I got delivery of mine last Monday (07/15/2024). At first it didn't want to drop. I told myself I was going to break it in naturally without adding oil to the pivot or adjusting the pivot screw. A couple of days later it still didn't want to drop so I decided to remove the pivot, washers and blade and clean and lube them and put them back together. Action is like a dream now. I did the same to my 551-S30V and my Redoubt. The 551 has the best action among the three but they're all great fidget toys. Initially, I was reluctant to take those two apart because I stripped a screw of my 940-2 but I was so disappointed with the action of my Redoubt so I went for it. Now all three are drop-shut with no blade play or lock rock. Eventually, I also did the same thing with my 556 and my 940BK-2004. All that remains is my 945.
Just bought one again with the drop point. I bought one years back when they were still 154cm and gave it to a friend. I just had to get another one. Just bought it today actually. Such a classic but still a beast. I have much much more expensive knives but this grip & my 940 lives in my pocket.
I had this exact knife back in the day when they first came out but I gave it away to a friend. I just bought it again today but it’s s30v. Not sure if it’s an easy to resharpen steel.

S30v is no problem to sharpen. Id recommend the worksharp precision sharpener to get sharp edges easily.
I had this in the mini. Great knife but it got stolen. I'm trying to decide if I should replace it
If it was my money, I'd go mini Osborne. I love the grip, but it's much more basic vs what you get with the 940 series.
