£35 million for Anderson is an unbelievable deal. I just hope we don’t waste it all on Dominic Calvert-Lewin
Lol ha ha Eddie is a bit dumb like that .
@@AdnanAli_313 Where's your evidence for that?
I think PIF made some deal with Forest and Brighton, Saudi club might buy their player in the future.
@Chez114 good question 🤔 I want to know too
It will go further than £35m amortised over 5 years
Love Elliot Anderson but can’t complain on getting £35m for him, do Nottingham forest want Sean longstaff for a low low price of 50m ndxt
Lol make 80 mill
Longstaff is fine as back up.
we’re getting vlachidimos for like 15-20 mil and he’s a back up for forest so anderson has gone for like 15 mil
@yJoka Man what a shit deal 15 mill for him at 30 crazy.
Crazy money for those two, even though, like you, I’m sad to see Minteh go cos I reckon he’s gonna be a real talent in the future. Surely they board must’ve put a sell on clause in there 🤷♂️
Forest fan yes we have got anderson for 35mil however you have bought our 3rd choice keeper for 20mil. Alot of swerving and working together dodging psr
Looks like all clubs will be doing this to work around it
@@toonburg111 villa and Everton doing it
Still laughing at anyone who believed either Isak or Gordon were leaving
Watching the Twitter meltdown made good viewing tho
The transfer window hasn’t closed yet….Shhhhhhh…
@@ronwhitfield8872 We've done what we needed to do by selling Anderson and Minteh. There's no pressure on us to sell so all I can see is incoming now.
@@wilks- I think several still to be sold, but not the three big names. Wilson, Dubravka, Longstaff...
I heard 10 million for Anderson but if it's 35 million, I'd drive him down myself 😂
Aye I agree can't refuse £35 million for him
😂😂
35 not enough for Geordie marradona
35 Mill but I’ve heard (so it could be wrong) you’re paying 15 Mill for our 3rd choice keeper so I think this one was really to help you guys balance out your PSR. We will see how it goes!
This is Football Manager prices 😂
I think the yankuba minteh deal is brilliant and with all our midfield returning from injury I don’t think Anderson will get much game time so I’m not against selling him either
Elliott Anderson did absolutely nothing for us! Hes a bang average bottom half player
Good deal for Anderson, I didn’t really rate him that high to be honest, however I’m gutted about Minteh, think we dropped a clanger on that one.
Minteh will be class I agree selling him was a huge mistake.
Its a keeper from Forest as part of the deal
60m plus for Mintah and Anderson is mental...
Its dodgy, 72m for the pair… inflating the price to meet psr, I bet you end up paying over the odds for a brighton player later in the window to “pay them back”… mark my words
@@BoxingB0oda Brighton have no FFP issues their only one of a few clubs making profit while newcastle have lost 70m each of the last 2 seasons,im surprised with all that business experience on the board that the club didn't start moving players on in January
Any money the deal is 35 for Anderson with some sort of agreement with Forrest that they will help us get over the psr line and we will have some sort of deal in place to buy Gibbs white or elanga for a certain amount like 40 mill or something, just got a feeling
💯
Those are worth that amount though. Anderson worth nothing cos he's shite.
Yes, it looks like the GK Vlachodimos might be part of the Anderson deal and we're still in discussions for Elanga at around 35m apparently? 🤷♂️
@@frankdux5693I disagree with Anderson being shite like,I reckon he's gonna be class, has so much potential, same as Miley, bags of potential
Ya can take Elanga, chicken without a head but no way you're getting MGW!
It was rumoured that Minteh's fee sorted PSR so can't we cancel that if we're getting more for Anderson?
The cash we are getting for these players is nuts honestly. Really like Anderson, but its 50/50 if he's got it or not.
33M for Minteh and 35m for Anderson is great business, there will be performance bonus in there too, this will now free our hands to go out and spend!!!
New 3 year PSR starting tomorrow. This money just brings us in line it’s got nothing to do with being able to spend money
Newcastle have played a blinder there like. Yes, we obviously had to take Vlachodimos for probably an over-inflated fee from Forest, but they done us a favour by paying 35M for Anderson. Amazing piece of business that bails us out of PSR. Now we can look forward to seeing who we really want to improve the squad and shift some deadwood. Exciting summer coming up!!
Not a decent keeper , forest fans are delighted he is going , he should be 3rd choice certainly not 2nd choice
that's a cracking sale honestly, I don't see how anderson is worth that dosh, we could almost afford a full bruno again for that price (for what we bought him for originally, not current value)
If you take amortisation into account and it's 100% profit you can multiply that by 5 on the balance sheet, they've done us a massive favour.
Can’t complain getting 70+ million for the 2 of them at least we can keep our big players now
Plus we getting our second choice GK.
What do these sales mean in terms of us being able to spend then? Anderson is pure profit which is surely beneficial and minted we bought for cheap so surely that’s put us in a good spot to spend big?
I think with Minteh and Anderson there needs to be some perspective with our fans
This isn’t a unique situation, all the top teams have done it over the years Liverpool, Arsenal, Man City, Man Utd and Chelsea have all sold young fringe players or players they’ve given a run in the first team… it’s how we ended up with Willock, it’s how Bournemouth got Solanke, it’s how Chelsea got Palmer, how Forest got Elanga and it’s how Palace got Guehi etc… but for every player that becomes a star elsewhere there’s a few other duds that they’ve managed to shift for decent money, like Liverpool selling Ibe
Let’s be fair that when all players are back there’s not actually much of a pathway for Anderson into the squad and to get into the squad it’s going to mean him elevating his game above a lot of serious talent
Don't be shocked when we turn around and pay the majority of that 35 million back to Forest for one of the 3 we've been heavily linked to. The liquid cash fixes our PSR for a day or two, then we hand most of it back for what would have been a logical Anderson + cash for X. Either would be a good deal though tbh, the club have done well. Sad to lose both Minteh and Anderson, but with the added PR stunt of Isak/Gordon, I'm left feeling relieved. I've been played, hah!
Vlachodimos for free.
thtas a goodmpoint and smart business all round
Even if that's true, it's an impressive piece of business.
Anderson did get game time though. He plays at least every other game for us, and tbh I prefer him to miley lol. Might he alone in that. But anyway, Brighton will get the best out Minteh for sure unless he ends up like fati, it’s good money. We haven’t beaten ffp we beat it twice the amount we needed too to give us selves room! And we about to sign Greek goalkeeper that almost joined years ago
Sounds like both our clubs have helped each other out with these deals.
Have a good season Newcastle, see you at the City Ground 👍
look i get it incredible fee ete etc but Anderson for me had a close likeness to Big Joe in that position off the bench. For his age and being a local lad its still absolutely heartbreaking we've been forced to sell. i wish him all the best, very sad.
i don't know why people think Anderson for 35 mil is a lot, we paid 28 for Hall. Anderson has more first team experience, he is very versatile, a lot more to come from him. We should be backing clubs valuing young players highly. Go against the PL bs about montoring deals, who sets the worth of young players with bags of potential! Minteh stings because we havn't seen what he could do in our team.
Lewis Miley must be worth £105m then 😂
Magpie channel appearing on FORBES ! reporter talking about you is Zak-Garner Purvis. Wrote a good Article.
Selling 2 players for 62 million combined and 2 in for nowt is good business
£68million
Odysseas Vlachodimos
If it had been Longstaff I'd be grinning from ear to ear, but with Anderson being homegrown too (would Minteh be homegrown in a couple of years time?) we've screwed ourselves for Euro's for several years now
Over the top, calm down let’s see what they do with the money
The final assessment on our pre season business will be when we kick off. I know it’s not everybody’s choice but for me Morgan Gibbs White would be an ideal signing because Eddie would turn him into a world beater
The strawberry to Saudi Arabia well that’s the best one yet 😂😂👍
Those guys were crazy talented with a very high ceiling . I’m a bit sad but maybe it works out well .
You sir.. are correct 👍🏻. NUFC have pulled a PR smokescreen master class. Good ol Craig Hope 👌🏻😎
For me….this is canny business for one unproven player and one who isn’t at the standard we need.
Can we not sell Longstaff and Miggy too?
You can only sell where there is a demand
If this has covered the PSR, why sell players unnecessarily. Squad depth is a massive issue, might as well keep them around even if their standard is a bit low
If prices true, then it’s an unbelievable piece of business, trust the owners
Hang on 6:47 when has Brighton got it wrong? It was probably Minteh on Ashworth Gardening Leave list when we took him of Brighton!!! 7:54
Anderson is an excellent championship player and a mediocre bottom 6 prem standard player. We have done the right thing cashing in on him and if £35m is the price then that’s well over double what he’s worth.
As for Minteh we should have let him have pre season with us and pushed to sell Trippier, Pope and Longstaff which two of them 3 could have gotten us near enough the same price of Minteh.
Bad decision imo letting Minteh go!
3:10 we were given the 5m on top of the 30m; to give it back to them for a 5m third choice keeper 4:01
Didn't want Minteh to go. He's just what our midfield need.
How do you know that.
@@steviemac42 I started watching soccerball a couple of weeks ago, so it's obvious.
How has our club fluked that amount for Anderson?
To dodge PSR while you overpay for our 3rd choice keeper. You guys needed more money to help balance out PSR so we overpaid for Anderson so you could get there but in return you overpaid for our 3rd choice keeper
While there are occasionally genuine “scoops” you do also have to factor in that journalists and reporters wildly speculate because they are pushed to by their outlets to fill airtime and articles.
Which means a lot of 2+2=6 connect the dots speculation going on to fill the radio silence.
Also it tends to Ornstein being the one who generally breaks the accurate stories and that goes back to The Athletic seemingly having a good relationship with the people at the club, let’s not forget Amanda went to The Athletic with her tell-all article about the Premier League stalling on the transfer and certain teams trying to block the takeover. They and Ornstein broke the Tonali deal just hours after Romano put out (a now deleted) tweet about there being no truth whatsoever in Tonali to Newcastle and we were in Italy only for Barella 👀
Journalists have to wildly speculate, it’s like they go Man Utd need a new striker, we think Villa need to sell some players to generate money, therefore “we understand Man Utd are interested in the possibility of signing Ollie Watkins” next you know every other journalist is running away with it like a game of Chinese whispers and suddenly another journalist starts making baseless remarks to have an “exclusive” “Man Utd are readying a £90m bid for Ollie Watkins”
And why do outlets put pressure on writers and reporters to fill radio silence with anything speculative or not? Because they’ve got advertising space to sell whether that’s commercials, ad space online or print
There’s also quite often agents feeding the media absolute rubbish in an attempt to negotiate better contracts for their players.
So it’s not quite as straight forward as the journalists have a source and then it gets around
Also the other factor is if you’ve got a passionate fanbase what is one way to drive up engagement with clicks and comments?!? Rage bait… start talking about their star players leaving or deliberately take things out of context, sit back and wait for their fanbase to furiously deny it in the comments or to rage about the decisions being made by the club (which you’ve made up)
I'm an OAP who can't play football - would Notts Forest give me a two million quid to move there? Seriously that's the deal of the summer already and shows what happens when our club is owned by people who understand the principles of good business but abide by the rules no matter how idiotic they are.
I think we’re over paying for Anderson to help balance your PSR out, while you overpay for our 3rd choice keeper. All a PSR dodge before the 30th deadline!
Looks like a possible keeper from Forest coming in as a number 2 called Vlachodimos?
Yup
forest's number two keeper??? why would we want that?
is dubravka sold? havent even heard any rumours about him.
I'm really hoping this Anthony Elanga thing is true. I think he would be a fantastic addition to the team, his work rate and playing qualities suit our current squad.
Forest will not be selling him
As a Forest fan I feel like we’re in an abusive relationship with NUFC 😅, why are we constantly getting mugged off with transfers from you lot?! 😂🤣
Do you think after selling anderson, we need to sign a new midfielder like a new number 6 or number 10
sad to see him go but might be a good move for him, how he doesnt get in the scottish team the state of them i never will know
Anderson turned Scotland down
I don’t trust Eddie to spend it looking at the crap we have been linked with.
Linked with but not bought. It's News Paper talk.
@@andyh323 Not really the DCL deal was fact only broke down because of his wage demands.
Now we need 1 possibly 2 strikers right winger, right central defender 😂😂🤔🤔🤔 3:48
Saw you quoted in Forbes article about this haha
Have you watched Minteh's highlight reel? He's 90-95% left footed. A younger Miggy? I think its a good deal given the sh*t show that is PSR!
Sad to see local lad Anderson go. Take good care of him Forest 😢
rabiot would be a great deal to replace longstaff AND anderson in my opinion, then develop bruno and tonali as 2 CM`s with rabiot as the cdm
Anderson deal is great but I wish we kept minteh but understand why we didn’t. Hopefully got a buyback or sell on fee.
Keith Downie says the deal for the Greek keeper will cost us 4 or 5 M.
Keeper coming your way in return tho…….whilst the fee for Anderson is 35M the undisclosed fee for the keeper will be massively inflated…..in reality we haven’t paid that huge sum for Elliot
Surely £35m is going to be looked into, he is only worth half that currently.
£35m is nuts.
Very good business if that is true! Building for the future!
When you consider we paid the same for isak what we got for them, it’s class business
How do move forward if we have to keep selling is my question as a club we need better revenue now
The club are building more commercial deals which will kick in and increase the clubs revenue
I know this is crap having to sell these players but in the long run do you think they will be our main starters no? So it enables us them to get better players and hopefully there may be other young talent out there we could find.
Minta played in the champions league last season I would pick him ahead of Miggy all day long.
Did we end up getting anyone from Forrest for the Anderson deal?
lol. Love the first part saying about your sources. These days all our fans think everything is click bait lol. There again sky sports makes up stuff a lot too.
We got Third Choice Goal Keeper for 5m for Nottingham 1:56
Feel for Anderson!!
Hopefully with Tottenham trying to sign Archie gray from Leeds hopefully they try to sign Sean longstaff
why do we have to sell both thats the question?
The question I why didnt we sell someone in January when the season was over.
Gutted about both of these, but the Anderson one reminds me of Tonali leaving Milan.... Anderson never scored for us, so get a 5ver stuck on for him, scoring past us a la Chris Wood!
And Minteh! You know he's going to want to show we shouldn't have sold him.
Great business 👏
We have got the Miley Brothers coming through any way! 6:35
It wont be 35 million upfront. It will be based on how he does in the future so he will have to fulfillhis potential in a red shirt for it to rise to that fee. Just like when we signed gibbs white. It was reported 40 odd million but we paid 20 plus million upfront & the rest is made up of potential future add ons
Rather keep Anderson & sell longstaff
TBH I think 35 m and Newcastle pay back 25 m on the quite, keeps all parties happy, especially PSR
wonder if forest want target? :P
Nahh insert buy back clause on both of them
He took one for thr team, but yeah, looks like Anderson made a career decision for game time. Good luck to him.
Makes you think £25M for Maxi was far too low - and the Prem Bully Boys wanted to question that. This league is so shameful and rules are corrupted to protect the greedy fat cats.
I hope there's EPL protests amongst the provinicial teams like us - NUFC, Villa, Leicester, the Toffees, Forest & West Ham. Theres strength if TheOther14 make their voice heard.
Elanga is a joke. The top 6 must be laughing their heads off at that. Eddies obsession with horrifically terrible players is becoming a problem. I can't wait to see super miggy fall over trying to cross, and watch his shots clear the stadium again next season. Our ambitions are legendary lmao
How can the club overspend so much that 2 players had to be sold they tell us that we can’t spend because of PSR and this happens the club need to come out and explain themselves we’ve lost 2 good young players when MIGGY WILSON & TRIPPS could have been sold in January
I've just said the same comment 5 minutes before I read this one great minds think alike.
Maybe they want to buy alternative positions like right centre back and right wing.
@@claireleerusiana9616 people are saying I’m negative we are massively over the limit and we could have sold players in January but didn’t but then have to get rid of two really good young players WTF the club didn’t know in January there would be a shortfall ????
@@andyh323 That’s not my point Andy they must have known in January we would be in trouble could have tried harder to get rid of some of the older players but no they leave it right to the last minute and now we have to sell 2 very good young players how much were we over FFS
@@BigDom61how do you know how hard they tried 😂
35 mil seems absolutely unbelievable... lol I'll take it all day every day.
We've sold well, to stop getting point reduction, NOW just have to buy wright top 4 hear we come.
Good money
I'm likely in the minority but I'm unhappy in general. Nothing against our club, it's PSR/FFP. It's getting tiring.
35 million is class for anderson, how much is longstaff worth?
Only thing is... wood went there, scored 12 goals in a season 3 of them against us... if elliot and minteh go and then light the league on fire and score against us then we might not praise the business as much lol
And getting the forest keeper who forest fans think is less of a keeper than Matt Sels hahaha...ffs
Nottingham Forest owner must owe our owner outside of football! 😂🎉
The clubs have found a PSR Transfer Loophole!
You do wonder if Anderson could end up like Michael Carrick.
Wood was their leading scorer wasn’t he? 4:39
You say £35mil for Anderson is good but this boy will come back to haunt us just like minter Anderson will show how good he actually is over the next few years then we will see if he was worth it and minter even bigger star 👻👻
Forest having Newcastle’s pants down lol
I would absolutely love to have Jonjo back
😂Take him please!!!!!
@@apocalypticdaze2139 was he sold to Turkey or is he just on loan?
i told you it was happening in your last video
Maybe minty doesn't fit Eddie's style of play. Maybe he doesn't work as hard off the ball like another maxi then I would understand why they selling him especially for profit too
Maybe he's the next Ivan toney.
@@claireleerusiana9616Maybe he is. But this is not maybe 35m, it's definite 35m for a player who is unproven in a top domestic league. For me it's good business and I support this model of it enables us to manouver around PSR
Fuck the haters matty m8 always the best content
Who is now replacing Anderson in the squad??? 6:25
I'm gutted Anderson going.😢
Keeper
Knowing our luck minteh will go to Brighton and become top scorer for them and Anderson will do the same 🤦♂️
