As a Newcastle fan I hope Anderson does well for yous, he is a real grafter and didn't really find his best position under Eddie, he has a high ceiling so could be a great signing in the long run.
As a child I used to visit relatives in Killingworth and Gosforth. Loved it up there. People are so friendly. Visited recently, nothing has changed. Newcastle are my second club because of this. Best of luck for the season ahead but keep of MGW 😂
He was amazing for us on loan in League Two a couple of seasons ago. He played as a winger & drifted into the middle but at Newcastle he was more of a cm. It’s great to see the development & hopefully he does well at forest. Absolutely love the Geordie Maradona.
compared to what we paid for Lewis Hall and Tino Livermento, and the fee for Minty - is 35 that mad for a 21 y/o English / Scot, with a very high technical ceiling, premier proven, versatile who was youth team captain? Wish him all the best, and sad to see him go
I believe he was a #10 (AMC) in the academy... when he made debut into the senior.. against arsenal @ FA Cup.. I believe he was playin as AML (replacing Joelinton) and when he was loan to Bristol, I believe he was playin' mostly as AML... back to Newcastle, in Eddie Howe's era... he played mostly as LMC........... I always believe, he suits more in the advance role.. such as AML or AMC (maybe)... but his versatility to play in many roles, might givin' him some chance to become a complete midflielder... just hopes He's doin' well for the Forest...

When he broke into the team he got a bad injury which kept him out for an age (along with a rdiculous number of other first teamers when we needed them most last season with league/Champs League and cups - but you'll get your money back and more with this lad

Vlachadimos cost you 8m and is your 3rd choice keeper. I saw a report of 12m being the fee plus book debt leaving you net zero for him and thus getting Anderson for the same price we paid Arsenal for Willock who is a very similar player to Anderson. If Vlachadimos was sold for 20m, both our clubs will be getting some serious punishment for PSR rigging.
Then that sanction for “over inflating” will certainly ring true for Anderson and you’ll be punished given his value is 11M or there abouts. You’re getting shafted if we are.
Definitely won't play every week on the wing. Wouldn't say he's a 10 either. He's an 8 surely. Scored 8 goals in his whole career and that was on loan at Bristol Rovers. He's probably going to start on the bench but will still get more mins than he would at Newcastle
If he isn’t starting as an 8 over Yates I think it was PURELY for fsp… which would be disappointing to say the least. We knew the scenario we are in eons ago we cant buy just to sidestep psr this has to make sense on both fronts.
