I absolutely love how whoever did this didn't do it so blandly. There is always showboating and mixups in how they go about things, fun little tidbits here and there that actually, surprisingly, made the whole thing fun to watch.
If it was an any% TAS then there wouldnt be as much foolery during the run. But because its a 100% run they have way more resources than needed
They nicknamed those tricks swag strat, it was gr8 to watch
TASing can get a little dull at points. Little bits of whimsy like that make it much more enjoyable to create as well as to watch.
My personal favorite such moment is when the TAS showed off just how long it takes to wait for the bomb to go off for the one required bomb jump the first time through sector 2.

ghor200: a TAS (Tool Assisted Speed run) is a run where the player uses tools such as input recording, save states and artificial input to create a series of inputs representing key presses that artificially recreates what would be the perfect run were human hands and minds able to react as quick enough. Its not a cheat in the sense that it adds functionality to the game but it is a cheat since most people can't do the tricks and glitches, especially all in a single segment without mistakes. These are intended for funsies and should in no way be compared to live speed runs except maybe as a showcase for skips, glitches, and techniques.

This is the GBA, not the SNES. The GBA could scale Sprites in Hardware, and could even do 3D. It looks nice, but there is nothing technically impressive about it.

Could you imagine having to work in the boiler room in sector 3 prior to the whole X infestation? You would still need to go through lava and shit to reach it.
yeah certain portions of the facility were already unsafe workplaces even before the SA-X arrived. Like, why would there be a research station with actual lava?
@@justinokraski3796 Because SR388 had lava, and they were replicating it. I always imagined that those areas were just habitats for creatures that live in those environments and the scientists had service tunnels or something.
I'd imagine the X and SA-X have broken a lot of stuff throughout the station and lead to certain areas being flooded, like with Serris in AQA

I like to inagine that there's an easier way to get to the boiler room, but Samus doesn't have the clearance so she just brute forces her way through.
Nice job getting two power bomb expansions before downloading them, and doing the Sector 3 skip only to still pick up Bob right after.
When you realize the SA-X’s ice beam deals 200 damage while its power bomb only deals 20, you can see they really meant it when they said Samus was weak to cold.
A missile tank in Sector 3 that is nigh impossible to skip, especially on non TAS runs.
I mean it is a game first and story second but I’m glad they came up with a good reason for that to be the case

Also because metroids are relatively resistant to power bombs? Not entirely but it takes 5 to kill them in super Metroid.
It's probably done so as the explosion at 34:10 is kinda forced damage
It’s canonically because of the SA-X using the Plasma and Ice beam in tandem. The ice beam being particularly effective against her metroid dna, and the plasma beam just being a particular fuck all high damage penetration beam.

0:55 minutes is the in-game timer at the end. computer conversations and door transitions don't count toward this time. i put the in-game time in the title because people generally assume that the time in the title is the in-game time.

Watching this gives me a whole new appreciation for Fusion. I had no idea about that secret tunnels between Sectors! Definitely didn't realise there were so many secrets as well, and the gameplay is so fluid when used to it's maximum.

When you are in the lower platform jump to the grab point and wait for when he is vulnerable and use the point blank charge beam and go either up or down, repeat until he dies or the heat death of the universe happens

Jesus... missiled the shit out of everything. Yakuza died in 15 or so seconds. Nightmare got absolutely wrecked, Ridley barely got to stand up and fly... Pretty much anything was buttfucked by 2000 missiles.
Conclusion: Like everyone, I have officially shit my pants because of this run. Biospark, you have truly earned the title for this video... The Perfect Run.

Really enjoyed watching this run. You know how to keep your runs entertaining without sacrificing efficiency. Your single wall climbs are ridiculously good, and I highly enjoyed seeing more of the early expansions. It's still a damn shame that this game can't be properly sequence broken.
