    And this ladies and gentlemen, is WHY Molly Hatchet will always be my favorite band! I love this song. The way they just keep playing music on and on is one of the many reason I like them. They do it in a lot of their songs. This band KNEW how to ROCK!!!

      No doubt! Being a Florida boy, growin up seeing them more than every band except Stranger Band. Molly Hatchet is beloved to me and all my friends that are now mostly dead and gone. But Hatchet music will live forever!

    I was in the USAF at Myrtle Beach AFB when this came out and heard this almost daily from the Gator boy across the hall in the barracks! Paul Levesque, if you’re still out there brother, we had plenty of high times whenever this was on! This old New Yorker now in Thailand can’t get enough of these Southern Rock classics!

      The 3rd of the 3-guitar bands from Jacksonville, Skynyrd, The Outlaws, and Molly Hachet. MH came along just in time to carry the torch for Skynyrd after the tragic plane, crash. I really enjoyed MH. They had a harder edge and Danny Joe really knew how to belt out a song.
      RIP Big Man and all your brothers from other mothers!

      @@mamacat63 Born and raised in Tampa town. But got a cousin in Lake City/Columbia Co. and plenty of friends in Live Oak, Gainesville, Madison, Trenton, Bell and never noticed any accent. Good people.

    If someone put me on the spot and asked me what my favorite southern rock group was, I'm pretty sure I would answer "Molly Hatchet." As a Midwestern boy from Evansville, Indiana, Danny Joe Brown is one of my vocal inspirations.

      Dave was really tight back in the day. I got to see him with various bands before he passed and he got sloppy. I was truly disappointed.

    My youngest son was born in 1984. We would be riding in the car when he was just a young toddler, and he would say “ Dad was play gator in the bushes“. I had it on cassette at that time. Have had their vinyl since new. 😀😀😁

    I saw Molly Hatchet open up for UFO, Chicago Ampitheatre, 1978. They were so good! Danny Joe Brown on the vocals! They all threw their guitars way up in the air many many times, like every chance they could get. 30 or 40 times per song? I love the triple guitars, they sound so good!!!

    Philly in the 70s had alot of music playing. What always blew my mind is how popular the Southern Rock was in the Philly burbs. Little Feat, Skynyrd, Allman brothers, Outlaws and Molly Hatchet.

    Went to see them last night in Palatka, FL at the Blue Crab Festival. Great show but definitely now just a cover band but they did a good job. Danny Joe Brown's wife was in attendance, and they announced that they are going to Abbey Road Studios next month to record new music. Good luck with that, miss this original line up. Saw them many times in the late 70's and early 80's, they were the best!

    Saw them at the Reading Rock Festival in England '79. Hadn't heard of them before. This was their first ( I believe) gig here. Absolutely blew me and the crowd away. Never seen a band before or since that i didn't know beforehand that's had the same effect. My mate and i left the arena after their set and went back to our tent to discuss what we'd just seen and have a cup of tea - it's an English thing 😅

    I was fortunate enough to witness their show in FayetteNam ( Fayetteville ) N.C. at Cumberland County Arena....they were an inch away from Skynyrd an 38 Special....Finest Southern Rock you ever going to hear ( no disrespect to the Allman Bros or anyone else )

    I got to see them in a tiny venue with a handful of people. It was around 1978. They do that song the same way for a stadium as they did for that small group. It makes sense, but I did not anticipate it.

    I have to agree , sitting here in a canal just west of West Palm Beach, surrounded by literally 100's of gators in this 5 sq mile area ......i hear something in the bushes ......calling my name = LUNCH 😂😂

    I was at a concert in Orlando, they were with Bob Segar and someone else. It was a 2 day concert in 78, Kansas was the other one. I was youg.

    I'm beginning to think that these fellas are a bit underappreciated vis-a-vis their rocking and rolling
    I'd put them up against any Allman or Skynyrd you can show me
