With the issues of cracked welds on the outside leaf hangers, will this, attached to the outside hanger, likely cause more stress on the hanger? Also, is the X-Factor Crossmember compatible with Roadmaster Comfort Ride Leaf Spring Suspension Kit w/ Shock Absorbers - Tandem 7K Trailer Axles ITEM # RM-2460-2570 ?
Maybe it’s just me, but they need washers on those fasteners to increase the clamping surface area. Nice looking kit though. Is it suggested to install 2 for a dual axle setup? I can’t see how you’d put a third on the center.
I’ve seen folks get a V shaped metal piece to reinforce the lead spring bracket that’s welded to the frame. Just provides more welded contact to the frame & the hanger. Curious what y’all’s thoughts are for that as well?
As long as what you're adding doesn't interfere with the articulation of the suspension, what you've got in mind sounds like a pretty good idea. www.etrailer.com/Accessories-and-Parts/MORryde/MR33WR.html
