    Don't pay attention to this. I had the symptoms they describe, went to get a ct scan and everything was clear. And a few days after the scan the headaches went away. It was just my anxiety messing with my head and giving me tension headaches. My doctor even told me they were tension headaches, but told me if I just wanted to clear my mind to go on ahead with the ct scan. Stay off youtube and googling symptoms because it just makes thing worse. The best thing to do is go to the doctor.

    This is kinda dangerous to tell people? Causing unnecessary fear. It can also be a sinus headache, or even just a regular headache. Almost every headache I've ever had has had this feature, and I've also always gotten a headache from tilting my head downwards. I've had MRIs because of suspected epilepsy and my brain is very healthy.

    • @ijustrealllylikecats
      @ijustrealllylikecats 3 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      If you're suspecting epilepsy, an MRI only checks for structural abnormalities. You need an EEG to monitor the electrical activity in areas of your brain, an MRI can't see that. I have had epilepsy for nearly my whole life but MRIs came up normal. it wasn't diagnosed until the last couple of years because I hadn't had an EEG and finally I did after having a really big seizure, and they immediately found temporal lobe epilepsy.

    I've had several different kinds of headaches - tension, migraine, and sinus. I have gotten to a point where I recognize if the pain is external, like with a tension headache that will hopefully respond to stretching and massaging any sore muscles in the trapezoid area, and internal, like with a migraine - which does indeed feel worse if you bend over and then try to come back up again. Sinus headaches can also feel worse when you do that test, but you can generally tell because you feel so stuffy, as if someone has been punching you in the face, and if you are familiar with where the sinuses are in a human being, you don't need a poster to show you where they are because you can tell they are full. With all of these it is still worth it to try some of the tension headache relieving methods to see if they help, because you still might have something that wants to be loosened up, but you have to go by what feels tolerable. An actual brain tumor could cause other symptoms, such as loss of balance or personality changes.

  • @jaythedjentleman2571
    @jaythedjentleman2571 3 ปีที่แล้ว +37

    This was very unfortunate. I think you freaked people out more than you guys actually helped. The reason a headache will increase when bending is because of the blood rushing to the head in response to the pain. Tumors, cancer, aneurysms, whatever have more strange and noticeable symptoms. Such as pupils that are dilated and don’t react to light, or one pupil being bigger than the other, feeling or being sick, extreme sensitivity to light, weakness or numbness in one side of the body, dropping eyelid or face, the pain is “the worst of your life” and/or difficulty seeing or speaking. Typically if it’s anything to worry about you’ll have more than one of those symptoms, so if it’s just a nasty headache without any associated symptoms, it’s probably nothing to be concerned about.

    I had tension headache for months. First step was to hold hands together behind your back, it opens up blood vessels to brain, such that you get pins and needles in hands. Then massage the tendons up the back of neck. I think main cause is bad bed posture. I now sleep on a couch which keeps my back upright relative to neck. My head aches went away.

    One way to tell if it’s serious is if you’re able to sleep at night. If your head or temporal pain goes away at night, it’s a good chance it’s not cancerous. If it were, time of day wouldn’t matter. It maybe a pinched nerve, inflammation in the back and neck, or severe dry eyes. My temples began throbbing. I had a chiropractor that retired. I haven’t been to another one for a few months (THAT WILL CHANGE). During nights in the bed, my head was fine! I felt a little tingling in my feet. If you feel tingling sensations in your hands…the bottom of your feet or a pressure like a band around your forehead and eyes, that might be back inflammation. My back has a pinched nerve that acts a fool when I don’t get a massage or heat therapy. I got to find another good chiropractor. Don’t underestimate your back!

    I think there is some accuracy in this claim. I was diagnosed with pseudo tumor cerebri (false brain tumor) in January. When it is at its worst,I have a lot of pressure in my head when I lean forward. During migraines my pain increases when I lean forward, but it’s painful vs pressure. I’ve also learned to distinguish the pain in Sinus headaches too.

    Just so people don’t freak out. I went to the hospital and it was suspected I had meningitis. When I said I could put my chin to my chest, but the pain was worse, the specialist goes “eh, while we do use that method, with many types of headaches tension or pain will increase when the head is tilted forward”. So it’s definitely a common thing for many types of harmless headaches, for pain and tension to worsen when the head is tilted forward. Especially sinus related headaches, apparently.

    What do you do if you can’t even touch your head and neck to massage it due to pain.
    No doctor will help me and told me to just deal with it, so I paid to see a chiropractor and it was incredibly painful. The pain made me instantly want to throw up my insides and I felt like I went into shocked could feel the colour come out of my face.
