Bioshock is amazing, it is so fun to relive it through your gameplay. Easy mode is hilarious, but I'm glad you got the mode fixed. I've had similar issues with the game switching my settings.

Don't stress John, no one actually believes you consciously decided to play a 17 year old ps2 game on easy. You could tell the easiness of it was starting to negatively effect your enjoyment of the game tho so glad you figured it out:)
I know it’s the popular opinion, but I really do genuinely love Fort Frolic and Sander Cohen. I’m sad there aren’t any grand set pieces or stand out characters like them in Bioshock 2… however Bioshock 2 makes up for it by having far superior gameplay Edit: I think Sander’s appeal is that he is so eccentric and unhinged. He reminds me a lot actually of the director character from Manhunt 1, the one that chatters in your ear the whole time. Some pompous guy who thinks he’s making something special with no self awareness. Very much a “love to hate” scenario. Sure the “unhinged, evil artist” character is a bit over done, but Sander is still very dear to me regardless

Personally I've always like Cohen as a character but as a person I would 100% hate him. His section of the game is always the most fascinating, but he's the tired trope of "Narcisstic Artist" to a fucking T.
John: why do people even like Sander Cohen so much?? me: *Theater kids.* (Sander Cohen is entertaining and Fort Frolic has some cool moments like the ballet attackers, but I also like Arcadia more because the environment is so cool. BioShock has some very cool settings/ideas with its premise of the underwater city bit.)
I had a hell of a time when I put to hard mode on this game. I kept blasting the rosies and bouncers with frag rounds, shotgun and incendiary bolts. The crossbow reload is so slow but it gives alot of damage
So if you have the security camera hacked in the "waiting for the lazarus vector" gauntlet and have natural camouflage on you can just wait for the bots to clear everyone out, it's kinda a broken tonic imo
So the first miniboss said Trans rights, and the final miniboss is a zany gay villain. Wow how unique and progressive of them. Now I remember why I forgot everything about those characters. (Also docking points from the doctor for thinking picasso was cool. How embarrassing for him.) ANYWAY how about those Elite Big Daddy battles? Those were wild. Good stuff.
Why does the machine you buy ammo from sound like jojo siwa 😂…. I’m loving this playthrough! Would you ever consider playing the remastered og tomb raider games?
Man, I know it's been years since I played, but I apparently blocked out Cohen. One of my least favorite sections of the game. It seems so fetch quest to me, and he can get down right annoying sometimes. But, hey: to each their own. I honestly don't care what difficulty you use as long as you are enjoying yourself.

Revisiting Rapture has been so much fun! I love the Sander Cohen area so much because those creepy rabbit masks remind me of Donnie Darko
I had never noticed the bioshock influence in Outlast either, Cohen even sounds a bit like Gluskin. For a minute I even thought they had the same VA.
It also feels like We Happy Few took big inspiration from BioShock in turn.
