- Dyno test after installing the Akrapovic complete exhaust system.
This run is without db-killer.
stock: 84,2pk / 83,6Nm
akra with db-killer: 87,6pk / 86,8Nm
akra no db-killer: 87,8pk / 86,3Nm
crank power.
Thank you for sharing! This is the first video of anyone tuning this bike and I have to say that just the sound is amazing and to gain a couple HP is a great bonus in my opinion. I hope you're happy with how it turned out. Would be great to see a wideo with a couple of fly by runs on the street.
It's not tuned...
Brill , that quick shifter seems to work well and that exhaust sounds awasome love it
I've just had the Akrapovich fitted to mine today, luckily the tech was fitting an arrow system to their demo GSX-8S before I got there, when I saw it I was so glad I picked the Akrapovich as it looks so much better, really high quality finish (I can't stop admiring it). The tech said there was fitting parts missing in the arrow kit and he wasn't impressed as he was going to have to knock up his own bracket to make it fit. He also said the curly pipe bit (arrow) only just clears the rear shock bottom mount which was also not ideal. Hope this helps you if you're choosing a system.
Absolutely amazing sound
That sounds sick
That really wakes the bike up 👍😎
Fantastic! 🎉❤
I could hear the power taper off toward the top revs. I bet the TBW throttle mapping in the ECU is pulling back the secondary throttle plates restricting it.
Its a longer than normal stroke engine, made for low midrange grunt, camshafts will also suit mid rpm torque instead of top end power. This engine seems to be a bigger and better cp2 (mt-07).
@@J2I3H Correct. Yet I'm referring to the factory ETV (electronic throttle valve) maps on the ECU. Factories have been pulling these numbers back from 100% relative to the throttle-grip for emissions and noise purposes.
@@lifted_aboveYeah they are definitely throttling it in the ecu up top just like the gsxs 1000. So you’re definitely right about that.
@@lifted_above ah ok, thanks for the info. Bloody emission rules
@@J2I3H Yeah even when your giving full throttle, the ecu can limited it to 60% base on gear and RPM. I hope moore mafia does an video on it, as he shows the stock ecu map and what holding the bike back.
please comment on how different this feels on the street now
It feels a bit quicker, the quick shifter is working a bit quicker (perfect now). And the sound is making it perfect.
Wonder if the go fast after market and flashing ECU's will happen for this bike.
It think a lot of improvements can be done, by flashing the ecu.
I think it is very restrictive in ECU.
Does the comfort seat make a big difference on this bike. I have the standard right now and would like to upgrade to something better
A bit better, not a huge difference.
@@Mr.X-bikes that's kind of what I expected. I'll just wait for Corbin to come out with theirs then
Hey man, do i need ECU tune for this exhaust? or will it be safe stock?
Ecu tune is not necessary,
But I think much more power is possible with ECU tune.
what do you like more the arrow exhaust system or the akra? optically i like arrow a bit more i guess, but the sound with akra sounds deeper. at least on camera
I prefer the arrow, because of the design, price and approval. The finishing of the akra is a bit better. Akra sounds a bit deeper. The Arrow with approval is loud.
@@Mr.X-bikes nice, thanks for your reply! Hopr you keep showing your gsx-8. Best looking on the Internet so far!
Is de ecu hierbij ook geflashed? Of was dit het resultaat na enkel monteren van het uitlaatsysteem?
Dit is enkel dankzij het uitlaatsysteem. Ecu is volledig stock.
Scheelt 20 kg
ducati kopen @@J2I3H power en betere vering 30 kilo lichter ;)
Ecu tune the throttle to map 100% and add a top end cam .
So it went from 80 to 85 HP?
From stock 84 to almost 88hp.
@@Mr.X-bikes I assume 88HP @ engine? Or on Wheel?
@@brudalerSVRider69
at the crank.
Hmm.. it’s a shame it’s under powered. Good around the city but would be slow on the motorway.
Good to know db-killer makes almost no difference in power.
Guy must be tall as fuck
You have to remap it now
Exaust Sounds good, Looks ugly
Hopefully it's a fun bike because that sounds like trash. I just can't get behind these boring, parallel twins.
3 hp lol not worth the money, slip on wil be all u need for sound
No slip-on available, it's not possible. Some people also buy it for the looks and the sound, not the gain in hp.
@@Mr.X-bikesciao complimenti per il tuo video, io possiedo una 800 de con lo stesso motore presumo stesso cambio. Anche io posso ottenere questi risultati ? La moto in alto é spenta ... Bella fino a 7000 giri . Ciao grazie.
@@clamils9138 Thanks! You mean the DL800? It has the same engine (a different mapping so it makes 1hp more). The gearbox is the same, but the rear sprocket size is different (larger for the DL).
Don't have a video, sorry.
