Here's a way you can get them in the trap a little easier - Take an herbivore small enough to pick up on an argy, like a megaloceros, and put it in the taming pen. This might get the yuty to aftack it if it's close enough to the trap. Hope this helps.
Hey Phlinger if you want an alternative to luring rexes, yutys, allos etc into taming pens one tactic is using a high level baryonyx with increased hp and shoot tranq darts/arrows from your mount since baryonyx’s have that feature where you can do that. If there are enough wild herbivores around they’re less likely to aggro on you and even when they do you can take the damage and usually escape them enough to lose aggro. Plus when they run off you can easily catch them. I tamed 2 lvl 100 rexes with this strategy. I don’t recommend it for the Giga though because as you know they are much faster and hit much harder than rexes, it could possibly work but you’ve gotta be extremely versatile and maintain your distance from them and be ready to make a run for it at any moment
For trapping Yutyranno's, I use a unique taming pen made up of stone dino gate ways, stone fence foundations, and stone doorways which works pretty effectively and allows me to trap them inside and close the door and no have to worry about the fear roar. Then I just tranq them and tame. These guys are the best to take to boss fights.
I tamed a couple low levels using large bear traps, I need Kibble, Took 3 back, Mate The 2 F with the Males and Immediately got 1 set of triplets and a set of twins, Now I'm running around doing the Care Stuff on 5 different Babies

I was just wondering why no one talks about the Harpoon gun & net ammo. You can immobilize most creatures with this combo. It doesn't last long, but it gets you a few shots in with the Longneck & shock darts before it gets up. Sometimes you can do a full KO before your target gets up. It saves a lot of time and resources as opposed to making a trap. Or you can just build a quick trap around the immobilized creature. It works well on flyers too. They don't receive damage in the fall; you just need to be sure you're in a safe enough zone where you can land and protect or clear the area before you net the resting flyer. I really loved this video, btw. I wasn't aware of exactly what the Yuty fear/roar does.
I just hopped on my 200 argent and lured it off a cliff got rid of the carnos and shot ~30 tranq darts at it while it was "trying" to get me but it was stuck

Lol went out exploring the map, left with 4 carnos came back with a Yut, 3 argies, 1 Ovid. Tamed the yut by shooting him from the top of a mountain, and then went after it on foot since when he ran I couldn’t get him
Current TO TAME list: dire bear, baryonyx, thyla, rex, allo, yuti. Wasted too much time getting random resource dinos. Only fighters I have are my dimorph desthcloud "Entourage" and my therizinos. I have some argys leveled as fighters too I guess. I have some lvl 200ish dilos and raptors too but they wander the plateau I fenced off and keep the wild spawns under control. Theriz under lvl 100 need not apply. Yuti looks like an allo with a big butt wearing a suit made of shag carpet. Not that I would say that to its face or anything.
hi plunger. I just tamed 2 of these and got a 100% imprinted one with a little under 16.5k health and 900% melee at lvl 1. Is this high enough for the boss fights or do I need to raise it?
I went into the frozen area with a frog snd got roared at by a yut and it made me unable to control my frog. It was the scariest few seconds of my game play lol

Do a note run easy u can get to 70 on the island after like an hour then get a megetherium get a 4 times note and run the swamp cave in the red woods if the island and do that a few times until u get to a level 100
I hate trying to tame these. Took me 6 days, real life days, about 2 hours per day, to find a level 130 or higher, I knocked it out, it drowned. Its head, only the head, was under water. I still can't find another high level one.
Today I was fighting the gamma megapicthis with my yuty and my rex army and yuty killed the megapicthis so I got a both boss and yuty dermis and I placed the dermis and make it look like there fighting i thought my Rexes would win
lol i was playing on valguero and made a house under a cliff in the tundra area and they just fell of a cliff into a hole between my wall and the cliff and they got trapped..so when i saw it happen, i just killed everything around it and knocked it out... :D not so hard lol.. :D
I got really lucky and found one in the water with floating ice that I could jump on but not the Yuty, which made it very slow and easy to tame. I knocked it out with tranq arrows and my bare fists
I prefer the basics to be Straight from me, if they were scripted, they would sound like I was reading a wiki, and I avoid wiki's like the plague. I prefer personal experience over those any day.

pro-tip! procoptodon (kangaroo) takes 2 or 3 fears, mounted weapons availible, and easy to jump up a cliff and get the yuty stuck.

"Easy to set up" building entire house... Just use 4 behemot gates and pull it in than fly out, grapple on top and tranq it. Thats it.
If you still read these, what do you think about a high health Daedon providing passive healing on the side lines?

Only do 18 not 19 of one animal. 1 should be yuty but the other should be a daedon with high food stat. It will heal based on that stat.

Low lvls, craft narcotics... mid lvls, craft rafts... above that, go kill stuff (especially alphas)
If u lazy u can cryo you dinos and just leave them there. Do whatever u have to do. Check after 2 days. 40 lvls just like that lol
