As someone who is planning on launching a podcast I really enjoyed this and found a lot of value in it. Whilst I appreciate the demo, I actually enjoyed the very brief episode from you and Lila and would have watched more of it. I think you should definitely do a podcast series, or do one with Lila, the Lee and Lila/Lila and Lee show!

I've been hoping Apple would just build this kind of thing into iOS and MacOS, call it FaceTime Pro or something. Maybe with USB-C they could even enable higher bit rates with direct cabling. It makes so much sense! $20 per month is not a lot for what this does... especially cross platform. Will definitely check it out. Every tech company should have a basic setup like this.

I think the price is fair if you are a business or use it more than once a month. The people complaining about the price were never going to use it anyway

    • @sloanNYC

@@LeeZavitz Exactly, for the avg person, try it for a month here and there when you need it... flexible! And yearly it is $140... it would be nice if they had a buy once option for that instead. Or maybe $140 was for like 2 years instead of 1. It strikes me as software worth $150-$200 to buy outright, but $20 per month option is great.

    (Google Translate, i’m French)
Discussion title: What minimum tablet configuration for the Multicam with MEVO START?
    Hello everyone,
I just purchased a pack of 3 MEVO START and I want to have 6 more or MEVO go with iPhone or iPad…
I tested the Multicam with the following devices:
    - iPad Air 2: Obviously too old since when I play the Multicam recording, the sound is completely out of sync with the image
    - Samsung S7+ (much more recent): The sound is well aligned with the image but on the other hand there are jerks in the image (they do not seem to be at 30 frames/second but just at half, like an old webcam …
    - Google Pixel 4a smartphone: Same observation as with the Samsung S7+, therefore not satisfactory
    - iPhone 14 PRO: Fortunately I had just acquired this smartphone otherwise I would have resold the MEVO STARTs without satisfaction. With the iPhone 14 pro, there are no these jerks, it seems that there is the right number of frames per second so that the human eye does not feel any jerk. However, I find the screen a little too small and a shame to use my phone during the recordings...
I specify that during all the tests, I tried all the software configurations offered by the app (all latency settings, with or without wifi router box, etc., different image qualities, it jerks as soon as you arrive at 720p with all my devices except the iPhone 14 pro)
In short, I would like to buy a tablet with which there would be no synchronization problems or visual stutters, but what is the minimum configuration for that?
For example, the 2018 iPad pro 11 or 2017 iPad Pro 10.5 would still be within my budget as a second-hand purchase, but will it work with it?
With which tablet do you take your Multicam recordings and are you completely satisfied with the result?
Thanks a lot for your answers !
    Olivier.

Does not allow to control the remote camera. In the position where screen is not accessible it’s a showstopper:(

Can this be programmed to pan automatically? I’ve seen cameras that do that before

Boo to monthly fees. It isn't going through their servers, offer a reasonable flat rate.

this as cool as F==k... I like it apart from the subscription .
why does everything in 2023 come with a subscription ??

Subscriptions suck. Just go with OBS. It's free and does everything this does. I'd wager a bet that mevo is selling people OBS. It's an open source platform so they can do that if they wanted to. It's unscrupulous, but anything for a buck nowadays.

Services cost money, they aren’t selling hardware here so how does Logitech make money?

Oh no I agree they have to charge something 😃. That’s how businesses works. But for little projects that I would like to start it’s a little “steep” or hard to justify the money=/(for now). Your video pushed me to want to use Mevo but the wallet doesn’t let it haha.

how much money do you get to lie? because I set these cameras to view publicly and they are still private, you the hell pretend that they are all private to you

lol I’m not gonna lie about how to use this. You probably don’t have something setup correctly
