When you talked about having workers gather from flax nodes, it also reminded me of how this can help raise your Processing level. I have workers on flax and cotton nodes as they're used for costumes, like you mentioned. But the other benefit is that it's listed as one of the best ingredients starting out, to raise Processing skill. I believe with Professional 5 in both Gathering and Processing, you can make pure metal crystals (iron, silver, etc.) which sell for a lot.

I also like growing my own crops with large fences. ("Farming") I use 2 large fences to grow grains for beer, flour towards pet feed, and to make fertilizer if I run out. I use the regular or high-quality grains for this and save top-quality ("Special") for health/mana potions. It is a bit annoying to have to log off and switch to my other character at my farm, so I only bother when I'm soloing rather than when I'm in a party. The other nice thing about this is, when you prune your crops you get a decent amount of Spirit's Leaf and Monk's Branch. Much more than what you can get from workers and nodes. More importantly there's a chance at a Sharp/Hard Black Crystal Shard. (I just got a Sharp about 15 mins. ago!) Oh and I almost forgot, when Plant Breeding you can obtain rare items (Fruit of Magic Power, Fruit of Crimson Flame, etc.) which are used in Alchemy. They sell for 10K or 30K. Pruning crops also gives various items that can be turned in for contribution exp, gathering skill exp, fertilizer, 3K silver, and other things.

Also it appears the "Fruit of ____" items are only obtained (infrequently) through plant breeding, or rarely by harvesting with a hoe on farms (cotton farms, grape vineyards, but not random bushes). In a Q&A around the time this video was made, Daum stated that there is NO benefit from investing energy into nodes towards production. It only benefits item drops when you kill and loot mobs.

Little question for you, in your video you tell us we should pick humans, cause of the luck stat, but you are using goblins. so my guess is that you got super lucky goblins to do the job, how did you manage to get luck skills on ur goblin? how do you chose wich specific skill you get on your workers? cause to me it seems just to be RNG
It's RNG, unfortunately, of course. And most players build ships, wagons, or something like that to level up workers quickly, and see if they get good skills, and if not, then they sell them at the worker exchange, then rinse and repeat. And you should use humans on nodes with important/valuable secondary items. Blade might've been testing or something. And the argument that goblins work so much faster that they eventually get more secondary items than humans is inaccurate.
Hey, great guide! Your missing out on the most profitable node for passive income though. Its the Ancient Ruins Excavation Site, you have to talk to the Node Manager for it and it gives you Broken Helmet Ornaments and Obscuring Golem Fragments. They each Sellf for 840/900 Silver each (the loot got increased a few patches ago it used to be a lot less). Worktime there is about 1:30 hours if your using a goblin (a lot less if its professional or higher). On top of that you get the chance to obtain powder of earth which as you said sells for 9k.

2:00 Powder of Earth is never on the Marketplace, so I just ended up using workers to procure it. It's more valuable to obtain than to sell, because it's used in making much more profitable items like Light Iron Horsehoes, which use 20 Powder of Earth and sell for around 450K. Light Iron Horseshoes are just 2 Iron Ingots, 20 Powder of Earth, 5 Black Stone Powder. The other ingredients are trivial to obtain, and at no cost, so that's a 200K profit easily. And the horseshoes are often sold out on Marketplace. :) So you will sell them fast.
I dont sell them either, the idea was to obtain and make into products, you may find outside of horseshoes that cooking clothes has a better margin from time to time.
14:09 i love that coal node for the powder, i make steel battle horseshoes in calph, they sell like hotcakes and depending on current prices, they sell for about 200-300% of the material worth (after tax) on my server :D

Holy grind Blade... with the most recent patch you can make around 5 million an hour farming pirate island off of trash drops. Substantially more if you get lucky on rare item drops, I've been seeing at least 1 coral accessory per hour there, sometimes 2. If you get the jackpot and get the earring that sells for 15 million (on Orwen at least)... money is insane.

+Zach Hansen Well they are made without resource cost as long as you send a worker to do it. In the case of Behr I used in the video you can get as free Calpheon Timber Crate
+zefs Ill pikcup the Powder of Earth and Fir sap when I travel to Calpheon, same for Savagery, Bloody Tree Knots and Old Tree Bark as I pass through Heidel. The rest stay where they are attained, refined and sold in that city, or stockpiled further.

Great video - can't wait until you get more data on the investment banking outcomes. As of right now, for how much you have invested in them, I find the returns very unimpressive. But since nobody really knows how exactly node level influences the results...if levelling the investment bank nodes up further yields even a fraction of a percent bonus, that would be quite significant.

+Farda Safari I dont because I like pulling out contribution all the time and adjusting it. For example if I see an chance to make money crafting Ill drive up one or two node routes for the day, craft tons, then reinvest in those routes the next day.

Have a couple of questions. For the nodes with the two resources (Iron mine & Mediah Northern) do you need to put two workers on the node to get both resources at the same time? Also how do you stay connected long enough to do all of this? My game disconnects sometimes 5 mins after I log in or somethings it'll stay connected for an hour and then disconnect. I can hardly even afk fish anymore.
could we get your spread sheet in the description? For our own calculations and to change prices as they change in real time? Also for farming what class would you say is best? (farming as in mob killing grind)

jairo oliveira NP yeah here to help lol, you could defintely leave them there a week and they will sell. Stock piling isnt a bad idea in case the deman changes and if 300-600k an hour sounds good process the tier 1s to tier 2 and sell
Is there any point in investing energy in a node? I read mixed answers all around google. I recall on a video you had like lvl 3-4 on lynch farm ruins because you'd never get rid of it.
+KingFerlyMusic I have not tested each one and want to, but if you look at crafting notes and check the node section you can see tons of random items, trade items, misc items, and it shows what farm or mini city they come from. These are from having rank 1 houses there.
+Michael Blair Just take a look at the Node where you want your Worker to Work! Then pick the nearest one for fastes Travel times. Remember all goods gathered will be placed in the Hometown Storage of the Worker! So for example, you get a worker in Calpheon and send him down to Keplan, the goods he is gathering will be placed in your Stash in Calpheon. If you want him to Manufactor he will take the goods out of his hometown Stash, so keep that in Mind !!

you say the whole empire costs 47 contribution, how about the contribution required to house all of your workers in lodgings that are required to run this? i haven't really touched on workers yet, mostly using my contribution for trade routes atm so would be a big help if someone could give a ballpark region for the contribution required to house the bare minimum amount of workers for these nodes, also any contribution for extra storage space i might need

3:40 Bernianto Farm, initially shows no gathering node. You have to talk to the NPC and spend 35 energy to discover it. ("Contaminated Tooth")

Great video - can't wait until you get more data on the investment banking outcomes. As of right now, for how much you have invested in them, I find the returns very unimpressive. But since nobody really knows how exactly node level influences the results...if levelling the investment bank nodes up further yields even a fraction of a percent bonus, that would be quite significant.

+Farda Safari I dont because I like pulling out contribution all the time and adjusting it. For example if I see an chance to make money crafting Ill drive up one or two node routes for the day, craft tons, then reinvest in those routes the next day.

Have a couple of questions. For the nodes with the two resources (Iron mine & Mediah Northern) do you need to put two workers on the node to get both resources at the same time? Also how do you stay connected long enough to do all of this? My game disconnects sometimes 5 mins after I log in or somethings it'll stay connected for an hour and then disconnect. I can hardly even afk fish anymore.

processing will get them sold for sure, but may not be the best use of time.

jairo oliveira NP yeah here to help lol, you could defintely leave them there a week and they will sell. Stock piling isnt a bad idea in case the deman changes and if 300-600k an hour sounds good process the tier 1s to tier 2 and sell

Is there any point in investing energy in a node? I read mixed answers all around google. I recall on a video you had like lvl 3-4 on lynch farm ruins because you'd never get rid of it.
only good if u wont ever get rid of it and it has a rare drop that u want ... like the pwoders from the Ores.

+KingFerlyMusic I have not tested each one and want to, but if you look at crafting notes and check the node section you can see tons of random items, trade items, misc items, and it shows what farm or mini city they come from. These are from having rank 1 houses there.

+Michael Blair Just take a look at the Node where you want your Worker to Work! Then pick the nearest one for fastes Travel times. Remember all goods gathered will be placed in the Hometown Storage of the Worker! So for example, you get a worker in Calpheon and send him down to Keplan, the goods he is gathering will be placed in your Stash in Calpheon. If you want him to Manufactor he will take the goods out of his hometown Stash, so keep that in Mind !!

On my server, I could sell planks for 100k or the timber for 450k.
5X timber = 1-4 planks depending on your level. Learn how much you produce then multiply that by 65% because of tax and find out which is higher

you say the whole empire costs 47 contribution, how about the contribution required to house all of your workers in lodgings that are required to run this? i haven't really touched on workers yet, mostly using my contribution for trade routes atm so would be a big help if someone could give a ballpark region for the contribution required to house the bare minimum amount of workers for these nodes, also any contribution for extra storage space i might need
5 CP for 6 workers in heidel, just use the drop down menu to find lodging its not too bad
