Why are you blaming Eddie? In December the club wanted to sell Tripps, Wilson and had no intention to buy a replacement. In June the club tried to sell any player from Wilson, Gordon and ultimately sold our 2 most promising youngsters in Minteh and Elliot. Eddie didn't complain. Eddie is simply saying don't sell Wilson if you don't buy a replacement.

On the money, Matty, time to be rid of Mr. Sicknote, pension him off as I cannot see anyone parting with cash for him, if someone asks if he can be had for free, snatch their hand off. If Eddy don't like it , tough, he is feeling very vulnerable now with Mandy and Mehrdad gone. When it comes to transfers in and out Eddie needs to take a back seat, i think Mitchell needs to take ober that side of the club, Eddie should stick to coaching the players he is given. Wilson is just taking up a car parking space, whats the point, he is never fit, if we cant sell him then run down the last year on his deal and release him, but no doubt Eddie will extend his contract 🤦 i love him but his days in PL football are over.
I'm absolutely fuming matty!! He's been fantastic over the years, scoring goals and bailing us out of poor performances despite having a horrific injury record he was worth having around but last season was so frustrating felt like he was never around and when he was I don't think he was practically good and now he's injured again!!! I'd looked to have sold him before this news now we are little screwed we are desperate for another striker Jonathan David very good shout if possible.
Callum would get injured training for a walking football match !! Can’t see anyone coming in for him , maybe he could join the medical staff , he will already have his own bed with his name on it . Saying that if he has to do medical training he’d probly get injured doing that .

@@BerntWilley i respect Eddie and only said that in sarcasm. We all seem to know more than him. Realize this, we only found out in hindsight that the management cumulated around -50m in PSR money. Now if we go back to January, we realize that we couldn't have bought any player of similar calibre to Wilson for the same money because we DIDNT have any money. Its easy to agree we should have sold Wilson. But its equally naive to do that without a suitable replacement. And we know Jan transfer is never easy. But here we are ranting so easy. Are some people actually supporters that follow the club? If they did they'd know the context and situation. Not ranting in isolation. Everyone forgets and out of touch and context that we didnt have the money to buy a replacement anyway. That is why what EH makes even more sense how because the same money you simply cannot find a replacement.
Now come end of season before 30 June we heard Wilson was linked again and he himself made cryptoc social media messages which show even he believed he would leave himself. But i believe Eddie stepped in again. His message is simple, you can sell if you can find a suitable replacement, which they coudlnt because he is right. No replacement, please no sell. And coming from his position, you'd realize what he did was just a simple logical and responsible thing to do
You cant blame Eddie trying to keep the quality of his team. On the season that we didnt have european games, Wilson managed to be fit most of the season.
To replace someone who is only 2nd to Haaland 2 seasons ago, for a club that doesnt have european competition this season, to attract such a player, lets be real and honest, i have 3 words for you = good luck trying
Its Eddie's job to protect his team quality and interest of the club in the football pitch. He has my respect
Now its up to Paul Mitchell and everyone else linked to recruitment to put a convincing case why their next striker signing will make selling Wilson easy decision. Until that happens, i expect Eddie to keep his stance

With all due respect to Howe, he needs to know his place at the club. The world of Newcastle United does not revolve around him any longer. We now have experts like Mitchell and Bunce in place to deal with areas where Howe has obvious limitations e.g. transfers & injury prevention. He seems to be getting his excuses in early in case the FA make an approach. Howe should concentrate on coaching and stop thinking he is the second coming of Alex Ferguson

Totally understand your rant and feel you mate. It needs a bit of context though, because in January market we couldnt find replacement for Wilson of the same calibre for the same money.
Not only we'd have to pay a lot more, which we now realize we cant due to the negative -50m in PSR accounts (in hindsight), we'd also be paying more because thats January market.
So ultimately we couldnt afford selling Wilson without getting a replacement - which we couldnt. It would have been worse selling Wilson and having no replacement.
Given this context, there are calculated risk taken to keep Wilson or having to keep him anyway. And also there's the part where Eddie's wish to keep him and the management needs to keep him happy.
Personally i felt they did try to sell Wilson before 30 June otherwise there wouldnt been links and even Wilson believing himself could go with cryptic social media message. But i think Eddie stepped in

I say this with sincere respect and because i enjoy you and your channel. Sometimes i do feel our players deserve a bit more respect. At least Wilson deserves a bit more respect.
He's been great for us and the season we reached top 4 he was only 2nd to Haaland. He's been a great striker for us.
I understand sometimes we talk about selling and buying players because we meant well and passionate for the club. But our players are also human and have feelings and may end up feeling just like a commodity to be bought and sold away
I know some might crudely put that yes they are. But im afraid this will cause a rift or club lose its soul and connection between supporters and players.
We know its not as simple as it seems to just sell and buy. And im pretty sure Wilson doesnt want to be injury prone himself. He gives his all and even plays with injury to help the team. And he did very well for us too

Good analysis. Howe can go for me. Poor last season in too many games 4th to 7th going backwards.
On the plus side this injury episode will push the powers that be to prioritise a striker and I hope imminent. Only problem is I'm not so sure if we will be able to shift Wilson on so he will still be with us as a back up only.

I think Eddie wants to run the toon like Bournemouth but pif wants it run like a big club I know it’s unpopular but maybe it’s time to part ways. I love what Howe has done but some of the decisions being made and ones last season are questionable.

Eddie’s management of the team and PL performance is gonna be under major scrutiny this coming season. He’s a nice guy but too many of his team decisions are suspect.
We need to sell Wilson man, he is a great striker for sure but we have to move him on now. Way too many injuries now for me. He has only played about 48% of his games since we had him. That is just not acceptable...especially when we only have 2 strikers.

xavi simons/oscar bobb - apart from preffered foot i think they are quite similar in the way they think, have an eye for a goal can see when to shoot but are mainly creators and young generational talent prospects
malick thiaw - obviously behind schar or rotate with schar but if we want schar to stay at the club as long as possible we should really think about managing his minutes better, think of the amount of times you have seen him bluddied up, barely being able to walk, i want to think forward with this signing but also preserve schar for big games etc

Why are you (and others) complaining about the club not selling Wilson? There's a simple equation here - Nobody wants to buy him + He's under contract = he's going nowhere. Simple as that. The club, sure as hell have no plans to have him as second striker and absolutely must buy a decent partner for Isak. However, Isak is also a little bit injury prone so it could be argued that we need 2 more strikers. Wilson is almost certainly going nowhere until his contract ends, that is not Wilson's fault and it certainly isn't the club's fault. Ask yourself this...If you were a club in the premier league or even the championship etc, would you buy Wilson? Of course you wouldn't. STOP moaning about not selling him IT MAKES NO SENSE.
Because the club turned down offers for him in January. This is well documented, so yes, people did want to buy him. Even West Ham and Saudi clubs were interested last month. However, As I’ve said in this video, very unlikely anyone will pay good money for him now. Hence the complaints.

Let's face it, he's been an injury nightmare from the word go & we've all been right on his side whilst the club persevered with him. Yes, there was talk about WHU & Saudi more recently but how keen were they in reality and at what point would he have passed a medical? Remember, the club & Eddie don't always give us the full SP. Didn't Eddie say less than two days ago that there were no signings in the pipeline. Yes, Wilson''s pretty much a lost cause but that status is very recent as is the sudden increase in blaming the club. It's no-ones fault & we have to understand that there's a million things happening behind the scenes that we will never hear about.

Can this really be considered as an injury? I see it more as a planned absence which is always going to happen after any operation and may have been done to try and avoid an unplanned absence come the start of the season

We can’t keep paying top money for premiership proven players who are English with psr and anchoring being introduced and Mitchell has great network worldwide to get the next stars. That’s not to say we can’t pick up quality or elite players
