NEVER EVER pump movement speed!!! It only affects their walking speed, not the sprinting! Stamina doesn't need to go up as well because they regenerate it really really quick. And remember: the 2nd attack (bear slap) does more damage than the bite ;)

almost 200 hours in ark across 3 saves and... I have never even had a dire bear. I'm assuming the cubs will be just the cutest!

If you have a full Ghillie armor set on, you won't agro the bees when harvesting honey
Most of the time. Even sometimes with ghille and bug repellant they still aggro. Maybe 1/5 of the time in my experience. Maybe less.
Phlinger can you make a Wind Turbine guide one day. I was messing around with Ragnarok and it seemed that few places I can get it to always work. But I haven't extensively tested it out. There aren't really any good guides or resources especially to figure out these locations on Ragnarok. Like I was testing out the lighthouse on NE highlands and at a certain height I got it to always work and then I went higher and the it wouldn't really work there. Scorched Earth on the other hand seems much clearer as to where you are going to get them to work 100% of the time.

theris are fine and all but their wood gathering is way too large to not be reduced so a castoroides is better for it its organic polymer harvesting and sap can be outclassed by a moschops pretty fucking easily (also ascendant/mastercraft sword is better than a therizino at organic polymer) the dire bear is great for fiber and you dont need to be level 69 to tame it even if you wanted to use tranq darts youd still be lower than when you can get a therizinosaur and theris are slow compared to bears like extremely slow

hey Phlinger, something to 'FOR SCIENCE!!!': build a narrower taming trap with door frames. see if you can place a gas trap through the door frames so that the wire goes through the inner area of the trap. and see if it activates on a dino (or bear) that is moving around inside the trap :)
that way you don't strictly need a flying mount to go over the wires, and you probably don't need to worry as much about other stuff wasting your traps :)
Built this raft last night only to realize it’s main flaw AFTER the bear was tamed inside. There’s no gate to get it out, after a quick fix works out amazingly

The best way to get a bear (and just about anything else) is to level up a sarco or an anklyosaur and then unload your tranq darts or arrows from it's back.

Edit: I usually go for 130 and over, I only go for lower than that if I absolutely can’t find any high lvls
There is another basics you might want to cover. You're doing the tames, but what about a receipts basics or a kibble basics?

i just tamed a level 65 dire bear in my ark world and all it took was 15 tranq darts and about 20 tranq arrows and i didn't even need any narcotics (i tamed it with prime meat btw) and when it tamed it was level 90
my first playthrough my first pteranodon i named constantine died in the red woods and a dire bear was the next thing i tamed. No mistake

U cud do it but since Megatherium and Rexes are a thing I wudn't recommend it!

Funny enough, took a bear into the Overseer fight, and despite losing 5 Rexes during it, guess who was still standing at the end? Silly ol' bear just looking for honey in space...

I dont struggle taming 100+ dire bears with with the ol run for you're life and shoot tactic.. honestly that's my tactic for all tames.

I was killing whatever was in the area and saw a titanboa fighting a pteronadon. I killed the boa but saw the pteronadon was knocked out from the boa. I tamed it. Maybe they changed it?

a really cheap trap if you have some metal and cementing paste, use 3 metal bill boards in a square, leave one spot open once the bear runs into the bear trap in the center of the trap to trap it, it cant break metal so you can just tranq it. put some spikes around it tho dont be like me,

Welp I used nothin but tranq arrow - did not realize to use other techniques almost died 4 times but it worked out

I have found the Hazard Suit works like a Bee Tamer's Suit on my owned hive to collect honey. I haven't tried it on wild hives as of yet.

In my opinion bears are way better than thylas bro.. Thylas may look cooler but bear is faster, more dps with right click, more weight, gather berries and thatch.. Idk why people dont tame bear to get an all in mount 🖤

I’m on ark mobile and I used the raft technique and I couldn’t get to the part where they spawn in the redwoods because my raft couldn’t get though the windy river because there where so many rocks and couldn’t get out :( -_-
