My first Mizuno pair was a takedown model. Mizuno takedowns were not bad by any means, but their top end models are just so impeccable that i could never go back to takedowns once i tried them out. Absolutely worth every penny
@@johnsfak2324 yes you can, because they are rounded studs. However, Mizuno do have specific AG shoes, but are very limited in quantity. I would recommend getting the AG version, if you mostly play on artificial grass. It's ALOT more comfortable. But FG will still suffice
I have been playing rugby for 28years straight now, so have been in a lot of boots. After played with Asics and Adidas, I made the step to Mizuno 5years ago.. And have to say they ARE by far the best boots I've ever bought.. the leather is smooth, light to wear, the position of studs are perfect. U may say Mizuno's craftsmanship is expensive but it's top-notch. No other boots but Mizuno's for me 🤙🏼

The morelia neo 3 beta is the best boot i ever owend. Perfect in every single way. This colorway is sick. Maybe i need another one in my collection. (The colour reminds me a little of the adidas Predator dragon (backham) back in the days.
The Betas are incredible. I've never put a boot on and felt like my touch was instantly better, and required zero break in. I hate the price but they're worth every penny.

My sons had 2 pairs of the ‘non Japan’ neo 3 betas and they have been excellent. Wear incredibly well surviving regular washing/scrubbing and drying no problem. We get the SG metal stud version for rugby.

I am Brazilian, government makes a lot of taxes on imported items, but Mizuno boots in Brazil itself are very very much expensive (kind of R$2300) and importing from Japan, with the taxes, you will be paying ¥17260 (in BRL is R$590), outstanding, no? Mizuno boots are really my favorite, and I think seriously on import it! Thanks for the video!

I defiantly recommend the new MIJ DNA (black) over the Neo Betas. Its personal preference, but I like a traditional tongue feel. The Neo tongue feels 'just' a bit too tight over my mid foot. Its not all bad though. Aparently Mizuno have just dropped a silver traditional tounge colour way over in the Far East. Fingers crossed we might be lucky Europe / UK could get some in the next few months. I play on modern AG pitches and it's two thumbs up on those surfaces. Even as a long time Adi-fanboy, I much prefer the stud pattern of these new Mizunos. Having said that if the pitch is super dry, I do switch down to cheaper pairs of Morelias with the multi stud AG pattern. Its 28 degrees here right now and I am looking forward to more traditional British weather. The boots in the above review are really excellent in wet weather conditions, winters coming... as they say in 'GOT'. :D

I bought the elites after listening to Jay and Josh hype Mizuno to the moon. Style wise I think they look great. They have a nice touch on the ball, but they aren't as comfortable as I was lead to believe. Certainly not as comfortable as my Nike premiers. Nice boot, but I feel they are overrated by hipsters.

Argh sorry to hear they haven’t lived up to the hype for you guys. I’ve genuinely never had issues with the Japan made Neos and only had one pair of Mizunos give me blisters (Rebula II, ugh) - and you’re some of the only few people I’ve heard who don’t like them - hence the hype, I guess 🤷♂️ It always sucks to follow somebody else’s advice and then not feel 100% happy, and that’s the curse of what Josh and I do: every players foot and preferences are different, so it’s hard to give advice that’s universally spot on. We can only share our own opinion and hope that it helps as many people as possible. Oh and by they way, if you bought the Mizuno boots from Unisport and aren’t happy, they can be returned during the first 30 days under their satisfaction guarantee 👍
@@unisportI bought the Rebula Cup Elite size 41, the length was great but they were Very tight over the foot, uncomfortable + "sleeping toes" (played 1 1/2 hour to try them out). I then changed to Rebula Cup MIJ size 42 and they feel very comfy but have that extra space in the toe box I´m not 100% happy about. Now I´m wondering if the MIJ have more space in the toe box than the Elite and that MIJ in size 41 would fit perfectly. QUESTION: Are the MIJ more spacious (width) in the toe box than the Elite and is is normal that you go half size down on the MIJ vs Elite? Thanks a million
I bought Nike superfly 9 because of your comment and love them after break in. You really just can't call the boot with the 80s stud pattern comparable to airzoom and good tread pattern.
If you've ever tried Nike Premier 1s- they have familiar feels to the Mizuno Morelia III ! Too bad they don't sell premier 1s anymore, they were my favourite pairs, and not too sure of premier 2s
Mizunos morelia neos are the best cleats I've ever worn. But the studs to me are a little too short. I find myself slipping more on sharp cuts than i normally do. It seems to be the only issue i have with these

the mizuno design on the side of the boots reminds me of the cartoon ROADRUNNER when ya look at it from a small distance, another thing id like to know is what if your wearing the expensive model which is so soft & light its like wearing a sock but if someone puts their studs in on your foot would it do alot more damage than wearing a cheaper boot at maybe €80 which is a fake leather or maybe more synthetic

I just ordered a pair of Morelia Neo 3 beta elites cuz leather won over synthetic upper. I’m changing my Vapor 14 Elites FG to Mizunos so we’ll see if it was a good choice cuz I was happy with them even using on AG pitches and consider them one of the best synthetic football boots ever had.
This video are the reason im buying the Morelia Neo iii Elite (not the beta like in the video) but what I can say that is the boot is worth every penny! It do give u barefoot sensation, the K leather is so good and comfy. The weight is so superb (quite lightweight) and still give u protection compared to other speed boot So yeah, I do agree that this is one of the boots that u need to have!
I played 2 games a week. The leather feels good, yes there is wear and tear but what I can say the shoes still in good condition. Hope my review helps u!

Been wearing mizuno Morelia Neo for 14years....i tried wearing other boots I have a low ankle ball and morelia neo to me fits me best.... I only have 2 pairs of MIJ and the rest are MII... The MII are bang for bucks.... Just as good as MIJ... And these mizuno's will give u at least 2years of life...
I keep getting blisters on my heel when wearing the elites. Normally I am a size 41 but I bought size 40.5 cuz it fits better. But I touched the material inside the heel of the boot and there seems to be something poking out of it. Has anyone else met the same problem ?

I loved my Mizuno Morelia Neo. The shoe fit superbly and the leather was so soft; I even bought a leather creme so they would stay soft and comfy lol. But I have to say for anyone looking to buy these shoes and play most of the time on artificial grass: Don't buy them. As you can see the cleats on the sole have a different color than the base sole itself; that part of plastic (the dark grey one) is glued on the sole and will break off the sole within a couple of months. It happend to my boots and a few teammates of me, who tried the Mizuno aswell. Most of the time it was the cleats of the second row from the heel that fell off the sole, which basically leads to the shoes being unusable anymore. If you want to buy any of the shoes with that sole from Mizuno be sure to mainly use them on grass and only on the rarest occasions wear them on AG.

@@elminay_ 3 seasons easy if you put some conditioner in the leather after washing. No issues with the sole plate detaching.

@Raasuk K I went a half size down compared to my nikes and they fit perfect. The leather stretches a tiny but once you break them in

Been wearing mizuno Morelia Neo for 14years....i tried wearing other boots I have a low ankle ball and morelia neo to me fits me best.... I only have 2 pairs of MIJ and the rest are MII... The MII are bang for bucks.... Just as good as MIJ... And these mizuno's will give u at least 2years of life...
2 yrs of life if you play every day or just 2 times a week... I only play two times a week and I have the Moriella neo lll Japan the $300 version
I keep getting blisters on my heel when wearing the elites. Normally I am a size 41 but I bought size 40.5 cuz it fits better. But I touched the material inside the heel of the boot and there seems to be something poking out of it. Has anyone else met the same problem ?

I loved my Mizuno Morelia Neo. The shoe fit superbly and the leather was so soft; I even bought a leather creme so they would stay soft and comfy lol. But I have to say for anyone looking to buy these shoes and play most of the time on artificial grass: Don't buy them. As you can see the cleats on the sole have a different color than the base sole itself; that part of plastic (the dark grey one) is glued on the sole and will break off the sole within a couple of months. It happend to my boots and a few teammates of me, who tried the Mizuno aswell. Most of the time it was the cleats of the second row from the heel that fell off the sole, which basically leads to the shoes being unusable anymore. If you want to buy any of the shoes with that sole from Mizuno be sure to mainly use them on grass and only on the rarest occasions wear them on AG.

@@cozythug for natural grass you will have no problems. But like artificial grass, especially if its old and hard, it will break 100 percent.
