    Great info, thank you. Question on the sound set up. If your dual cameras are both set up with HDMI through the Elgato link, then when you switch cameras, does that mean it also switches the audio to be running from the camera selected?? I have a set up now with a sony X10 with the sound board from the church running into the cam, then the I can mix on the the cam the amount of sound board and room ambiance so give the sound a live but solid sound . If I add a camera in the way you have it set up here, I'm just wondering how that affects my sound. I hope this makes sense. thanks

    • @DoubtMeTech
      @DoubtMeTech  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would normally have the sound coming through a mixer connected to the computer via USB and the audio from both cameras set to zero (no audio). But if you have the mixer connected into one of the cameras, then the 2nd camera I would bring the audio levels all the way down to zero. If both cameras are on the same scene, switching cameras won't affect the audio source

    • @DoubtMeTech

      It's not recommended to use USB hubs because each cam link requires a lot of power from each connection. If you're using 4 cams, then I would recommend adding the Blackmagic ATEM Mini Pro as your switcher. It will use one USB port but will taken in 4 different cams.

    I can't get any audios from my cameras. Even when I display all the camera settings info on the screen, it shows I'm getting an audio input into the camera itself as I can see the audio levels moving up and down, however the audio bars within OBS studios are static and when I watch back the recording there is no sound. Please can you suggest how to fix this issue? Many thanks!

    Do I need Cam Link for iMac to connect two cameras?

  • @YouMadeItPolitical
    @YouMadeItPolitical 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Thanks for the video man! Do I have to have the cam link for each camera, or can I go directly from the camera to the computer via the cable? Something's not working right for me, and I don't know what I'm missing. I can get both feeds to work on each camera, but one is always overriding the other when they're both on. Might be the missing cam link?

    • @DoubtMeTech
      @DoubtMeTech  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For high quality you will need a cam link for each camera. You can however do this: th-cam.com/video/O7-mFamLaVY/w-d-xo.html PLUS 1 cam on a cam link. But that video shows a method that will work on a budget, but im not a fan of it. I definitely prefer a cam link for each cam.
