Absolutely a mic drop statement, timeless, simple, profound yet delicate.

How cool is that! Yes, indeed: we are al connected. The ripples in the pond, even if faintly, reach all parts of the pond. Feeling connected and a part of a whole is so pleasing to the soul. Thanks for sharing!

Yes all share in this most peculiar thing we call reality - the universe and all that is in it. I’m not religious, but the world around me never ceases to amaze and intrigue me in all its forms. Which is why I watch science and boat building channels on YT. Now, back to building my boat…

I know it may sound cliche or loopy to some, but I feel the same way when I'm restoring an old home, that connection, and I remember being a young man and thinking to myself that I must be an old soul being attacted to the memories of my ancestors, or perhaps of me in a former life, whatever the reason, it is palpable, you can feel it when you are doing it, and it is not at all a bad or malevolent feeling, you just feel connected with and part of the past while hurting into the future, and saving something of value for generatons to come. But I understand exactly how they feel.

I had a mate in NZ who knew an old chap from 1800’s. He learnt all the skills of woodworking and got his tools when he died. I saw my mate hand adze a piece of old Kauri timber that he got from the Auckland wharves when they were refurbished. I was amazed that the beautiful timber heart Kauri shone and was perfectly smooth. He made tables. He hand turned using a bungee strap and a wood lathe no Power just a string to the floor and a pedal tied to the string that gave a back and forth movement to make the chairs. Only a slight sanding required. He had years of work people were lining up to buy his stuff.

The first time I saw it was on a stormy night and we were on a search and rescue…. In a little skiff…. it brought a calming effect to me, it’s magical.

There's nothing elastic about time. It keeps moving steadily and relentlessly forward . You might dodge every other peril on earth, but you can't escape time - at least not yet.

It's more about the journey and less about the destination... I think the folks that restore the boats probably understand that more than us viewers sometimes?

I enjoy the history part as much of the Skill craftsmanship into the Western flyer. But some reason i look at passed videos from my side. Seems like many of them are missing or TH-cam erased some of your passed videos.

I had some technical difficulty with a few recent videos. I pulled them off TH-cam to re-editing them. Thanks for Watching.

The last video didn’t have comments so I went back to the last build video to let you know how important and special these videos are…. People need to hear these stories, a build is just a build… this shows us WHY the build…. Just awesome

This is a revelation often brought on by hard drug use and rarely discovered by those who do not partake !
Sometimes the most important lessons are hidden from those who are afraid to experiment !

Darwin was a person that was ignorant enough to base a landmark modern day scientific theory upon the flora and fauna of a tiny clump of islands. Jesus is the second most powerful person in the universe that created, amongst other things, bioluminescence at the behest of his father for our enjoyment. Not quite "one thing is all things" really. There is the thought or the idea, a determination, a plan, the execution and the result. All equally important but only the created thing remains after the energy has been expended.

    • @klaasvanmanen8214

Maybe you should read 'On the origin of species' yourself, and discover that saying "Darwin was a person that was ignorant enough to base a landmark modern day scientific theory upon the flora and fauna of a tiny clump of islands" only shows that you have never actually made any study of the subject. Most of the first half of the book is about variation under domestication, showing that Darwin's ideas were based on much broader observation than just "the flora and fauna of a tiny clump of islands". Please do not take for granted what people (especially religious ones) tell you about Darwin's work but better do some reading yourself.
