For those of you who can't see the Excavation nodes, once you invest in the area node, you can talk to the node keeper to unlock the excavation node. It usually takes 35 energy to unlock.
thanks for making these useful guides morrolan, i was feeling overwhelmed with nodes and managing 150 cp as a relatively new player (1 month in), then i found your guide :D How much would you say you make from workers alone per hour?
A lot of people have been asking for an update to this video, so here it is: Nodes #1 through #5 are still high priority nodes that everyone should have. #6 is good now because of the timber more than the old tree bark, so get it when you can, but don't be in a huge rush. #7 is great just for raw silver by selling the trash loot to an NPC, even if you don't need the rare drops. It's also got a pretty good location, so still pick that one up ASAP. Nodes #8, 9, and 10 should be skipped unless you are running a Workshop that specifically uses a material from one of those nodes. The rest of the video is still relevant - none of the nodes in the game have changed. As Trading becomes more popular, the price of raw materials has gone up, so generic timber & ore nodes are pretty good across the board nowadays. Some new stuff has been added in Valencia, which I made a short video about here: th-cam.com/video/vK6Uhpr9v6Y/w-d-xo.html There's also Valencia 2 which just added more of the stuff from Valencia 1. You can easily search for whatever materials you want using this map website: somethinglovely.net/bdo Enjoy!
Love this video! Well laid out and categorized. What I especially like is you sticking to the important information. You go though what's necessary to understand your points, and you don't water it down with a lot of extra talk. Thanks a bunch!
Thank you so much. It's so hard to find locations on any of these nodes and this video has all the ones I was looking for. Wish I saw this video a month ago.
This is brilliant stuff, thanks a lot! You're very easy to understand as well! For your Heidel house map, have you got max warehouse capacity? I noticed you didn't have any in Calph. I'm having a hard time getting it right so if you wouldn't mind sharing a clear image of your house layout I would love you forever.
+Ninjabz Yeah, I have major hoarding problems and Heidel is maxed. Here's the screenshot: imgur.com/PEZxM3j or imgur.com/rfFKViG (different angle) My best advice is to buy any storage that gives you equal or better than a 3 to 1 ratio. If it's a chain of houses, calculate them as a group. The smaller units tend to be the best ones to start with. Also, fair warning, I bought like $10 or $15 worth of storage from the Pearl store, so you'll still come up 2-3 rows short from max following what's in that image.
theres a set of houses in the south east area of calpheon with a lot of equip upgrade workshops. i find that set of houses is very cheap for storage. in altinova, im using your lodging set for both lodging and storage. really great for both and also has equip upgrade rooms as well..
Very nice guide, there is a cheaper way to get to the behr riverhead node though. If you go over the mountain ridge, there is another node there you havnt discovered. Cheers
if gonna craft and harvest a lot personally, aside from stocking strength, theres the armor you get from thieves. i forget the name but its green armor that raises the carry limit
Very useful guide. Thanks for the awesome video. But I find it very difficult to get milk and cheese. It's like impossible to buy milk from the auction house either. Any suggestions? Thanks.
Fantastic. My question is about storage. Have you maxxed Heidel storage, or are you being very disciplined about what you keep? I have 131 CP and a huge chunk of that is invested in Heidel storage. I want to branch out to some of the nodes on your list. But I don't know if I should divest from storage in order to do it. What is your investment in Heidel? Thanks for the great video!
+Drive Forever Heidel is absolutely maxed :P I have about 80 CP invested there, with probably 60-65 being storage. I have been trying to be smarter about where I keep certain materials in other towns so I can conserve some storage, but I don't think I will ever have more than 1 or 2 empty rows in the Heidel bank. I think if you're deciding where to setup, Calpheon might be a more efficient choice, but I prefer the location & flavor of Heidel.
calphoen storage (i couldnt find my other comment on this) i set mine to the area 2-# on the east side of the north south waterway. it lies immediate north of the trade merchant at south calpheon. close to the library/valkyrie area you can get a ton of storage for very few points comparatively
+Kyle Jett I can't really confirm it 100% because the drop rates are pretty low, and I have nothing to compare it to. If someone wants to send me some data with a level 1 node, I can compare and see if my average is actually higher.
Hey man, nice vid seems i have been doing the right thing so far. Just one pointer you are missing North Kaia Mountaintop node. It's between Gabino Farm and Phoniel's Cabin. It will free op some contribution for you ;).
Good guide. I can see now my mistake as you mention Hidden Nodes in the title but you don't explain how to unlock them. I assumed by just going there they get unlocked. But had insufficient energy to unlock them by paying the Node Manager the 35 energy (that is how you unlock them, right?) So I made 2 runs to Glich Ruins and Ancient Ruins Excavation Site - both fruitless for the time being.
+jim01q Sorry to hear that. There are two annotations (at #10 and again at #1) that explain how this works - I suppose I could have kept it up the whole time but didn't want the annotations to become overwhelming.
+Morrolan TV Yeah just checked and saw them. Didn't read them first time around. So my mistake. IMO that tip warranted being vocally given but I guess this guide isn't for noobs which I was at the time
falls es noch interessant ist für dich: du musst erst per gespräch mit dem node Manager die Möglichkeit freischalten (kostet glaub ich 35 Energie) dann kannste dort abbauen
Don't know if you know this already, but Powder of Earth is also needed for Light Horseshoes. Which will be more popular when horse racing eventually gets implemented. Battle shoes use Powder of crevice and you can see the difference in price on AH even with similar amounts up for sale. Get digging people xD
+Morrolan TV I only mentioned because I started late on that. I can't afford to risk upgrading a cook's with my low supply and made some horseshoes to repair max durability on my own +5s. I kick myself still.
i didnt hear you talk about silver and opal.. i have a worker at keplan mining south of keplan around/beyond land of giants. gets silver also in mediah by altinova, you have a connected node that gets opal. but i need to find a place for gold ore for a quest near hydel...
I assume the usefulness of this guide depends on your server?, just checking Market on Croxus atm Trace of Forest 4k each, Trace of Battle 3k, Trace of Ascension 1k, Trace of Earths good at 12k, Trace of Origin 4.5k, Trace of Hunting 850s, Trace of Chaos 1k Old Tree Bark is also good at 10k White Cedar Sap 250s Powder of Time 850s (rarely sells) Platinum 8k 32k 69k for ore melted and ingot Powder of Darkness 850s (rarely sells) Rough Black Crystal 7k (28k is processed to Black Crystal) Powder of Earth 10k Trace of Savagery 12k Hopefully this will be useful to some people
Most of these aren't about the value of items they're about stock - example EU: Trace of Forest is 8k yes but always out of stock and a 12k preorder isn't enough. Same on Savagery, Ascension, Origin, Earth. Most of these are important for crafting costumes at large profit margins, others for alchemy.
I been trying like hell to get a human worker for Hidell and all I can get is a goblin or giant. Humans just are not offered. Is there something you need to do to get a human worker there? I tried the replacement worker feature but again all it offers is goblins and giants.
one more thing, what's the difference between investing energy into a for example lynch farm, then you click on the mining node and you are able to invest energy thete too, is first one for drops n second one more minerals?
Investing in the first one (the area) gives you better drops from mobs. Investing in the actual production node does nothing, according to a Q&A that PvtWiggles had with one of the Daum representatives. Just a waste of energy for those of us who did it :)
Nice video man, I recently started BDO and I was wondering where to invest my few (70) CPs. Do you think is better to take those nodes or start a sunflower production with farm for better income?
+CortyGames Sunflower crates are very good money - probably the best cash for your Contribution if you don't have any high level professions - but you have to be very active in tending to them to make the most out of it. I personally gave up on Sunflowers after about a week because I didn't like the upkeep micromanagement compared to other money making activities like crafting or grinding. Regardless of what you decide, be sure to take the #1 node no matter what, as it only costs 2 points total and the material is very valuable.
Are Calpheon/Mediah boxes/crates worth doing as a good silver per energy spent source of income? I've heard it's not really worth doing in NA/EU version of the game.
UPDATE: A new 2017 Top 10 Node Video is ready! th-cam.com/video/npFgXn-gHNY/w-d-xo.html I'll also be working on an advanced node guide that goes beyond top 10 that will help you develop in-depth strategy for complete node net works. Check back soon!
idk how much the game has changed since this video but how come some of the excavation sites dont have anything for my workers to gather? am i missing a certain node in the territory?
Hey man ty for this tuto but i have one question how do you buy a worker in glish for the free lodge? i cant find it or maybe i have to buy a worker from calpehon and move it to glish and how i do that? please
Investment in area nodes boosts regular drops, and investment in worker nodes boosts regular materials. Whether the investment boosts rare drops at either one, nobody knows for sure. It takes a ton of time and energy to test properly.
how do you hire a worker in glish or even move them there because I cant seem to manage to find the worker manager in glish nor able to move them into town
The work supervisor in Glish is named Bach. Talk to him to hire workers. You can't move workers from one town to another - you can only send them to do tasks, but they will always go back to their hometown.
Thanks, I have about 249 cp and have been using them for farming sunflower which end up to be around 4mil a day. I am trying to change it up to using it for worker nodes but cant really decide what to make and sell. I tried a few excavation site but the rate were very low compared what i make with farming that i kind of just stopped. any suggestion on what i can make and sell with those nodes?
+bob lad The traces are generally important for Alchemy in too many ways to list - for example, Savagery for Metal Solvent (which makes Pure Crystals, a key ingredient in a lot of manufacturing) or Earth for Plywood Hardener, which you need for boat parts, noble wagons, etc. If you don't have Skilled Heating, I'd probably recommend manufacturing Grunil helm/gloves with the Zinc & Black Crystal, or Trainer, Gatherer, & Cook costumes using both traces from Bernianto and powder of earth from Behr Riverhead.
Thanks! I rearranged my farm last night and got 40 cp back to invest in nodes and some building. Currently at prof 1 pro and app 1 alchemy, i'm going to try to rush those
I used to invest energy in Worker Nodes thinking it would help at high levels, but Daum has confirmed since then that investing does absolutely nothing. Only investing energy in area nodes (non-worker nodes) apparently has any effect.
I do not have a node option at Glish Ruins for Trace of Origin. How does one obtain this knowledge for the node. My node manager does not have any options.
Currently as is energy does not affect workers on the node. If you really want to you can dig for the forum post where CM or GM confirmed this, they did however say they might do something with it in the future. Sorry for the necro reply but I had to :p
How do you unlock the resource nodes for the abandoned iron mine? I've talked to the node manager and even connected the node but I don't see how to invest in the resources.
You don't have to do anything to unlock them, they are available immediately. There's 3 different Abandoned Iron Mine nodes - you want the one shown in the video, not "Rhutum District" or "Saunil District."
Ok, thanks. I'll have to put in a ticket. I've contributed points to other nodes for trading, so I know what to do (this is not user error on my part). The weird thing is that when i left click from the map on the Abandoned Iron Mine node (not either of the 2 District nodes) I see no resources that can be invested. I thought I might have to acquire knowledge first, as some nodes do.
This game has gotten me hooked it's grundy as hell later on but even the grind is enjoyable just stick some music or an audio book on and afew hours goes by before you know it
Talk to the node manager, invest in the node, then talk to the node manager again, and you will be able to spend 35 energy to unlock the excavation node.
+Cheong Tsang To unlock excavation nodes, first talk to the node manager and invest in the area. Then exit and talk to the node manager a second time, and they will have an option to unlock the excavation node for 35 energy. After that it will be available to you permanently.
Since you know this much of nodes, can you tell me why i can't find the iron node at Karcenov (Kurutos cave) that the BDOFoundry map shows here www.blackdesertfoundry.com/map/#6/-17.130/-74.597 ? i did try to talk to him after or am i suppose to play amity!
+Silly Sin I believe it's a mistake on the Foundry map - I don't think it exists. If you want Iron I would recommend the spot next to Velia for cheap iron, or the spot at Altinova from the top 10 list (#3).
i managed to get one connected to Calpheon near Hexe since i have that connected anyway and need the iron in calpheon but thought this was perfect, oh well thanks for this vid too.
That is the wrong node, after you unlock that one, there is a second one, talk to the node manager again (need 35 Energy) to unlock, that second node is the one you want, not the Silver Azalea one. I did this same thing, and collected 2100 Silver Azalea, until I looked it up, and found the second node at lynch farm ruins.
I did that after i commented haha, when u invest in the node, you are able to invest energy into node, then once you click on the mining u can invest seperatly, do u know which is beneficial is i dont wan tto sink my energy in to waste
Morrolan TV Yea I thought it was until I found that point on the mountain and it doesn't connect. So I realized your velia and heidel aren't connect I'm a dummy haha I've only been playing for a week my mistake. Thank you for your guides tho!!
It's worth doing if you're invested in any of the things that these nodes supplement. There are no updates other than the Valencia node video. The game is too big to answer blankly if something is "worth it" since that depends greatly on your playstyle :)
UPDATE: 2018 Node Guide is here th-cam.com/video/uZLjvwKRnnQ/w-d-xo.html
For those of you who can't see the Excavation nodes, once you invest in the area node, you can talk to the node keeper to unlock the excavation node. It usually takes 35 energy to unlock.
thanks for making these useful guides morrolan, i was feeling overwhelmed with nodes and managing 150 cp as a relatively new player (1 month in), then i found your guide :D

you earned a thumbs up for that, idk why your vid so long but good job putting those node time points there
A lot of people have been asking for an update to this video, so here it is:

Enjoy!
hey dude, which question. Which of these nodes do you recommend putting human to for their high luck? besides the excavation node
Morrolan TV the fishing nodes are fore Dried fish the fish is used fore the First recipi fore inparial cooking i am a master 7 cook
Fishing nodes are much different now than before. I'll be making an updated guide about nodes soon.
Hay.. need help... how to open resource pine in shrine... ?? In npc is nothing... just node without resource
Love this video! Well laid out and categorized. What I especially like is you sticking to the important information. You go though what's necessary to understand your points, and you don't water it down with a lot of extra talk. Thanks a bunch!
This was a super informative video. I checked on the marketplace to see which Traces are the most expensive and invested in the nodes. Thank you!
In my opinion this was the most enlightening video about BDO Ive seen yet.
I thoroughly enjoy watching your videos. They're insightful and relaxing. Please keep making them.
The best video out there explaining the various materials and the nodes to farm them. WELL DONE!!
Thanks Morrolan, I rate this is one of the top BDO videos on youtube. Excellent information.
+Andy Pask Thanks for the kind words!
This is great insight about nodes and workers. I learned a lot of new things today.
Thanks, well done, clear and thought out. Cheers mate.
Thank you so much. It's so hard to find locations on any of these nodes and this video has all the ones I was looking for. Wish I saw this video a month ago.
This is brilliant stuff, thanks a lot! You're very easy to understand as well!

This was a fantastically made video, thank you so much! Now I just have to get more CP to afford investing in these nodes,
Amazingly indepth, thank you so much for taking the time to make this! :)
I've actually been looking for a video like this.
Been looking for a list like this for a long time! Thank you!!!
Very nice guide, there is a cheaper way to get to the behr riverhead node though. If you go over the mountain ridge, there is another node there you havnt discovered. Cheers
Great info., I'm looking forward to that CP guide mentioned in another comment. Thanks!
if gonna craft and harvest a lot personally, aside from stocking strength, theres the armor you get from thieves. i forget the name but its green armor that raises the carry limit
I dont comment alot but this wast he most useful guide I have found so far for BDO. Thanks too much for this
+Anton Gatus No problem :) More coming in the next few days!
Hey everyone, the new Valencia worker node video is now available: th-cam.com/video/vK6Uhpr9v6Y/w-d-xo.html
Maybe the most helpful BD video I've ever seen. I need this much CP!
Another outstanding video, well done.
Keep up the good work!
Thank you, very good video. Massively helpful and straight forward
wow best Empire guide I've seen.
lol super guide bro! exactly what i needed!
I think if you're deciding where to setup, Calpheon might be a more efficient choice, but I prefer the location & flavor of Heidel.
calphoen storage (i couldnt find my other comment on this) i set mine to the area 2-# on the east side of the north south waterway. it lies immediate north of the trade merchant at south calpheon. close to the library/valkyrie area
you can get a ton of storage for very few points comparatively
thanks to you i was able to find the behr riverhead for my mom
Just what i needed. Thanks for the information
Great guide, your videos helped me a lot. I was wondering, how much can you make per day from selling resources only?
@Morrolan TV do you know for certain that investing in the lynch excevation node helps? I haven't read for certain anywhere
+Kyle Jett I can't really confirm it 100% because the drop rates are pretty low, and I have nothing to compare it to. If someone wants to send me some data with a level 1 node, I can compare and see if my average is actually higher.
i upgraded a few of my worker nodes but not sure it helps either.. tho in media i have a lot of opal, ruby, black crystals etc
Great video, thank you for putting this together.
Hey Morrolan, i watched your new update and get all 10 locations. Question, what location can i also use additionally with this guide ?
Really Good video - Do you know the node for Trace of Death?
Hey man, nice vid seems i have been doing the right thing so far.
Just one pointer you are missing North Kaia Mountaintop node. It's between Gabino Farm and Phoniel's Cabin. It will free op some contribution for you ;).
+JMGroeneveld nvm, seems you got it in a later vid. xD
Great video with good info thanks alot man
Good guide.

also in mediah by altinova, you have a connected node that gets opal.
but i need to find a place for gold ore for a quest near hydel...
opal should be at the copper ore location at mediah beach/shoreline which is 4 nodes from altinova to the north
Thanks for the guide :) now I'm making like 25 million to 50 million by just doing this :D !!
Nice very informative video, thanks for posting
this video helps me a lot, thank you Morrolan
+peter Sun You're welcome!
Amazing guide :) Thank you!
Please up the quality to 1080 please!
I assume the usefulness of this guide depends on your server?, just checking Market on Croxus atm
Trace of Forest 4k each,
Trace of Battle 3k,
Trace of Ascension 1k,
Trace of Earths good at 12k,
Trace of Origin 4.5k,
Trace of Hunting 850s,
Trace of Chaos 1k
Old Tree Bark is also good at 10k
White Cedar Sap 250s
Powder of Time 850s (rarely sells)
Platinum 8k 32k 69k for ore melted and ingot
Powder of Darkness 850s (rarely sells)
Rough Black Crystal 7k (28k is processed to Black Crystal)
Powder of Earth 10k
Trace of Savagery 12k
Hopefully this will be useful to some people

Best tutorial ever!
But i have a question.
Which worker is the best for Abandoned Iron Mine? Goblin, Giant or Human?
Always Human when there is a rare material involved, because of the Luck stat.
damn it... I bought artisan goblin :/
Artisan Goblin is still very good, don't worry too much :) you can also use him for crafting instead.
Morrolan TV Thanks :)
+ sub
I been trying like hell to get a human worker for Hidell and all I can get is a goblin or giant. Humans just are not offered. Is there something you need to do to get a human worker there? I tried the replacement worker feature but again all it offers is goblins and giants.

Thanks for this great info
this was really helpful you got a new sub
Anyone know how to gather silk thread? All I can learn is that it comes from Heating silkworm cocoons. But where are they found?
Ok, exactly what skills do I need on humans besides luck? Or is that it? A Worker vid would be cool ;)
Great video!
Hey man ty for this tuto but i have one question how do you buy a worker in glish for the free lodge? i cant find it or maybe i have to buy a worker from calpehon and move it to glish and how i do that? please
just talk to the work supervisor in Glish. His icon on the map looks like a pickaxe
Ok but i didn't find him maybe i didn't search correctly ^^
Anyway ty for this tutorial man well explained

Currently at prof 1 pro and app 1 alchemy, i'm going to try to rush those
what if i have no nodes around calephon? should i still spend the like 20 cp to get behr riverhead?
Great Vid thank you
does investing energy in nodes of zinc ore increase the chance of your workers hitting the platinum? or you just dont invest energy on nodes ?
I used to invest energy in Worker Nodes thinking it would help at high levels, but Daum has confirmed since then that investing does absolutely nothing. Only investing energy in area nodes (non-worker nodes) apparently has any effect.
Thank you for this!
this is dope thanks
How do you unlock the excavation nodes? For me its hidden and not indicated even though I talked with the npc
I do not have a node option at Glish Ruins for Trace of Origin. How does one obtain this knowledge for the node. My node manager does not have
any options.
Talk to the node manager and invest in the node. Then talk to the node manager again and a dialogue for 35 energy will unlock the node
At Lynch Farm Ruins I only see a gathering node, no excavation. Do I need to invest more energy to unlock it?
+Frankie K. Talk to the node manager again and you will have a dialogue option to spend 35 energy to unlock it.
number six don't exist anymore or am i doing something wrong? nwm you got to speak with node manager and open it with 35 energy
Why I still don''t have possibility of excavation for Bernianto Farm after unlock this with energy? Someone can help me? :(
I thought leveling up a node would only increase drop rates of monsters, not the node itself. Anyone mind clarifying this?
Currently as is energy does not affect workers on the node. If you really want to you can dig for the forum post where CM or GM confirmed this, they did however say they might do something with it in the future. Sorry for the necro reply but I had to :p
excellent guide
This game has gotten me hooked it's grundy as hell later on but even the grind is enjoyable just stick some music or an audio book on and afew hours goes by before you know it
just a question why does my node doesnt have the excavation? like bernianto farm? ancient ruin excavation?
Talk to the node manager, invest in the node, then talk to the node manager again, and you will be able to spend 35 energy to unlock the excavation node.
wow thanks.
When I go to Lynch Farm Ruins, I only have the gathering node and not the excavation. Any idea why?
+Cheong Tsang To unlock excavation nodes, first talk to the node manager and invest in the area. Then exit and talk to the node manager a second time, and they will have an option to unlock the excavation node for 35 energy. After that it will be available to you permanently.
+Morrolan TV Thank you, great video and guide!
You are actually missing a node, The North Kaia Mountaintop.
Im at Lynch farm ruins and I cant see the mining gathering only the silver azalea :'(
That is the wrong node, after you unlock that one, there is a second one, talk to the node manager again (need 35 Energy) to unlock, that second node is the one you want, not the Silver Azalea one.
Great, tnx!
Excuse me how is your Ancient stone chamber connected to norther plains of serendia? Please explain
It's not?
Morrolan TV Yea I thought it was until I found that point on the mountain and it doesn't connect. So I realized your velia and heidel aren't connect I'm a dummy haha I've only been playing for a week my mistake. Thank you for your guides tho!!
jsut me or is the lynch farm excavation one gone/removed?
need to talk to node manager, 35 energy to unlock excavation apparently
So has it been proven the leveling a worker node yields more materials?
No, in fact the developers have told us since that it does nothing
OK cool I just wanted to make sure before investing energy. Great videos by the way very helpful.
TY!!
Is this still worth doing ? i mean is there any updated version of the video ?
It's worth doing if you're invested in any of the things that these nodes supplement. There are no updates other than the Valencia node video. The game is too big to answer blankly if something is "worth it" since that depends greatly on your playstyle :)
I cant get the lynch farm ruins excavation site sadly? Only the farm, am i doing something wrong or...??
Invest in the node, and spend 35 energy with the Node Manager to unlock the excavation.
Ahh okay, many thanks man :)
dud you can heat with crafting for weapons and get the items u are talking about for example trace of earth, trace of ... etc...
earned my sub
You are awesomeee ^^
