Love this colorway and amazing review. Got the white ones as soon as they came out. I went a 1/2 size down just like the neos and the fit is exceptional. Only minor foot cramping in my first training session and after break in they are the greatest speed boot of all time. Might end up getting these blues ones too cause they look so good in your video.

Thank you for your honest review. By the way, if you have wide feet like me and love Mizuno, you must try Mizuno Morelia II Made In Japan. If I can have only one pair of boots for rest of my life, Morelia II MIJ would be the one. I wish I would have known it much earlier. That would have changed my life.
In details, both Morelia Neo III and Mizuno Alpha have the identical shoe last during their manufacturing processes (so they could fit similar ways), however, Morelia II Made in Japan has different shoe last from above-mentioned models. Mizuno had been manufacturing them 37 years or so, and perfecting Morelia II series over years. Balls can be stopped beautifully with these shoes like no other. So these is a possibility that you may have one better pair of shoes out there if you haven’t tried them yet. For me, Morelia II fits better than Morelia Neo III, which are considered as speed boots and traditionally these shoe lasts are made for narrower feet in Mizuno (but they are wider than Nike etc). They updated the shoe lasts in 2020 for Neo series…. I better stop here.
My take home message for younger players is that please do not afraid to try Mizuno MIJ shoes. Good fitted shoes may prevent unnecessary injuries as well.

Too soon to say as far as fit and feel once they're broken in, but definitely both excellent boots

Too soon to tell mate! They're definitely a bit stiffer straight out of the box, remains to be seen whether they are wider than the Furons.
Finally got a pair of Alpha Elites and they feel amazing! Have to replace them with a 1/2 size smaller though but that's the struggle if you can't try them on before buying. The upper is surprisingly soft even out of the box, imagine it will wear in really nicely and the lockdown... you can feel it immediately too. This to me feels even a tiny bit longer than Neo 3 Beta.

I'm waiting to see what other colorways they may bring out before I buy them. It's a definite purchase for me. That upper material sold it for me after trying on the white colorway in-store. It's a superior boot to the Phantoms, Vapors and Xs. And I've had all of them. It may be the best boots of 2023 also!

@@NoahCavanaugh I usually prefer cow/kangaroo leather boots instead of synthetic boots but the Mizuno Alpha Japan has changed my mind. Thanks for the tip with the lacing at the top for improved lockdown...so that really works huh?!

Great review, I always look forward to your reviews as a fellow wide-footer, question, if you make a one month review on the Made in Italy tiempos you'll probably answer this there, but, do you think after having them for a while that the Made in Italy tiempos are worth trying to pick up if I already have a pair of normal tiempo legend 9 elites that I absolutely love, first boot to fit my feet perfectly, do you think it's worth it to get a pair for that better leather quality, or are they similar enough to just stay with the normal pair?

Great review ONCE AGAIN! :) quick question! I wear 7.5 in all my cleats because I like having a tight fit with no wiggle room… I like having my toe right at the top of the cleat with barely any space. Would you still recommend sizing down to a 7 then?!

Of course mate! It's a high performance synthetic boot, so it's going to fit tight out of the box no matter who you are. I'd say taking out the insole does more damage than good, but that's a personal preference 🔥
Seeing you struggle to get the right boot on made me anxious. 😅 When I started buying boots in 2018 I got size 11s, and now I’m down to size 10s after slowly realizing how important it is for them to fit tightly and not have extra space at the toe.
It's just cause my hands were cold and the Anti-slip material in the heel is no joke! 🔥

There’s no leather on these mate, so my guess is the made in Vietnam/Indonesia would just be a less-premium synthetic weave 🤝

The upper is 0.7mm thicker than the MIJ, and the soleplate board isn’t KaRVO, it’s the same as the one used on the Neo III

The Morelia Neo 3 Elite are a fantastic pair of football boots, and well worth the $200 price point. They're a great option for people not looking to pay 50% more for the MIJ model 💙

Have you used the the rebula 3. This remind me of those. Probably my favorite Mizuno and I have the neo 2, 3, 3 beta, wave cup, and rebula cup. Softest leather of all those pairs.

Will triangle studs lack ground penetration? So they don't feel close to the ground and it feels like you can turn your ankle at any point.
That was my reason fro not liking original mizuno morelia, wide round studs that made me feel 'higher' off the ground.

That's super tough, both are EXCELLENT. I'd say go with the Battle Pack F50 because they're more rare - these Mizunos will be available when you run through the F50s, whereas if you got the Mizunos now, there's no guarantee you'd find those remakes in your size 🧠

How do you think the karvo insert compares to the carbotex insert from adidas?
Not quite as responsive, but very good. Most people won’t notice the difference
Maybe try a boot stretcher to see if you can modify shape and make them match worthy? My son has the new mercs, and has wide feet...after 15-20hrs of break-in, he said they were still killing his feet. I widened with amazon boot stretcher and he said problem solved, first attempt!

I like the boots but is there a difference in feel between the traditional tongue and flyknit. I currently wear mercurial vapor elites and love how secure they buy I fear I might lose some of that if I get the mizunos

I've bought one of these and I loved a lot and it's just perfect for my (wide) feet. But i don't see anyone playing with these boots. Some players use Mizuno Neo and others the Morelia 2 but, at least in leagues i watch, i cannot find anyone using it. Just for curiosity, because they are perfect to me: there is any limitations for professinal players? Sorry for the bad english
Class mate! I'm glad they fit you well! That's a tough one - I know a lot of people in the US markets who like them, but I haven't seen them either at the top top level. Most likely it's because Mizuno's marketing budget is SUPER small compared to the other brands, so they can't get their boots on pro's feet

That remains to be seen! I don't think I got the right size in the Morelia Neo 3 Beta, so that may have affected my impressions of that boot. These feel pretty tight still even though they do feel like they'd stretch to my feet
@@NoahCavanaugh i had the neo3 beta and the toe box was so cramped i was planning to give up after my 2nd game. but just when i tried on the last time before i would give it away it stretched perfectly and fit my toe area. now i m considering the alpha but prehaps i will wait for yr one month review :)

Looks a bit like the HG Sole by Adidas. Overall give me a bit of f50 vibes. Hoped for a bit of Leather 🧐 since it’s MIJ… look cool but seem quite narrow looking at the lacing. Barely enough lace to lace the boot lol.
Definitely F50 vibes! You can always go for the Morelia Neo 3 Beta if you want leather 🔥 Yeah, I did the runners knot which uses an extra cross-over before tying the laces tight. Makes the laces quite short 😅

Price is high, but I paid d $270 for the Rebula Cup and they were worth it.

they look like great boots, mizuno missed the mark tough on the price. here they cost 320 euros!! and i rarely see mizuno's on sale. (i personaly have not tried them) but with an upper that thin and a boot that light they had to make sacrefices for durability. brands like nike and addidas have top options for 200 euros (on sale). here is a question, are these boots anything like the addidas speedflows beceause they have a similar concept with the thin upper. and i loved the speedflows.
It depends where you live mate, in Japan they're far cheaper than in the US or in the EU. For non-Japanese consumers though, they are quite expensive. Remains to be seen whether they deserve the price tag! I wouldn't be so sure on the lack of durability mate, MIJ models tend to be excellent in that regard. They do seem similar to the Speedflows, but better build quality and more purpose-built materials in my opinion 🤝
Get the Elites. They’re still excellent boots and I think run about $200 depending on where you are

If you have super wide feet, probably not - but if you’re in the middle somewhere they should be fine!

Floating tongue is WAY better than one piece uppers. Better chance of a great fit
