it's very true, you're paying for the "butterfly tax" which is why my benchmade collection is very quite conservative. whereas compared to many of the new chinese companies which are the opposite. buy a ganzo, cjrb, or qsp and you know you're underpaying for a lot of knife! i finally picked up a griptilian because smkw had a sale on the yellow one (unpopular color) for $81 USD. haven't opened it yet, maybe it'll be my next unboxing video, now that Mariana and i aren't arguing (as much) anymore
It will be many summers before I get a Benchmade again. Unless someones giving me one. Remember, Christmas is only 3 lockdowns away. 😄Miss my 830 Eclipse though. Youre missing the 280 grit stone. Unless youre changing profile, its 280 grit upwards 😉. I sharpen.. A LOT. Mostly every 5-6 weeks we're unpacking a 40' hq container full of cardboard boxes, cutting straps, prying packing staples and then cutting up said boxes for recycling. My Kershaw used go get restropped on the side of the container!

@@STUFFWEDO well now you know where to send that Benchmade 😎 when you next blunt it/disown it. Depending on where you place the blade in the clamp, so distance from knife edge to clamp edge, influences your angle. On folders general a 20 results in a 17deg. Look forward to the vids. Keep it up👍🏼

I’m not Benchmade person myself cause only have the Mini Loco. But do aftermarket scales exist for your knife over in SA? And I have to ask, you have owls and turtles in your yard? What other kind of animals, random lions? 😂 I used to listen to a podcast where one of them lived in SA. And the other guys used to ask him if lions other wild animals were all around him and he said had to fight lions off once a month. And he played along with it so well he seemed serious. 😂
The owls are wild and live in a big tree in front of the house. No we live in the burbs the last 5 years. And no lions unfortunately but I could have one of my kids dress up like one and then stage an attack.
