I easily prefer slash’s feel and emotional playing over bucketheads mindless shredding that he loves to do. But I understand some don’t agree so to each their own.
Slash gets the credit for his original riffs and licks. Buckethead plays them so effortlessly clean and still conveys the original emotion. Thanks for this.❤

I disagree. Buckethead is an excellent guitarist, arguably better than Slash, but he sounds like buckethead. Slash is a bit sloppy live, but has a touch that is totally unique.
Buckethead is undoubtly virtuose guitarist which is able to play any guitar part. But he is even more. Innovative composer who created hundreds of marvellous compositions in his pikes which continuously make my life better since I uncovered them and listening to them every day every time. I first heard of and saw Buckethead live as a guest member of Primus at Ozzfest 1999 ! That was a fun show! 🤟🏻 most of us had no idea who we were watching ( I think Les Claypool introduced him on stage !😊) at the time but we couldn’t believe our ears ! We were definitely completely blown away! 😮 he was amazing as F’k on a guitar even way back then ! 🪣🎸👑🤟🏻
As much as I love Buckethead's solo stuff, I gotta admit it's awesome seeing him playing live in a group with other musicians. I've seen him live over 50 times going back to 1990 , and all my favorite shows were with groups like the Deli Creeps, Giant Robot, Praxis etc.

You probably heard Ozzy tell that story I suppose lol. Something like Ozzy says 'You only have to play as Brian Carroll instead of Buckethead and you're the guitarist of the most recognisable metal band in history'. Buckethead to Ozzy 'I don't give a fuck I'm wearing my KFC box' lol. It's hilarious and just fucking awesome all at once 🤣🤣🤣🤣. Also, the irony of Ozzy Osbourne telling someone they can't be in the band because of how they look is a comedy skit in itself given how he himself looks and talks 🤣🤣🤣🤣 All jokes aside though Ozzy was probably right. If the bucket looked even half normal he is probably regarded as one of the greatest in the mainstream like Slash etc etc but people don't even give him a chance.
I think is silly to compare here what’s done with Buckethead to Slash. Two very different guitarists. What I can say is that Buckethead honors and nods to all of the Slash memorable signatures and did his own thing with it. Many people including fans will love to hate the guy lol and that makes no sense. I can say the same thing when Steve Morse joined Kansas and then Deep Purple. They loved to hate him in the beginning than grew to love him. The replacements always get a raw deal. I love what Buckethead did here what an amazing Player.

Slash grates the strings to make money, Buckethead caress the strings with impeccable dexterity to make deep emotions and feelings flow to the audience.

Any Guitarist that refuses to take a KFC box off their head so they can play in black sabbath is the coolest and greatest guitarist ever in my opinion. You probably heard Ozzy tell that story I suppose lol. Something like Ozzy says 'You only have to play as Brian Carroll instead of Buckethead and you're the guitarist of the most recognisable metal band in history'. Buckethead to Ozzy 'I don't give a fuck I'm wearing my KFC box' lol. It's hilarious and just fucking awesome all at once 🤣🤣🤣🤣.
Also, the irony of Ozzy Osbourne telling someone they can't be in the band because of how they look is a comedy skit in itself given how he himself looks and talks 🤣🤣🤣🤣
All jokes aside though Ozzy was probably right. If the bucket looked even half normal he is probably regarded as one of the greatest in the mainstream like Slash etc etc but people don't even give him a chance.

I think is silly to compare here what’s done with Buckethead to Slash. Two very different guitarists. What I can say is that Buckethead honors and nods to all of the Slash memorable signatures and did his own thing with it. Many people including fans will love to hate the guy lol and that makes no sense. I can say the same thing when Steve Morse joined Kansas and then Deep Purple. They loved to hate him in the beginning than grew to love him. The replacements always get a raw deal. I love what Buckethead did here what an amazing Player.
