I grew up riding motorcycles and I thought this would be a great way for my kids to work with me and get involved with motorbikes. I'm not a good mechanic, I don't have very many tools, and I'm sure that I'll make a lot of mistakes. I want to show that even with limitations you can still make a go at creating some fantastic machines.
So much enthusiasm!!
A milestone that I could pass up and a feature on this bike that blows my mind!!

Prety nice edit sir
Haha , me and my mate used to take his dads Goldwing out when his parents weren't home in the 80s . We were 13 , 14 . That thing was hard to turn at that age , but the speakers were awesome.
Him: "and my hand is over here..." Also Him: *Uses Third Hand* ✋️
they were on my 82 Gold Wing also.
All Harleys I believe. From quite some time back too.
Well I think its genius, glad it's on Harleys too
My 83 self cancels
Awesome
😮Nice, I had power windows and locks in my 66 tbird but manual one in my 89 Corolla lol
I remember having roll up windows, crazy how things come and go
Twenty years ago I lived in Owatonna for a little bit, I'd recognize that corn any day. I rode my 2000 ZRX 1100 many times out to bluff country to ride The River from Winona to Redwing. Then cross the bridge and take the Wisconsin side back. Nice Goldwing!
Two things about this is awesome, One - you recognize places that I am - hiw cool is that! Two - you have a ZRX 1100, way to cool!!!! Thanks for watching - so far the Goldwing has been a blast!
The Honda Goldwing is one of the best touring bikes ever made, fantastic bikes.
It has been a blast riding it
My Yamaha XS400 Seca has this, 1984. Mine are just run off a little timer box so it's 10s or 150m unless you're under 5mph. Still very nice.
AWESOME!
yeah my 1978 xs750 has it, I hate it though. I always want to put my signal on lots of time before i turn so that the person behind me doesn't run me over, but it always turns off and i have to turn it back on
Me noticing my signal is on when my last turn was 3 miles back
Hehe
“Why is everyone so far back for once?”
@@MeAndChips Thats funny
Congrats
Thanks so much
Lots of time into those
Not too bad, looking good
It’s on my Harley…
Nice
Love it
Thanks buddy!
Ya man, had them on my aspencade , love that feature
I love it too! What a shocker.
Why isn’t it a option on all bikes
Absolutely
I also enjoy watching milestone miles roll over.
Hells yeah!
Great audio on this one!
Thanks!! That big windshield helps a ton!!
Just replaced clutch cable on my CX 500 and the clutch shaft lost the tension on it. Before it would barely move. Now it goes up and down too easily and clutch lever doesnt return.
Without seeing it, I would guess that you just don't have enough pressure on the cable before you pull the lever. When you pull in the lever can you move the bike when its in gear?
@@AceCafeBikes yes. Clutch does not engage but the clutch arm on the engine is too easy to move after replacing the cable. Before I had use leverage to get it to move.
@@AceCafeBikes thanks for your help. Adjusted the cable for the nth time and now have my bike working again. Thanks!
I love the little things too. Enjoyed watching the excitement and totally understand. I’ll take the turn signal cancel too that way I wouldn’t look like an Iowa driver.
Thanks buddy - hmm - those Iowa drivers - HA! Too much excitement??
So much enthusiasm indeed !😂 Great video !!
Thanks Dave
I love your videos there so informative and makes me stir up ideas and I wanna thank you for that
Love that - thanks for watching!
It’s not cheating it’s called creative book keeping. As long as it gets closer to the goal it’s all good. Looking forward to seeing you get the gold wing out and actually seeing it happen
Haha! Creative bookkeeping GOLDWING hitting the screens tomorow
You make getting greasy look like fun. Someday when I get a spot I wanna get into a project like that.
Thanks buddy - this was quite a bit of fun - actually looking forward to getting back into this one later in the week!
Better you than me, man! :D Good work!
Thanks buddy
Getting those hands dirty literally. I’m so curious to see his plans for it
You betcha - this was a fun one to make with Laini - she does a great job with the camera!
I never get as far as I thought either. It amuses me how sure you are of yourself ripping a bike apart and I am pensive at every bolt removal afraid to screw something up. 🤣 Good on ya!
That is why I record this stuff - haha! Truthfully though, for some reason this bike seems to be coming apart easy and there hasnt been anything too complicated yet to remember. Now waiting a year and coming back to this might be an issue - SO - head down and carry on!
@@AceCafeBikes same reason I started recording. A long recording is better than a short memory ha!
@@upchuckchops hehe
Well, that was fun. Reminds me of when I restored my CX500.
Awesome - so far this has been a lot of fun!
Awesome video, who’s the camera man??
Well, that would be the middle monster - maybe you could lend a hand next time you are home!!!!!!!
I think when a bike (or car) is custom they have had work done, that does not include off the shelf parts. Someone that just changes a seat, is not custom. Cutting off a a subframe is custom.
I like your style Jerry!
I had a 1983 Virago XV 920 with the digital dash. To this day I regret selling that bike.
I think we all have one that slipped away
I think adding more than baubles and farkles is what makes a bike "custom" - but everyone's definition is different. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with that thing :D
Thanks John, we'll get it back this winter
The bike lift helps so much I bet.
It sure does. It was so nice working on this today without crawling around on the floor.
It’s very hard to qualify because as someone else has said it’s subjective. The dictionary definition of customise is to ‘modify’ and you have certainly done that.
Yes we have. Thanks!
Custom - yes! The seat turned out amazing! Took much more time and effort than the Amazon option and provides a more custom look and feel.
💪😉❤❤🍻🤙👍👍🏍
I asked a similar question awhile back as “what is a build?” I think a bike can be customized but not necessarily a custom. I think if you change the style and or function significantly from stock it becomes a custom. Maybe not a great answer but the best I have.
I agree.
The term custom is subjective. Someone that put s a chrome brake reservoir on may call it custom. Yet, someone totally changes the bike design, and purpose would be custom.
I think you and I are on the same path 👍
I don't like the look of modern Café racers. They actually didn't chop the fenders.
😉❤💪👍
Custom yes. I guess it’s all in degrees. Full blown custom is almost everything. Just putting a seat on is not a cafe bike it’s a bike with a cafe style seat.
You got it.. Im with ya!
The engine won’t die. Mine is a ‘96 and I just drove from Florida to Colorado, or 1,700 miles. If I bought an another bike it’d be the classic V-Max.
Thats awesome!
purchased this and love it --- not sure how truly dot rated it is or stands up in crash.... but this thing smelled so bad for 3 months I couldnt use it at first PLASTICEY TOXIC smell
👍
Rig sounds good
Thanks buddy!
Carry on! Looks like a.blast😊

Gotta fit some swimming in too
We'll see, surly we will have some time at the hotel!!
Nice!!!!! Love some Ozelfinch! Pretty cool story too. Y’all enjoy! Especially the heat!!!!!
Thanks buddy, definitely have the heat turned up! We have been having a blast so far!!
Great night!
