I bought a 940 in s30v. I'm constantly cutting twine, heavy plastic, feed bags, wrapped hay/grasses, Bushcraft stuff. I sharpen on a Japanese water stone 400 grit. It is such a easy blade steel to sharpen. Ive got to get a large griptillian like that.

Can you compare this knife to a Manix 2? The Magna cut salt sprint run manix 2 lightweight, currently on GP knives is the one I am considering.

I usually touch my blades up about every 2 weeks, unless I do more work then usual with them,then I'll touch it up as soon as I'm done using it.
