Deadpool regenerated his hand just to give a middle finger to Wolverine is perfectly in-character. A nice bookend reference to cutting his hand to pull out the same finger on Colossus.
@@ABADOOLAH1 idk why people set up these delusional goals without some actual realization of what it actually takes. and most anime comes from source material which is usually manga. I doubt he's a mangaka or has the budget even to do it for fun. if the goal is money it takes way more.
This was fantastic to watch. The editing and style of this video was really well crafted and the final result in the animation turned out incredible! Looking forward to more!
When you said you didn't like the animation at the start of the video, my jaw actually dropped. I understand how it can be a love/hate relationship with projects like this but it came out amazing!
looks amazing, good job, please i know it would take ages but if you get the chance, PLEASE make your own actual anime, wether deadpool, something else or custom, PLEASE IT IS AMAZING I WOULD WATCH IT 1000x OVER

Absolutely amazing. Never would have picked out these were actually 3D models. You really did a fantastic job overlapping the 2D elements that really makes it feel hand drawn. 👏👏
I watched every live stream to this moment and holy shit I did not expect it to be this good 😮and you hate it!? How it’s amazing! Congratulations on finishing 🥳
What the heck, this is so freaking good, if there were voice over, this could be entire series, but yeah it takes wayyy too long to create so hats off buddy, Amazing Work!!

This was a great breakdown of how you went about it. Thank you for sharing. Just one note: we keep calling "scenes" to "shots". A scene is a collection of shots set at one location in continuous time. So your whole animation is a scene, and you made several shots for that scene.
I know the feeling. Working on a project for so long, knowing there must be a better way to do things, but you don't discover them until it's kinda too late. Now you've got an amazing end result, but you hate how much of a mess it was to make. It helped me though, knowing that this knowledge would come in handy on future projects.
The reality no matter what in animation, without the passion and love in every frame your project wont "feel" right to the end consumer. Great work, and workflow adaption to get to your project. Any multiple scene more hand crafted projects does take months to be good.
i think ur so underrated man.. your work is mindblowing , even your tutorials are really well edited with story telling.. enjoying and learning so much from you.
This goes hard, I am interested in making my own animation studio learning from talented youtubers like you guys and this is really inspiring the inner child and creative artist within me, thank you for your time and creativity and letting many of us watch man, this is truly inspiring!
I love how the personality and the actual substance of the characters are illustrated by the animation, however, the shading and the background is incredibly easy to streamline and you are making a whole lot more work for yourself, I suggest not only using the grease pencil but also the freestyle function, while additionally making use of reference from anime in the nineties and using layers and camera motion to illustrate the same effects. Your videos have helped me a lot to achieve this in my own efforts however you’re overcomplicating it by an incredibly wide margin. If you’re interested in learning more I could write a further description of my process.
Creating anime in Blender is something I have been wondering about. Thank you for exploring that idea for me. I would love to create these with more time.
Imagine a shot where Deadpool pull out a huge middle finger and he just start shooting thru his hand with his gun, making it like a DEADLY MIDDLE FINGER man that's why he's my favorite character in the comic book industry... Amazing video btw ! I want to use Blender so bad but holy moly it looks very hard to use. I always wanted to do anime animation in 3D, it's such a cool thing. Thanks Guilty Gear and Spider-Man Into the Spiderverse for existing and letting me know about this amazing style !!
As someone who also wants to created 3D anime and make it close to 2d as possible this is pretty impressive! the detail and outlines on the characters are so well done and realistic to the point it reminds me of DC/THE MARVEL(ofc)
Thats alot of work not only to make animation but also editing and explaining step by step of your work not to mention it turns out excellent! Respect!
So cool! Here are some workflow concepts you could explore: - Working more on postprocessing such as, seperating parts of the scene into different passes where you could potentially warp to elements to give more of that anime exaggeration. Think of it like 2d rigging and rubberhose like work. - Adding subtle layers of ai influenced postprocessing. Workflows in tools like ComfyUI could really help get the final look too. - Try adding some procedural shaders / geometry nodes that include more complexity into the shader management. Like accounting Overall I think that your workflow is sick and gives me Spiderverse quality feel at points! But there is so much more you could be doing in the postprocessing side that needs to be planned from the beginning which could eventually save a lot of time and create an even better anime look. Just some friendly concepts I explored based on your problem statements in this video.
in blender there is a way to transfer your current shot into photoshop/krita/clip/whatever painting program you want here. when you use a toon skin you can then paint the shadows you want in and project it onto the skin and in some advanced toon skins let you animate them.
The animation turned out pretty solid, I really liked some of the forced perspective shots with the dynamic poses. Deadpool tumbling after the first hit felt a little too stiff and Wolverine's running at 12:16 felt a little too wide like he was running bow legged, albeit not that extreme. That's my overly critical analysis of the animation but overall it was awesome and the 2D effect with the 3D models was really good. Hope to see more awesome animations from you in the future!
Holy moly, I can't even fathom how much work you put into this project, especially in combination with the amazing video. Thank you for this, can't wait to see more!
