This video gave me huge nostalgia. I played BDO for about 2 years (way too) actively until I stopped in 2018. I recently thought about the game but sadly found out I didn't transfer my account so I lost what I had. I never felt like I was done with the game but I guess the game was done with me in the end. The fact that you did all this out of this almost insane burning passion is something I admire so much. I watched your guides way back when, and when I think about BDO I think about you. I do kind of miss the game, especially knowing it's lost without saying goodbye. But I'm glad the memories are still out there, keep doing what you're doing blade, you're an inspiration.

are your current trading card streams financially viable? You mentioned how you arent as well off as one would assume a while back, so given the frequency of the tcg streams I suspect its going pretty well.
They are, yes. I'm very surprised that I can say yes! It's allowed me to not job hunt during a critical time lol. So things are stable(ish) again and I plan to let that income sustain addition dives into gaming throughout the week. This also, for the first time this year, funds the time necessary to make YT vids again so I'm excited to keep editing videos on the projects that catch my interest. I'm am shocked too, but yes, quite literally by selling things on bladestylecards.com/ to my viewers and opening the packs live Friday/Saturday, that actually covers what I've needed to keep making content. I never would have imagined that being possible, but it's happening. Maybe not for long, but for now at least.

It's not a replacement for BDO for me or anyone, but its a game where playing it awads you cryptocurrency and has full capitalism between players to buy and sell game items for hundreds of dolalrs in ETH. @@BladeBoques Unfortunately, I am not moving on from mmorpg yet XD Anyhow, I think in BDO you have a great way on revealing many interesting analysis, and you did them easy to follow way like a podcast, I used to play while listening/watching your analysis all day. I admit I made billions and safe some billions using ur demand supply analysis and opportunity cost concept. It's another way of having fun in the game without having to grind all day. I used to watch a good amount of your videos when I first started in 2017, but eventually fell out of touch. I didn't even knew you quit BDO until someone in my guild mentioned it a few weeks ago, and I was like, Oh shit! He quit BDO? and my guildmate thought you quit in august of 2020. I am not gonna lie I thought it was weird since it was in the middle of the pandemic and there was nothing to do, and this is coming from person who was going to online college, and working as a stocker with constant overtime. I was also playing several games with friends all the time, and trying to watch new series, working out, but still felt like a void in my life, so it just sounded foreign to me I guess. The way you explained it in this video made way more sense, but good luck on your future endeavors, wish you all the best.

I quit BDO, but was suckered to come back during the Kakao > PA transfer, now im back playing and swiping again..
If you want to quit sell your gear. Your gear is what holds you to the game even if you stop playing. You will than feel a weight lifted off of you and can enjoy other games.
I quit aswell, had my BDO account on a different email forgot wich one and could not get my account transfered... RIP 2 lvl 60s and bunch of billions + alot of gear and P2W benefits ofc :/

I loved bdo.. but i quit bdo because i saw i could buy this and that with real money and sell for in game money.. i see.. i want..i get.. and i fell to the trap.. had to quit asap

As long time BDO player, i don't want to quit BDO but everytime i played PVP it makes want to do it, it's not because my gear because my main char has 293 AP which is above average, the reason why i hate this game is because of broken class balancing, combat mechanics and the most broken things is game engine itself, more FPS will makes you much better compared to people who are locked to 60 fps because you deal more DPS than them while at the same time you have fast animation and easilly to escape from being hit.
Class with insane mobility like Warrior and Sorc is really busted at 144fps or more, they really hard to get CC, meanwhile i'm playing at 60 fps with garbage internet too which makes me impossible to enjoy PVP. I do grinding to upgrade my gear because of PVP but with so many issues in PVP, i lost my reason to grinding and keep playing this game. Not to mention enhancing accesories is the most frustrating things ever exists in this game, you waste silver for nothing when you failed. I can understand why you quit this game.

Do you think bdo will stay alive? I'm sorta anxious about it because I love this game but also hate it I've spent three years on this game and the thought of it going dead one day sorta bugs me cause of how much time I spent on my gear just going to waste
I'm also a match addict so I'll answer this. Yes I think it'll stay alive because Pearl Abyss is smart, has money, and a huge team. The game is massively expansive, and there will be value for a lot of people for a long time. Even after they compete with it themselves with other games.

I've got some BDO goals but I honestly think they are impossible with my current set up.
They may be, then break them up and isolate what you can do. Go as far as you can see, and when you are there you will always be able to see farther

My goals are to try and max out all my lifeskills and obtain all knowledge. Been making decent headway on both but man I didn't realize just how much knowledge there is when I started.

After 5 years, EU and South America servers, i m sad to say I did quit BDO this month. I still think it's a great game, but I have zero motivation to play it. I think PA is trying to make it better, but they are still missing the big changes that people need, and the game needs to evolve, specially in PVP. Also got tired, in SA server, of the hacking, gold sellers and China services with zero punishment.

To me, this question is quite simple to answer. I love its world design, its graphics, its animation quality, its fighter game inspired combat system and its dueling & small scale PvP. Oh and, BDO out of all MMORPGs I played offers the most fun grinding experiences to me. I don't lose my life playing it either.
Yes, I am quitting BDO now. I am a relatively new player for about 600 hours over 3 months. Don't like the forced PVP. Will play many other great titles available on the market: ESO, Borderlands, Baldur's Gate, to name a few.
Why? Too much effort for too little progress or even worse. Once you have good gear, no point of forcing to get even better. Will come back, but simply for fun, nothing more, no more silver farming, this takes too much time.
I didn't quit it, but in diffrence to all i am purely pve player, i never did pvp i am not interested in it, i treat the game as relaxing farming simulator and never enchance anything, atm 289/284/340. PEN Bs main and Fallen God. It's slow and steady progress that i enjoy and if i dont feel like grinding i at least try to farm 1 or 2 hours a day. My answer is no i did not quit bdo nor i plan to do. Just because my position in it is a bit unique to other players. ATM waiting for Lost Ark and i will be playing both games.

Thank you, Twitch & TH-cam do not make anywhere near a living so I've turned to buying Pokemon booster packs at stores and I sell the packs live on Twitch. Consider picking some up some Friday or Saturday from me. I've done this since January 2021, and it gets me by. Through 2020 I was just selling my own stuff, I sold 230 things on eBay & Craigslist and that worked before this Pokemon stuff. So yes, I'll remain a content creator, to the extent that I can, with the support that I get. Influences and content creators don't make money.

I hope this ripple effect of great content creators quitting this game continues. BDO much like other games are completely made to milk the player base of time and money. They are 1 foot in and 1 foot out from being the most draining mmo to the most fun mmo. People play mmos to have fun and socialize, they don’t play to be secluded and milked like a cow from time or money like LIVESTOCK.
We have to remember that as entertainment these are fantastic vehicles. The problem arises when any individual seeks to replace life with them. Otherwise they provide value to the marketplace to the extent each person chooses to spend a portion of their wealth and time. In the end, it comes to decision making, and we all have the right to chose good or bad decisions for ourselves. So I wouldn't be as harsh as that
@@BladeBoques your right that’s a valid point. I guess MMOs aren’t for me. Originally I started this game for the unique combat system and customization of my ninja. Somewhere down the line I got sucked in to wanting to catch up with endgame players so I can play competitively and ultimately finding myself focusing on in-game growth rather than my personal growth. I guess I’ll go back to pick-up and play games. It sucks because I enjoy fighting games and I really wanted to compete in this game 😔

I never cheated, please look more into these accusations against me. I had nothing to do with it bugging and reported it when I saw it. The Pearl Abyss CEO has since said they hope to legitimize my reputation by flying me to South Korea and showing the world they backed me through this. Kakao was the publisher, who was wrong about me, and have since been dropped.
