I think it's important to tell the difference between the addons that Blender comes with pre-installed and the external ones. I've never had performance issues with Blender's built-in addons, but I've had some hiccups with external ones. I believe it's not just about how many addons you have installed, but rather their compatibility with the Blender version. I'd suggest always checking the compatibility of the addons you're about to install. Sometimes you can install addons from other Blender versions, and they work just fine, but other times Blender crashes out of the blue. When that happens, I just deactivate the addon and move on. I guess it's a bit of trial and error, haha. Anyway, thanks for the support! 😎
