Maybe on a technical level, but Bucket has been writing music for decades now, and has yet to come close to producing a single song as successful as most of Slash's material. This isn't a knock against Bucket. I'm a fan. But he's more of a technical and avant-garde guitarist, and comparing him to Slash is like comparing Frank Zappa to Eric Clapton or something. It's just a whole different mindset and approach to the music. Buckethead is very talented at guitar and could probably play circles around Slash in terms of scales and obscure jazz chords, but Slash has such a signature, unmistakable sound and identity that unfortunately Bucket just doesn't have. And Bucket produces a lot of wandering jam tracks (which I dig as background music) but he doesn't have a single riff that the general public would recognize in the same way that Slash does. You can get into the weeds on whether mainstream success equals quality and vice versa, but ultimately Buckethead will not go down in history books the way Slash has. That being said I love the guy and really admire his skill. I think the solo for "There Was a Time" is one of the best of all-time. But people get so hung up on "Slash doesn't know theory!" and it's like yeah, but did Bucket write a song half as memorable as Welcome to the Jungle or Sweet Child? It's just not a comparison imo.

El argentino que fue a ver a los "viejos Guns", ni se debe de acordar de Buckethead, la gran mayoría seguramente ni lo conoce (como mucho un 5% de los que fueron lo conocen).
