Twenty years ago I lived in Owatonna for a little bit, I'd recognize that corn any day. I rode my 2000 ZRX 1100 many times out to bluff country to ride The River from Winona to Redwing. Then cross the bridge and take the Wisconsin side back. Nice Goldwing!

The Honda Goldwing is one of the best touring bikes ever made, fantastic bikes.

My Yamaha XS400 Seca has this, 1984. Mine are just run off a little timer box so it's 10s or 150m unless you're under 5mph. Still very nice.

Just replaced clutch cable on my CX 500 and the clutch shaft lost the tension on it. Before it would barely move. Now it goes up and down too easily and clutch lever doesnt return.

I love the little things too. Enjoyed watching the excitement and totally understand. I’ll take the turn signal cancel too that way I wouldn’t look like an Iowa driver.

I think when a bike (or car) is custom they have had work done, that does not include off the shelf parts. Someone that just changes a seat, is not custom. Cutting off a a subframe is custom.

I had a 1983 Virago XV 920 with the digital dash. To this day I regret selling that bike.

I think adding more than baubles and farkles is what makes a bike "custom" - but everyone's definition is different. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with that thing :D

It’s very hard to qualify because as someone else has said it’s subjective. The dictionary definition of customise is to ‘modify’ and you have certainly done that.

Custom - yes! The seat turned out amazing! Took much more time and effort than the Amazon option and provides a more custom look and feel.

I asked a similar question awhile back as “what is a build?” I think a bike can be customized but not necessarily a custom. I think if you change the style and or function significantly from stock it becomes a custom. Maybe not a great answer but the best I have.

The term custom is subjective. Someone that put s a chrome brake reservoir on may call it custom. Yet, someone totally changes the bike design, and purpose would be custom.

I don't like the look of modern Café racers. They actually didn't chop the fenders.

Custom yes. I guess it’s all in degrees. Full blown custom is almost everything. Just putting a seat on is not a cafe bike it’s a bike with a cafe style seat.

The engine won’t die. Mine is a ‘96 and I just drove from Florida to Colorado, or 1,700 miles. If I bought an another bike it’d be the classic V-Max.

purchased this and love it --- not sure how truly dot rated it is or stands up in crash.... but this thing smelled so bad for 3 months I couldnt use it at first PLASTICEY TOXIC smell
