    Love the Old Trumpets, and the new ones are right nice too.

    Certainly the best looking bike engine ever, the Edward Turner designed parallel twin

    • @thakery5720
      @thakery5720 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Turner designed the original pre-unit bikes, the unit construction engines were developed by a guy called Bert Hpptwood. He had a hand in designing a lot of Brit bikes.

    The reason Triumphs sounded so good was those hemispherical combustion chambers!

    • @pauliebots

      Is that true? I always thought it was the two pistons rising and falling simultaneously. Huh learned something new.

    Great bikes. If a Triumph didn't start on the second kick, no use trying again, it's outa gas. I had a TR6RC that i put a Bonneville head on. Two knobbys.

    Great video, Would you have any idea who made the first bike on the video? I'm sure you won't respond, but i'm asking anyway.
    Thanks for a cool video.

    I remember mine. The mechanical thrashing noise from the top of the motor was louder than the pipes. Just listen.

    If it ain't got two carbs then it ain't a Bonnie - just a Tiger ! The second bike isn't one as it is only 500cc.....

    Any 55-69 Triumph twin is worth more stock whether restored or original than any "custom" sales and the auctions prove the point.

    Idle is too low at around 600 rpm it will destroy the big ends eventually because they will be out of balance. Set the idle to at least 750 rpm. Please. I have a 1976 Triumph T140V Bonneville 750 that still runs and was races for so many years and I am not just taking to impress you. I would not like to see that engine of yours be run into the ground just so as you can appreciate a real slow idle tick over. You need to get your priorities in order.

    • @PeterDad60

      Colton Thats what seperates me from you. I love engines and will not abide a fool destroying one just to sound good at idle! How do you like that Skippy?
