds fast to his fashion requirement of 'Hot Redhead Azz Kicker.' 😉😆

Rellana dual-wielding a fire sword and a moonlight/ice (?) sword looks VERY cool. Also YES the fight in Elden Ring where it was a really boring repeat boss (with a name like Gambler? or something? like just a big hulking barbarian type with an axe or something) at the end of a Hero's Grave dungeon or w/e (or just a cave boss) and John just ran around examining the room while Tiche or whoever stomped em. It feels like that was either to wrap up an area or on the final tour wrapping up unfinished business, because John and his summon were SO op for that boss. I think he had also just wiped the floor with one or two bosses he was accidentally over-leveled for at that point so he was just having fun with it.
i honestly love to see you use rivers of blood and mimic tear and a summon its just fun, and there's nothing that makes it less honorable even if weird fromsoft bros love to pretend its cheating or whatever

No one I've watched playing this game seems like they want to be playing it and I don't want to play it either because I'd had enough by the end of the main game. I really feel like unless they had come with something really mind-blowing, more of the same is just monotonous.
Wonder how far into the DLC he is as of posting this video, for all I know he has finished it and thus all advice is pointless, as what happened in the base game playthrough. Backhand blade was a new weapon that you got in part 2, not a duplicate, in fact barring potentially three weapons dropped by base game enemies they are all new, some like the great katana or light greatsword have new movesets. Also you should try new weapons if you want to stagger enemies every hit, the scythe is a really good choice for stunlocking NPC characters as long as you have the stamina for it; they literally cannot roll out of the combo fast enough. Also unironically try a shield, you would be surprised at how many long combos can be made more manageable in the DLC (and very, very useful if you are up against the final boss). Brass shield or the Black Greatshield in particular.
I tried Rellana solo a few times, then I just said to hell with it and gables her with Leda + Mimic Tear. If Fromsoft isn't going to respect my intelligence by lazily recycling a boss fight from DS3, and lazily recycling imagery, name, and thematic stuff from the base game, then their dumbass boss isn't worthy of my respect for sure. Btw a whole of people have noticed that bosses in this dlc will laser focus on you and almost ignore your summons a lot of the time. Pretty sure they purposely made it like that. Btw I'm just like you re: my character and helmets. I spent so much time making my character look good that there's no way I'm wearing a helmet the whole time. Actually our characters have almost the same hair and complexion, they could be siblings 😂

No one I've watched playing this game seems like they want to be playing it and I don't want to play it either because I'd had enough by the end of the main game. I really feel like unless they had come with something really mind-blowing, more of the same is just monotonous.
I hope you try some of the new dlc weapons as you keep playing, alot of cool options. Might get boring spaming RoB or twinblade for 40 hours.
