After wearing these a handful of times, This is a great speed boot(most comfortable speed boot in my opinion), feels really really light weight on feet and awesome for dribbling and sprinting, changing direction etc. The biggest flaw of this boot was no dampening in the touch when you receive powerful balls and the shooting experience, I felt that I didn't have enough clean striking surface area to strike the ball with absolute confidence in games. Even with the similar amount of striking area on the Mizuno Morelia DNA's I have much more confidence on striking the ball as when the more thicker kangaroo leather upper slightly bends inwards when in contact with the ball it creates a larger and cushier striking surface area.

Great review Noah. I have just bought a pair of these in the sales and was unsure on the fit as my feet are on the wider side (Vapor’s do not fit). Out the box they definitely accommodate my foot shape which is awesome so looking forward to testing them in training this week - wouldn’t have considered these without having followed the channel for a long time now. Great boots to be honest, so lightweight and extremely comfortable. Took a while for the synthetic upper to mould to my foot - I’d say roughly 4-5 hours. Lockdown is very good, I have a wider heel area which prevents them for being perfect but still well worth the money in my opinion.
Touch and feel is as Noah described and it definitely accommodates my wider than average feet which I was concerned about.

hi man great review. only thing I think you should include in your reviews more is the kicking sensation or shooting experience because maybe its just me but i find that different boots have significant feeling when striking the ball and it kind of is factor when choosing a boot for me.

It’s a great boot, I do wish I would have gone a half size down. There is a little foot cramping still but in my opinion, well worth it. Thanks for your awesome reviews man, always on point!!!

Hi Noah, I love your videos particularly that one month reviews are very useful and has been a unique trademark of your channel. You should start to patent it hahaha. I also like that ending soundtrack. I reckon that I have a similar wide midfoot and toe area like you do. Given what you had to sadly do to your Mizuno Alpha, do you then recommend me to go true to size for this Alpha model, so that it probably will offer some room for the toe area?
Working on the patent 😎 I wouldn't recommend going up a size just to fit in the width of the boot. Look for the best size in the toe are FIRST, then you can sort out if the boots are actually wide enough for your foot
Man, I fall right between 2E and 3E in foot width for my size, so I'm definitely hesitant to get these. But what a boot. While I love their leather stuff, it's so great to see Mizuno being able to walk the walk in performance aspects without sacrificing their trademark comfort and durability.

Hey Noah I just got the Alpha in Ag, and while I don't know if it affects the fit in comparison to the Fg version I did go true to size. while it did have a smidge of extra length, I did find the lateral part of the toe box to be a smidge small. It didn't make it uncomfortable but I do have some spillage with my pinky toe and the toe next to it.
To wrap up my long-winded question, is there any chance you'll give these boots another chance, but in a true-to-size model?
Maybe mate, but I doubt it! We’ll see if I can get some under retail, otherwise it’s not worth it for me. I also have a certain way I like my boots and am uninterested in wearing boots that are too long just to the length fits 🤝
Hi. Actually u make one of the best reviews on youtube, so keep it up! I would like to use these on AG with some changes. If its possible i want to cut a bit shorter the studs. Do you think that they are made (the studs) full y of plastic or if i cut in than there will be empty spaces in them. Thx.

Really nice review🔥. I noticed you mentioned that you can play with these on AG. If you play a lot on AG do you think they will start to break just after a couple months, or do you think they can handle it for the same amount of time as if you played on FG?
Thanks mate! As a general rule of thumb, NO boot will last on AG as long as it would on FG. AG just beats the hell out of boots in general 😅

I don’t mate, but they feel tighter than other boots because of the synthetic nature of the upper!
love this series! I would say though, I don't think these replaced the Rebula Cup. Instead, I think that this is Mizuno's way to get back into the speed market with a synthetic cleat. I'm wondering what you think about the upper after wearing them for a month, does the feel and shape change much?
I would have a look on Mizuno's website 👀 and from what I've been told, the Rebula Cup is gone 😥 The shape didn't change too much - it's definitely a tough synthetic type boot!

@@soccerkicksofficial That's it! Yeah the AG soleplate looks pretty similar, although I'm sure it will still feel a bit nicer under foot than the FG
@@NoahCavanaugh yeah probably a bit less of a spring than FG but since I predominantly play on turf, the AG plate is going to be much better I'm sure
@@soccerkicksofficial Definitely! AG plates have really gotten better IMO over the last little while too - Until this year or maybe last year I wouldn't really consider it, but now I wear my GX Low AG all the damn time 😂
So I remember in terms of length, that the mercurials and copa pure .1s I’ve tried, they were both size 10s and fit me great (length wise). Would you still recommend I go half a size down for the alphas? I’ve never owned a pair of mizunos, so I’m super interested, but I just don’t really want to deal with spending a whole 300+ on a pair that may not fit 😅. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated!

I've ordered a pair in white I hope they fit! The durability section made me want to buy some. My favourite boots until last week were my (very well broken in) Predator adipowers and they lasted 12 years (and only the left boot broke!) so well worth paying for boots if they last.

@@Mike_212 Morelia 2 fits true to size, the Alpha and the Morelia Neo 3/Neo 3 Beta fit 1/2 size long so you go 1/2 size down!

How would you compere Alpha with mercurials in terms of lockdown, tightness and comfort? I know it depends on shape of your feet. For me new vapors were to tight and I have Mizuno neo 3 classics they are great but hating the lockdown and want them be more tight so thats why I am looking for new boots that can offer me what I want and unfortunately struggling to find one P.S I have tried new phantom GX with lace cover, heel area was great but I wasn't happy with lockdown and tightness of the boots, also new pumas, speedportal and even remake f50 leather
I think watching both my 1 Month Reviews would help mate 🤝 The Mizuno is even more snug than the vapor for me - but it's all subjective and based on your foot type

Hi Noah, I've been thinking of getting a thin and light boot that would fit my playing style. I don't have wide feet. The xGhsoted.1 fits just a little bit wider for me. Would you recommend the Alphas over the Superfly 8?
Also wanna add, my feet kind of tapers down from the big toe joint to the ends of my feet so it creates this void in the toe box area that bugs me a lot with a lot of boots that i wore.

Can u possibly try your best to break in the adidas speedportal .1, they have alot of potential and the lovkdown is incredible compared to the plus version. The upper will soften with time, for your foot type you'll probably need to break in the midfoot area the most. But it's a great boot nonetheless
Speedportal is really subpar compared to the other boots on the market. We’re at a point with football boots where if the boot doesn’t break in within 8 hours or less than it probably means that boot is too stiff or just doesn’t fit your foot
@@devantelewis6774 I have the speedportal as well as a ton of other boots, while the upper is stiffer than most boots, it defiantly is OK and the midfoot structure is objectively improving lockdown, for most thinner foot types it's amazing and I personally love the mifoot squeeze, which is lost in many current gen speedboats because they've become wider. However if the foot is too wide especially in the middle it may not be compatible. I may be one of the minority who actually prefer the spedportals over speedflow .1 because it suites my foot better, and it's way more locked in.

Me too mate, it was such a shame that they didn't fit too well. I don't think they make a 2E at this point unfortunately, unless it's only sold in Japan... 🤔

I’ve got a 1 Month Review where I talk all about it! 🔥
At first I was a little hesitant on potentially spending $320 MSRP+Tax and shipping for these bad boys. However I remember, back in 2016 I blew $300 on the mediocre Superfly 5. That boot was heel slippage galore. I make a lot more money now, and it’s tax refund season. And I already spend too much on football gear, way more than than an average person at least. So I guess the temptation has finally got to me.
These are right up my ally. That deep lacing system is orgasmic. Did I mention I love deep lacing systems? Because I really do like a good old fashioned central lacing system that goes deep. Can the upper hang with the old Teijin synthetic Mercurials? I Guess that remains to be seen. The Vapor 9 is still the best synthetic upper I’ve ever used. But I’ll keep an open mind. Lockdown and responsiveness are paramount for me, that reasons why I have used Mercurials for over 10 years. If I feel significant sloppiness or too much empty space, I am not going to like it. But it also has to be decently comfortable, it needs to caress not hurt my foot. I wonder if that turquoise/copper colorway is still in stock. It stunningly gorgeous.

I just got these and the first two sessions in I've gotten really bad heel blisters even with grip socks. Did u experience that too?
A bit mate, yeah! If they’re still hurting your feet after a few more sessions I would recommend going with a boot that has less structure in the heel (to help reduce pressure). Something like a ASICS DS Light X Fly 5 or Phantom GX

Hey so I got the Nike mercurials in a size 8.5 but it was a bit to tight around my toes and mid foot as I have wider feet, should I get these and if so do you think I should go 8.5 or 9.

Neither fit me well, so it's going to depend on your foot shape mate 👍🏼 If you have 2 pairs and you enjoy wearing them, then I'd say keep them! If you absolutely MUST have the Alphas, I don't see why you wouldn't be able to fit in the Alphas so long as your comfortable in the Neo 3

just got the alpha elite ag in size 275, which is slightly wider than the vapor 15 elite ag in 280.
Suprised to hear that you need to break in the alpha.
I don't fit in either really! My feet are a definitely wider than the Mercs, and they are a bit to thin for the Mizunos as well

Been watching the reviews and thinking about getting them, Neo 3 Beta's didn't fit my heel at all, sent them back. Now recieved Morelia 2 MIJ and loved them but again.. feeling a bit of pressure on the left heel due to the internal heel counter and lack of padding. These look like they would fit perfectly in the heel but I'm afraid that the upper is too plasticy. Reminds me of X Ghosted a little bit.
I'd say it's nothing like the X Ghosted, those are much more plastic feeling 👍🏼

I think one of the main negatives is the soleplate, I don't feel the underfoot feel is as good, it's completely flat and has no curve up at the end like most mercs, adidas, and pumas. Also I don't care about them being lazy using a similar stud config, but rather I don't like the studs, quite small and short, and not enough studs at the tip of the foot. Also I think the price is really not justified, u can't say these are worth 50 dollars or so more than a top end superfly or adi. And vs puma ultra which are 200 dollars but can be found for 150, these alphas are 180 dollars more expensive!
the rest of the boots seems amazing, upper seems stellar.

having worn lots of different boots and previously loving Adidas boots, I really do think these are worth the extra $50 - the build quality is so much better than Adidas & Nike - they'll last a LOT longer than any boot those two make, so actually they end up costing less in the long run because you get more out of them ... Haven't tired these yet, but the Murellio Neo 3 Beta is light years ahead of anything Adi , or Nike ( or anyone else ) has ever made - so comfortable on the feet and the touch you get with them is unreal .... I was sceptical before I tired, them , but I'd never go back to either Nike , or Adidas now
@@robjj1000 I'm sure MIJ are the best interms of build quality, however especially for a synthetic boot, the competition is tough. Puma ultra ultimate which are amazing cost less than 200 bucks, I personally bought a pair for 160, and for that I could buy a 2nd pair of boots for the price of the alpha, don't get me wrong I'm a boot nerd I love this stuff so I could buy them but in terms of value I think they're really missing the mark, if these were the same price as a superfly or adi x people would consider them
@@baraaamir7891 Don't agree at all that these miss the mark because they're synthetic and compete with other synthetic options. These are way more adjustable than other speed boots in this category due to its U-throat lacing system, the karvo insert is very similar to the carbitex used in Adidas options (only other brand that has some sort of "tech" at the forefoot is Nike with the Mercurial), very soft and forgiving upper, it's got the incredible lockdown provided by the inside lining and the structure of the boot, and then you top it off with Mizuno build quality, the durability is off the charts.
While it's definitely not the bargain option, if other brands last you a full season (they often time don't even do that depending on how much you play), while Mizuno last 1.5-2 seasons, you're basically getting your money's worth right there, all the while purchasing an objectively better boot for most people.
