  • Welcome back viewers to another fun Wednesday - yup back to our regular video release schedule. This week we try something new, making something that we can use in the shop and save some money.
Creating a Auxiliary Fuel tank - bottle - while diagnosing some carb issue on the newly acquired 2005 Yamaha V Star 650. This is a great looking bike - just runs like crap at the moment. Having this bottle in the future will be very handy when we need to run the bikes without having to put the tank back on all the time.
Be sure to stop by our store and get something fun while supporting this channel!!

It works great, but it does build vacuum pressure, every once in awhile you may need to release it for gas to flow freely again. Glad I could help.👍

Thanks for watching. How did the test go? I started watching that today and then go pulled away. I'll get back to it, but did you pass?

I'm probably going to buy me a motorcycle that has no gas tank pretty soon so I may have to do something like this until I can get a tank for it hahaha

There are much better options than this, but thanks - haha!

@@AceCafeBikes I'm in a hurry to get the bike and head down to California and this is the only method I can seem to find on TH-cam haha plus the bike I'm looking at is a 2004 yamaha V star coincidentally so it should work out. I just gotta figure out how I'm gunna mount it 😆. Most likely going to be using a normal gas can somehow.

Nice score. What’s your plan fix up and sell or something different. It looks nice as it is.

Hope you don't expect that glue to hold up to gasoline.

The expectation was to see if it would work. Surprisingly it did. Since, I have used it for a couple other bikes without any issues. Currently its hanging in the garage with gas in it. Perhaps this spring it will be found that the glue has deteriorated and leaks, but now - still holding strong. 😀

In your intro, I was shocked to see you welding in shorts! Haha! Yikes!

Yeah, it must have been hot that day - probably not the smartest plan 😉🤔
