- db test Suzuki GSX-8S with Arrow works complete system.
with db-killer.
testing difference with and without cat. Very easy to take the cat out (it's hot!), it sounds a bit louder (3db). Officially no approval without cat.
with cat:
86,1pk / 83,8Nm, 92db
without cat:
87,0pk / 86,8Nm, 94/95db
not tested without db-killer, because it has 2 welding points. I think it is louder than the Akrapovic without db-killer.
Great sound without!! I want it. Love the stickers btw.
thank you for excellent gsx8 content akra on the dyno sounds deeper
How did you mount the bug spoiler with the aftermarket exhaust? I noticed the bug spoiler bracket is supposed to attach to a mount on the stock exhaust. Thank you!
The Arrow exhaust has the same mounting spots. The Akra doesn't, I used a small metal bracket to bolt on to the frame.
Hi! I have a question: I am going to install the arrow exhaust, I was thinking of the full system with cat and re-map the ecu, but maybe before that I try to just put the arrow with the cat... my question is do you know if the bike runs good with the cat and not lean (if you have done a dyno run with cat)? Can you feel a big difference in sound with and without cat (but always with db killer)? Also thanks for the videos showing the different combinations of with/without cat and db :)
The bike runs verry wel with cat, stock mapping. Not lean.
Without cat it still runs wel, a few hp/nm's extra. And 4db's more.
Just try, complete system with cat. You can always remap later .
@@Mr.X-bikes thanks for the answer! So the air-fuel ratio is alright with the arrow+cat? Did you measure it on the dyno?
I ordered it with the CAT for mine (at least I'll have the certificate, but will decide later if to put it on or not, my Suzuki mechanic suggests a remap regardless so it runs just a little bit smoother. Maybe at the remap appointment they can suggest if Cat or no Cat, I also got a new aftermarket filter to put on too. Just wanted to give you some ideas!
@@bisagni09 thanks, I will ask them too!
How much did you pay for the bug spoiler? Have not seen it in the previous videos.

This is the one
I think the high pitch sound that the gsxr’s make sound amazing. R1 my dream bike because nothing more sexy than the Yamaha R streetbikes 😮💨 and that cross plane sound mean. But gsxr definitely the second sounding best
Lol what does that have to do with this video?
That sticker kit is nice. Do they sell that anywhere?
For the Netherlands, at the local Suzuki dealer.

Different designs available
@@Mr.X-bikesdo u know who sells these sticker kits in the UNITED STATES CALIFORNIA
Hello,
I really like your aftermarket mirrors. Could i know the brand and model ?
Hi, Thanks,
They are sold by Suzuki Netherlands:

Hi mate, that bellypan is beautiful. Where do i buy it?!
Thanks!
I've bought it from my Suzuki dealer.
Maybe they can send it to you.

@@Mr.X-bikes thanks mate, I'll look at that. Makes a nice difference to the look of the bike.
Grind those welds and remove the DB killer!
😊
What belly pan spoiler is that, please?
Hi,
Suzuki NL is selling this:
www.suzuki.nl/motoren/accessoires/styling-bescherming/99980-25810-qu1-bugspoiler-gsx-8s-blauwzwart/
is is a problem in NL that the exhaust is 4 db louder than the stock one
Don't think so, system is approved, so if I get a ticket I can send it to Arrow 😉
If you pair the exhaust with the cat you will get a certificate, I believe. There is a margin of 3db in the Dutch law, iirc. 4db will not be a big problem, the police barely ever detains people for it unless it's a straight pipe or whatever.
Can someone mention by looking at the exhaust that the cat is removed? Just asking for a friend 😁
Tell your friend, NO 😆😆
If db-killer is mounted, you can't see if the cat is removed, only by removing the silencer.
Do they have a decal set for the white one. If so, how can I get one in the United States?
Yes they have:

you can contact this guy, he can ship it:

@Mr.X where can i find this bug spoiler? Thx
They are sold by Suzuki dealers in the Netherlands. You can check the website.
@@Mr.X-bikes Thank you!
Was hoping a removal of the baffle as well. Thanks for the video, regardless.
Thanks,
the baffle has 2 small welding's, you can easily remove them, but than I have a problem with approval (if there is a possibility to take it out).
@@Mr.X-bikes Okay I understand. I saw the screw on it and figured maybe it wasn't welded.
@@Mr.X-bikeswith the baffle it already sounds great, no need to remove that. You will lose some back pressure too if you do that.
@@viezeturk8191 Backpressure is a myth with 4-stroke internal combustion engines. There is zero cases where restriction of exhaust flow from the engine is a good thing. It's why exhaust companies spend millions on R&D to create efficient scavenging. An engine is an air-pump. You need volumetric efficiency to make the pump function at its optimal. There is no db killer in there right?
There is a dbkiller inside
just leave cat in not worth it and better for the world :)
