The leazes park stadium idea as shown in the bondibot video is the ideal solution imho

I thought that was a brilliant video. Really informative. Is spending nearly half a billion to create 8-10,000 seats really viable? I don’t think so; especially when most of them would be set aside for corporate. Pity we can’t just build it in Leazers Park and reconstitute SJP into a park area to mitigate the loss of green space. It might even be better as the new green area would be closer to the city.

Our fan base is embarrassingly thick on social media. Every toon comment section I read, I’m left physically cringing with the shite that people put out there.
The owners being ‘clueless’ is one of them…..

Video clearly sums up that it wouldn’t be worth expanding the current stadium for the amount of seats you’d gain. It’s got to be a new stadium, ideally in Leazes park.

Option C from Bondibot video... Expand into leazes Park and replace the victorian steps where St James current stands, making a park outside Leazes terrace. Who could argue with that!

I did say Leazes Park AREA lads. And my biggest 'why' move, is due to my disability in a nutshell.
The bogs need upgrading massively and I cannot see a way to do that stadium wide.
The Emirates (I was at the 7-3) is a far more (physically speaking) easier venue than our beloved SJP.

Unfortunately, most fans don't understand the distinction between maximising CAPACITY and maximising REVENUE from the stadium. The club don't care about creating extra space for thousands more ordinary fans who'll pay £40 per head per game. They'd much rather create facilities to attract people and corporate clients who'll spend £250 plus per head per game. They don't need to expand the footprint of the stadium as much as ordinary fans imagine to achieve their goals. What they WILL do is reconfigure what is already there as much as they can to make it more suitable for big spending clients. Sad but true...

Traffic management and flow.. off site parking and shuttle from a park and ride for events. Limited restricted route under Stadia Stands tunnel, Metro station change can help. The Listed East Stand areas a bother. We've directed traffic pedestrian safety for a stadia domed and 62.5 cap What St James has is very congested at max flow on foot traffic. A wide Check point Skyway above ground connecting to ticket entry off a stadia is a good thing to investigate.

The Gallowgate wouldn't be too much of a problem bridging across the road like we have at Eldon Square on Blackett Street.
We could take the building right back incorporating a hotel or conference centre plus fan zone into the structure.
The East Stand could be knocked down and built to a better spec than it currently is being made slightly bigger than it is now.
If you look at Real Betis's stadium they have a stand that is very thin and steep which doesn't take up a lot of room although ours would have to be mostly glass for light issues.
I cannot understand some of the moaning comments as usual as we have had to do these things in the past with the rebuilding of the West Stand in the 80's etc
Surely you can put up with some short term pain for longer term gain?

PiF buy the Arena and the land around it. Build a brand new state of the art stadium next to the Tyne. Keeps the stadium central with great access links.
Put gigs on at St James Park in the meantime, then Build a new Arena on St James Park once the new stadium is built.

We know corporate seats disgusts people but in terms of match day revenue they give highest margin per pax as they are usually part of CRM with sponsors, if you want your ticket price to not go higher than what it already is then corporates gotta stay.

Seems a lot of work and disturbance for 10,000 seats max. Then we have a stadium that can never be extended further. I think we have to be brave and do what Tottenham did; twist and build around the current stadium. Yes, it would extend into the park, which is problematic. However, we can offer up some of the current plot as an entrance to the park, running right into the town centre. PIF could also extend the park in other directions and build other parks and green spaces around the city. They have deep enough pockets to keep the council/aldermen of the park happy.

Corporate$$ get a massive chunk and the club grabs a load to give to members, tourists £ and what about the road being a major ambulance route for the RVI?
